    LRH birthday gift from BFG

For those of you who do not know, L Ron Hubbard's birthday is on March 13th.

Most people who have left the Sea Organization after 15 years probably would not have to even think twice about NOT getting him something for his birthday.

Well, I am not like other people!

Because I am such a nice guy (just ask me and I will tell you) I am pleased to announce that on March 13th, 2010 we will be releasing the paperback version of the BFG book!

It will cost $14.95 and will be available on Amazon.com. We have at least 3 major TV stations on board to run programs around the time of its release and we will do another media blitz to promote the book.

And for whatever it is worth and I hope this does not torpedo any planned stuff, but Ellen Degeneres had 4 copies of the BFG book picked up so she and others could read it. I have no idea where she heard about the book, but as she shoots her daytime TV show two blocks from my house, they came over and got some books for her. We'll see. Maybe something comes of it, maybe not. At least 4 more people will have a better idea of what happens behind the Iron Curtain of Scientology.

Also, some other major Hollywood players have read the book. From writers, to producers to actors. I have had great feedback from all of them and so far a lot of connections have been made and doing a movie is look more and more real at this point. When Oscar winners read a book and say it will make a great movie, that can get you pumped up.

If something big does go down, I will try and give some info, but for now that is about it.

So for now we have the paperback coming out March 13th and more goodies that you will hear about in the next few weeks.

    Until next time...

Re: LRH birthday gift from BFG

I'm tempted to propose a sort of inverse birthday game, where we put ovar 9000 copies into libraries in the first month. But that kind of brings back bad memories...

I will, however, vow to personally put copies into my local libraries, and replace them promptly every time OSA steals them.

you, sir, are the boss. I will purchase some copies, and get them into some local public libraries.

That might be the most poetic way possible for Cruise to make his own exit. Not gonna happen, but it would be classic. He could also play himself and Miscavige, do a whole Dr. Strangelove thing with it.

All I ask is that you do not release a "Blown For Good: Golden Era" edition that all of your current customers would have to buy again and if they don't will be forced to stop talking to their families and such...

Yeah, just wish the kindle price wasn't so stupidly high. If it was 5 quid then sure, 10 maybe, but not 15.

Re: LRH birthday gift from BFG

    It's $9.99 on Amazon.com

With the current conversion rate that is 6.5 quid.

Where are you buying your kindle books from?

Re: LRH birthday gift from BFG

Just checked out the BFG book on Amazon. The Blown for Good book is #1, #4 & #6 on the Scientology list of books. Looks like the hardback, paperback and Kindle are all selling now.

Now here is something odd. Last week I saw that someone who had harshly reviewed the BFG book and the only other review they had done was glowing one on Dianetics. When I looked today, the BAD review on BFG was gone! Someone is taking off the bad reviews on the BFG book! the BFG books all have a 5 star average rating now.

It is also, interesting to note that the Dianetics has taken 7th place on the Scientology book list.

I talked to someone that recently bought the BFG book. They said they found out it by reading an article on Scientology. In the article, Tommy Davis said that if someone wanted to really find out about scientology, "They should get and read a book on scientology." The person went to Amazon.com, typed in "scientology" and bought a book. Good thing the book they bought was the BFG book!

Re: LRH birthday gift from BFG

The Blown For Good book is a pretty hot item at some of my local libraries too. Some of them are using the older-style checkout system where the due date is stamped on a card each time the book is taken out, so you can see how much activity a title is getting.

I'm in an area where there aren't that many protest-anons left (like virtually everywhere), but the BFG book still seeing a lot of activity is a good sign. It sort of hints at what some people have suspected, namely that there are still lots of critics lurking in the wings who are still interested and following this whole thing as it unfolds.

If your library doesn't have it, consider requesting it.

Re: LRH birthday gift from BFG

I think more people need to go to library and request this BFG book.

According to WorldCat, there are only 20 copies in the US in libraries. (And 6 australian libraries).. Of course there are zero copies of The Complex and one copy of My Billion Year Contract.

Of course WorldCat is 10,000 libraries mostly universities and smaller libraries and not every metro system, but surprising to me actually.

If the movie deal happens, and you get enough from it, will you release the book online for free?
