I'm looking over at Tim Armour and Peter and I see this tall skinny guy. I do a walk by to confirm my suspicions, and sure enough...
    DAN MURNAN IS ALIVE!!!!!
Mouths dropped, and as the cameras fired up and everyone swung around to see for themselves, Dan scurried of inside the event.

A good time was had for all.
Glibby's signs really ticked them off,:p you could tell.
The all star cast of handlers was there. Tim, Peter, chubby glasses guy, asian Pasadena lady. No tiny Margaret or Patty, but there was a "new Patty" who was actually quite nice and talkative. She was encouraged to stay nice and talkative and to not let Scientology convince her that we were there for any reason other than that we care about the people who are hurt by Scientology.
Balloon tech was in full effect and I'm sure some lulzy footage was taken.
My camera kept crapping out but I should have some tidbits to share once I decompress.
    Stay tuned.

That was awesome. I got there kind of late, and there were half a dozen protesters already there. I tried out my new sign, and I would say that it is full of win. There were several good discussions with handlers that were generally less confrontational, I would say. I got a warm fuzzy feeling afterwards, that you don't usually get. Balloon lady tried to cover my sign, but then was called off that duty. I would say I saw 30-40 Scientologists go in while I was there, but I did get there late.

I think I got video of Dan Murnan, but I'm not sure. I am getting photos off my camera now.

Thanks to the femanon for loaning me her camera battery. You saved me, phew.

Glib's new sign is awesome! I hope to hear some day it caused someone enough doubt to blow like Resistance's sign about Mike Rinder.

    "Welcome to the Event"
Man...even too cheap to make a Flag Tour Banner.
And pointing inside so people don't see it until they are IN the event.

One thing I noticed...is people were coming in, but not in big groups or a constant stream. There was likely a few hundred in there...but far less than the capacity of the theatre.
In the largest concentration of scientologists in the world (As residents. Florida may have more, but many at students), one would think they could fill up an old theatre with people eager to give their money away to learn to be OTs.

Great photos, anti, as usual, and I love Glib's new sign. I really need to go to LA again.

As you will see in my 2nd video, they used tour charters to bus in staff & Sea Org members.... few publics attended.

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

I wanted to add the Glendale police were helpful, courteous and professional.
They just stayed off the side to make sure nothing happened...and nothing did.
They only time I heard them go after someone was when a car tried to go through a pedestrian walkway while pedestrians were trying to use it.

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

What a total waste of the cost of this event.

They only make money when publics buy services at Flag. SO can be assigned there, but they aren't flush with cash. Same with staff.

She and her husband blew in 08, that's the point of asking Scilons where she is.

Some of them might not even know that she isn't "in" anymore.

  27. Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

You all know that there's a back entrance to the Alex theatre, no? Do you think the attendees entered from the entrance on Maryland Ave?
  28. beef Member

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

From what I saw, most staff entered from the back and most public entered from the front. Great vids Smurf.

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

That's the point. It's Scientology's EPIC FAIL attempt at marketing. Fill the seats with staff and Sea Org to make it look to the publics that it's a thriving & prospering cult so the propaganda sounds more believable...

If the cult was honest and told the publics that all the new Ideal Orgs were empty and the cult was losing many of its upper-OT's, that the publics would feel compelled to contribute much needed $$ to the cult?

DM and his cronies underestimate the sophistication of its members. A steady stream of attendees were seen leaving the theater within a hour after the event started.

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

Exactly. Staff & SO aren't told of members quitting the cult unless their is a need to do so, that is, the cult hierarchy feels that continuing hiding and lying about the fact will damage their agenda. Many staff were unaware that Mike Rinder blew when he did and I'd been at protests where handlers called me a liar when I asked them about it.

I remember Patty Baber calling me a "bullshit liar" and that she had seen Mike Rinder at PAC a year after he blew and was then living in Denver.

I asked Odo about Lisa Hamilton and he knew she blew and he was upset she didn't take the "proper" steps of routing out... he compared her leaving the cult to an employee failing to give two weeks notice before quitting a job. I reminded Odo that employers don't dead agent and hire PIs to harass & threaten employees either.

Odo was friends with Lisa and it bothered him that she & Mark blew.

That sounds very much like a cult falling apart at the seams. Do you have any rough estimate of the number of people leaving?

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

I think she was chosen because Lisa was well known and well liked by the LA Scientologists and now she's GONE.

People will want to know what happened.
  34. i'mglib Member

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

    Exactly.

Smurf said he talked to Odo (I think) about Lisa Hamilton, and he didn't know she'd blown. Lisa was one of their people, so I think they all knew her, and might want to ask themselves what happened.

I talked to one handler about all the people. It was interesting.

Re: Los Angeles postgame June 19, 2010

I was quite happy to see PAC Security Chief Jason True let down his guard and spend alot of time chatting with Glib. This, definitely, would not have happened a decade ago when Scientologists were acting with a paranoid frenzy.

Scientologists opening up to chatting with SPs that are friendly & respectful to them is a clear sign that the Scientology mindfuck is being compromised, and it's this type of comm that needs to be taken advantage of versus shouting slurs & insults at them.

I was surprised to see Flyer Guy shake anti's hand. I asked Jason True for a piece of gum and he played the snotty Scilon with me. Later, we walked by me and handed me a piece of gum.

The walls of Scientology are crumbling brick by brick.

god damnit smurf! his name is peter. but yeah he seemed a little freaked out on that. and as long as they know we really don't mean any personal harm to them i think that can help out.

oh and everyone remember the whole buddy popping my balloon incident? I was talking to the cops there about that and they said that can constitute as assault because he was using a burning object to inflict some kind of harm or damage. and I do believe patty cutting the balloons out of the other anons hands can also, being she was using a sharp/cutting object/tool

Get ready SoCal anons... the Maiden Voyage events are coming up... I'm trying to figure out the date and have emailed people to contact the City to see if street permit requests to close down LRH Way later this month and July have been applied for.
