I wish our lazy mods would get a move on...

Looking at other threads on here, it looks like the date is pretty obvious - 20th is too close to xmas, so, the 13th is the natural next choice.

As for theme - what's SF talking about Santa Fawkes? I think that sounds like fun! =D

side question: anybody know when they put their goofy annual winter wonderland scene up for tourist photos on Hwood Blvd?

    They are already under construction.
It will be all December til New Years, but not sure when the tree goes up. Probably soon after Thanksgiving.
  6. Re: Los Angeles, CA

    Hollywood, testing center.

    L. RON HUBBARD's WINTER WONDERLAND will probably be in place and ready...

    Re: Los Angeles, CA

That's awesome. Is that the original that they emailed out? I ask because it's a bit fuzzy and I wanted to know if we could get a more detailed/higher res version.

    Regardless, thanks :)

The Christmas bazaar on the 7th looks liek fun for shoopers. Then we can hang around for the Sunday Services!! Nothing says Christmas like the ASHO Chapel.

    Re: Los Angeles, CA

why must that image look like crap?
  12. Re: Los Angeles, CA

hence, asking for another version, if one is out there!! =P

    Re: Los Angeles, CA

Before it reloaded to the right page size I was able to read it since it was really big. Can it be loaded huge and then we can scroll around on it? Not that I would be able to do that...Prolly dumb question. Sorry.
  16. Re: Los Angeles, CA

No, if the quality is bad, it doesn't matter how big you make it. It'll just be fuzzy.

    =(

I was able to read about Dec 7! see above. It's not too fuzzy to read at least for my fuzzy brain.

Nice work. Helps us in our juggling of holiday plans in LA!!
New Year's Day at the Beverly Wilshire looks like fun.
One of my very favorite hotels, right smack dab in the middle
of Beverly Hills on the way to everywhere!! I doubt if the BW wants
to be surrounded by cops. SRSLY. Such bad PR for a nice place.
Bet they got the Grand Trianon Ballroom--pure fabulosity.

    Re: Los Angeles, CA

Jeez...if they are sending such low quality images, they need to stick to arial font or similar.
  21. Re: Los Angeles, CA

you'd think somewhere among their millions of followers, they'd have a graphic designer.

    Re: Los Angeles, CA

i was talking to one of the guards here and asked if they can put up pics and video online for us to check out, he just told me what we have is a lot better

    protest_0060.jpg

so i other words, scilon staff can't do shit with camera equipment, so i guess that works same with all images

    Re: Los Angeles, CA

Just want to put my 2 cents in to say that protesting at the vertical sign building means protesting the winter wonderland which in turn is going to look like we are protesting Santa Clause. We are going to look like the biggest horses asses you can ever imagine. We're going to look like the anons who stole christmas, which is not cool. Winter wonderland protest: an idea full of fail.

    Re: Los Angeles, CA

Actually folks, I agree with this 100%. The $cilons would LOVE to use that as propaganda. I can see it now......"channel 7 news live from the "Winter Wonderland" display where masked protesters are picketing against Christmas....."

I think a location away from the winter wonderland display would be better. Pick someplace with a lot of traffic, but away from the Christmas display.

I think that these opinions are both reasonable and valid, and would have been a great use to anon 4 fucking weeks ago when this thread was started.
