Re: Los Angeles you know I was just thinking about that, maybe we should plan monthly for next week then. to late to start planning for tomorrow I think
Re: Los Angeles Is there going to be a monthly for april? This will be my first picket and I'm not sure how all this works. Thanks in advance for your help
Re: Los Angeles Well, for starters...Fram Locking Gas Cap — Model# RG-504 | Locking Gas Caps | Northern Tool + Equipment
Re: Los Angeles LOL! I don't get it. Should I buy one of these so they don't do anything to my car? Oh god, I hope not! LOL!
Re: Los Angeles Old drama unrelated to LA. Basically, If scilons have been after you for years (so you say) and your car is parked in the open and people you think are scilons are spotted putting something in your gas tank because it never occurred to you to BUY a locking gas cap and you drove the car around a lot after you think someone messed with something under the hood ...then don't expect people to be willing to donate towards the $5000+ you say you need to fix the car. This does not affect anons. But everyone should get a locking gas cap if getting to their gas tank is easy. Common sense. Unless you are an ex-scilon apparently. If you are new and coming to the protest...we don't have as many handlers as we used to following people, there are red line stations near most places we protest, and if you do drive, park far enough away that you can see if someone is following you. Making sure the scilons do not have your plate number is the best way to remain anonymous. (In California, Private Investigators can do searches on License plates, and scientology hires a few still)
Re: Los Angeles Our plates are confidential so hopefully that will help So do you guys just announce the date each month? And do you suggest I bring signs, leaflets or both? Sorry so many questions. New to all of this. Never been a member of the church either. Or so called church I should say!
Re: Los Angeles awesome, now, can we plan? I'm going more insane... then usual... not knowing when and where we are going to do this
Re: Los Angeles I'm a stay at home mom so I am free to join you guys any time. Didn't Riverside county pass some sort of law that you can't picket outside of gold anymore?
Re: Los Angeles LA protests are in LA. By L Ron Hubbard Way and Sunset and at Fountain I believe. Gold is a different protest site. You'll have to post there to find out .
Re: Los Angeles Oh ok I'm sorry, I thought Gold was the one in Hemet Someone mentioned it on the previous page and I thought that was the one they were talking about.
Re: Los Angeles The last picket at Gold was Feb12, 2010. The law that was passed has not affected picketing at all. It would get picketed more if it wasn't in BFE and usually hot as hell. Globals would not occur there due to lack of viable public transportation. Carpools need to occur with people who don't mind the cult seeing their license plates...so take a bit of planning. But picketing there is not a legal problem.
Re: Los Angeles Since I cannot make the 17th or the 24th...my vote means nothing. But part of the reason I will not be able to make the 24th is because I will be at the LA Times Festival of book st UCLA...partially irritating the cult while I am there. We can do both. Some are already going to UCLA no matter what, so that will have people.
Re: Los Angeles maybe some of us can do both, it ends at 6 right? well who's going to be there all day? anyone into that idea? what time should those of us into both want to take off at and where to? BB or HGB? start time 3 or 4?
Re: Los Angeles Incidentally, and I know my vote means next to nothing since I'm just one person, I'm going to be in LA visiting my uncle this weekend, and would probably be able to make it to a protest this weekend if y'all were to do it this weekend.
Re: Los Angeles Sunland-Tujunga Scientology is alive and well, actually. I don't think they're actually doing any sort of mission work, however. Just selling books.
Re: Los Angeles so the 17th looks pretty unlikely to me, given the lack of chatter. however, the new construction on LRH way is begging to be christened with its first raid. just my opinion. i can't find the thread with pics/discussion of the ongoing construction, but for a few months the parking lot and building face for the Dianetics foundation were all torn up. recently, I remember seeing it and it was looking much more complete.
Re: Los Angeles Looks like it has to be the 24th now. We ought to rename the thread title to reflect the date. I'd vote for HGB over big blue simply because of the amount of foot traffic. We get to interact with and educate a lot more public on Hollywood Blvd. than at Big Blue. Also, I just looked at the LA Times today and I don't see any mention of CoS or Bridge Publications or Golden anything in the list of exhibitors. Do we know for a fact they will be there?
Re: Los Angeles The parking lot is mostly complete with new lighting. The parking lot has been extended all the way back to the Big Blue residential building. But, they're not letting anyone park on it, yet. They're still remodeling the building that is to be the new Ideal Org.
Re: Los Angeles The 24th sounds good to me as well Will be there. I'm a newbie too so maybe we can hang!
Re: Los Angeles You can get a lot more enturbulation going at the UCLA Festival of Books on the 24th, than yelling at empty buildings. Just saying.
Re: Los Angeles UCLA Festival of Books is a great idea. We can protest and look at hot college chicks too Expect handlers to show up with lots of black PR flyers bashing annonymous equaling major wins for US not them. Plus, it's easier for me to get there from the beach. Who will join me?
Re: Los Angeles can't protest at the book festival, you'll get kicked out. and wearing a mask might not be the best idea
Re: Los Angeles Beef, I'd do UCLA on the 25th! I was actually on planning to go to the festival of books on Sunday anyway. I don't know how many fags would be interested in doing UCLA on Sunday though.
Re: Los Angeles I don't think so. I'm out there all the time and it's not dead till that fucking wall of bullshit is gone. They abandon, then when the coast is clear they come back. And they're targetting Koreans out there with Happiness, who I still see running about in their white t-shirts and cheap sun visors. There are a lot of wealthy Koreans living in the LaCanada-Flintridge area witch is very close to Downtown Glendale. There is no way Scientology is going to ever give that base up without a fight. It's too much like Clearwater, anyway. The two cities have the same feel to them, seriously. Are any of your materials translated into Korean? I guess this means I'm going to start taking pictures, yep.
