I'm going to get lynched for saying this, but we should probably remember that whilst we of the internets have a special affinity for our Lord and Saviour Rick Astley and that particular song of his, most of the free world finds 'Never Gonna Give You Up' hugely irritating.

I like the idea of doing requests for the Police, mind

What are a couple of brit cop theme tunes that are well known. Then you can just kick one on and say this is for them to make up for the risk-rolling.

Plus the idea of anon playing law enforcement music at the scilons has minor lulz value.

Somethng like "The Sweeney" or "Z-Cars" or "The Bill". Actually, none of them have lyrics I think, so maybe naff idea? There's always 'cops' bad boys I guess...

I like the idea of plod requests, however if we could do a remix of the bill theme tune and Rick Astley, t'would be win.

It's this kind of mentality which has left today's Bill with a shit theme tune (not to mention Crimewatch and Time Team).

    FUCK THAT

As ever it would depend on the skills of the editor. I can see however now, moreso than ever before, the dire risks involved in remixing the bill.
  7. Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

Bill theme tune that morphs into Rick Astley?

    Police decision

I got a call from Jim a few minutes ago. A couple of Anons have written in to his station prompting him to have a meeting with his Governor. The TL:DR is as follows

*Due to the lower numbers, there will be no police or barriers present at any future protests.

*The police will expect a protest of some form at TCR most weekends.

*Calls from scifags or others will be dealt with by whoever's on duty.

*Although they are not banning music, local residents and businesses may get the council involved if we continue to play it loudly Short bursts (rickrolls etc) are acceptable.

Since people do live and work nearby I think we'd do well to limit the music volume for the sake of future protests. Becoming as big a nuisance as the scifags in the eyes of locals is not a good idea IMO.

But other than that, no restrictions on time or suchlike?

I'd call this win pretty much, we're being left alone to do our own thing.

    1) Make Rick Astley card
    2) Write message thanking Met for their helpful approach over last x months
    3) All sign card (Anonymous of course)
    4) ????
    5) Profit

I'll have to do another FoI request in six months time to find out how many more false callouts the scifags have made, without the police on the spot to tell them to stop whining.

I think we should also thank the leader of London Anonymous

    JPF

Is he still involved? I haven't seen him for ages and he was getting pissed off at being dragged into the drama circus surrounding Heretic.

  15. Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

thankfully those two naughty boys are keeping most of their drama out of WWP and mostly on the chans.

but the news that Jim's given us is good... a fair compromise.
should we print out the communication to have to hand in case of
    over-zealous/un-educated police involvement at raids?

    Good idea!

also, thanx to An0nan0n for his/her unceasing efforts in keeping us onside with the police.

Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

JPF & Heritic found that The Saddow brings soo much drama to this place there wasn't enough board space for them all. So The Saddow fags up this place while JPF and Heritic fag up the chans.

Also Blitterpong you're observation of who fags up what is disgraceful while you obviously do post here your troll does fail.

Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

You're bringing Drama to this place careful now you may be accused of being JPF, Heritic or The Saddow.

Also can i haz animal pr0n?
  21. Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

Please don't spoil the win with faggotry again, ffs. This is why we can't have nice things.

Also, big props and many internets to An0nand0n for being AwesomeLiaisonAnon.
  22. Re: Police decision

    Definite win here.

But one clarification - Is there still an expectation that we phone ahead for miniraids? Or should we not bother, since we only ever gave notice as a courtesy anyway?
  23. Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

I personally would still phone up. They now recognise, and expect, there to be miniraids most weekends but it would still be curteous to let them know in advance when we ARE having them. That would also give them chance to tell whoever's on duty in that area what to expect regarding Scibaawing etc.

This is a definite win for us. No restriction on durations, and no more pen!

Excellent news, London! I'd call that an EPIC WIN

Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

I wouldn't bother calling simply due to the way the dispatch system works, basically it's unlikely whoever responds will have had the message given to them.

True. Plod on Saturday had no idea that Jim had been called.

Seconded- both in recognition of the way AnOnan0n has sorted stuff with the cops-

    Also- I will buy AnOnan0n a drink.

Re: London Policing. London Anons, PLEASE READ

To clarify, there's no need to let them know about weekend raids in advance. They assume we'll be there.

Also, all I do is relay messages between Anon and the Met/COL police regarding when/where the raids are taking place. What prompted Jim Moore and his Governor to take action was the messages sent by other Anons, who, as far as I can tell, remain Anonymous (lol). Go Hivemind!
