I have come to the realization that what Hubtard was doing was assisted "cold reading", and old "psychic" trick but using the e-meter rather than just body language to do his "psychic readings".

And some trance to lower inhibitions and bullshit detectors.

Hubbard was majorly into "entities" in early 1952 - see the book 'History of Man' and also numerous non-confidential audio recordings. This recording, of a "research session" with Mary Sue (his wife) at the e-meter controls and L. Ron Holding the cans, and also guiding the sometimes fumbling Mary Sue, was made around that time.

A cassette of this was floating around the "outside the CofS field" in the mid 1980s. I had a copy and probably still do somewhere.

It's not the "Wall of Fire" or "OT 3." Not even close.

Targs are not "Body Thetans," they are "en-theta beings."

There's even a Targ Rundown (as I recall) in an e-book ('Excalibur Revisited') by Geof Filbert from around 1983.

The recording is, essentially, just sloppy fooling around on the e-meter. Targs seem to be the racist Hubbard's idea of "nigger thetans."
