Well at this point it is pointless speculation...if they went as far as to remove all mention of the child from the parent's biographies (most of them anyway) I doubt we will ever be able to confirm this. Only a few things point to oddities, one, her mother worked in mental health, we don't even need to go into how a clam feels about this, two, how die hard clams feel about medications and handicaps...those are known facts. Knowing those two things makes this story plausible...but unproven.

You will find some families with all autistic children, or one...I know an Aspy man who's son is also an aspy...If Fragile x is linked to some autistic like behaviors perhaps there is a genetic factor in those cases!

The quote implies that Fragile X's symptoms are similar to autism symptoms, so without genetic testing, someone with Fragile X may be misdiagnosed as someone with autism? EDIT: Well, not misdiagnosed, I suppose, but you know what I mean. It might not really be autism, but it's the same symptoms, and IIRC, the current treatment for autism deals with coping and the symptoms, because the cause itself isn't actually known/there is no cure, etc.

HOWEVER from all the reading I've done this evening it appears that Kelly is the die-hard clam...not John...and as such, I am not so hasty to discount reports she ditched a child who would have=FAIL to the cult she revers. Also, it seems that she was "chosen" for John in some fashion, that whole relationship is just...odd..(I mean, considering the lip smacking fun he was having with Jett's nannyboy). Re: Kelly Preston..another disabled son??? I always wondered about the carpet cleaning theory. I have never had my carpet cleaned with a company that used chemical other then soap. I know that there are companys out there that use a dry cleaning type chemical to clean carpets but the majority use a harmless cleaning agent and water. Of course this could be a way to point fingers at someone other then yourself if you did pass the Fragile X thing to your child (or children). This whole story is very sad. When I was in the SO Heber came and talked to the staff after hours a couple of times. One night he announced that John Travolta "had been handled" and everything was now fine. I knew he was pissed off and not doing anything in the cult for a while and I always wondered what it was all about.

It will be interesting to me to see if we can uncover whether she did have a disabled son before Jett not because she gave birth to him and hid him but to see if she did indeed try to stop all medical intervention with this son.

That's how you'll find out if it exists. But other than the OP here I don't see any evidence of a pre-Travolta kid. And certainly she was a star when she supposedly had the first kid, right? Wouldn't the tabloids have mentioned it? So I don't see how Kelly having a kid then could be hidden now. So I say either show some dox that prove some kinda coverup, or this is a dead story.
