Judy Garland had THAT VOICE that made her a legend and a great smile.

I was okay with Katie's performance until I saw Judy's. TBH, I think the choreography in Judy's was far more interesting, and listen to the dynamics! Soft singing, building, soft again... Much more interesting.

I don't blame Katie. But that's just me.

And Judy has very good legs, as well as being sweet and sexy. It never mattered whether she could sing or dance or not. AND she created the original performance. I loathe bad copies of good originals.

    Like Hubbard and Crowley?

Re: "Katie Holmes wows fans" acc. to Daily Mail...

Well, from what I know, Hubbard was a worse copy of a bad original. But he was very good at piling up badliness wherever he found it. He was like a human garbage heap of accumulated evil or like a great red pig rooting around in a midden to find the choice morsels he could use. And out of the garbage grew the poisonous plant known as Scientology which takes all the good things people are capable of and turns them to evil and to profit.

Sorry dear Mod, this rant belongs in another thread; it has nothing to do with Katie Holmes or her legs, which are also bad but not in the same way that Hubbard was bad. And I would have nothing to say about her legs if she did not wave them in my face.

Holmes has been practising her dancing since she finished All My Sons in January. All those trips to the dance studio and this was the result? no dancing, no singing, just a lot of posing and smirking. She is her own worst enemy.

Agreed. There is NO way she was practicing dance for months lmao. I'm guessing she was going to auditing or purif or some other bs classes, NOT dance, no friggin way.
  10. Re: "Katie Holmes wows fans" acc. to Daily Mail...

    Dear Kate,

Ok - so the dance thing didn't go over too well. At least you gave it a try. Don't listen to the millions and millions of critics, and don't let it get you down.

You need to get right back on the horse...but a different horse. Maybe traditional dance just isn't your thing.

I have a suggestion for a different type of dancing that I feel you could be good at - and it could potentially be a good career move for you...

And that is precisely why I was so harsh in my assessment. She was supposed to be at least competent right now, and it looked like an audition for a local community theater.

I've got a [STRIKE]man[/STRIKE]crush on [STRIKE]Obama[/STRIKE] Herro. I watched it, and while it was obviously gay guys doing their damnedest to make her look good while she was lip-syncing, it was fairly predictable shit on a dance show that is typically much better than that. You're right, though. Yes, it was shit, but is it worth getting up at arms about?

What evidence do you have that Katie Holmes' charity is designed to "get Hubbard's tech into the heads of young dancers?" I'm sure everyone would love to see it. Oh I forgot. She's a scientologist which means that she obviously would never do something good, right?

I've found that the celebrity threads tend to generate some of the most hilarious fail and or paranoid comments on WWP. This thread has certainly reinforced that notion.

Again, she's not a dancer. She was there to promote her charity. What were you expecting? A performance on par with the professional dancers on the show?

Who says they're doing it for men?

Nigel Lythgoe to Katie Holmes "haters": "You make me sick" at The Insider

"Katie Holmes performance" on So You Think You Can Dance was pretty much universally derided, but Nigel Lythgoe is hating on all of us haters, threatening to "ban" people from following him on Twitter who didn't like the performance he hyped for a month as being amazing. In his angriest tweet, he wrote, "I'm going to ban all the Katie haters. You make me sick. Your attitude stops 'stars' doing charity work. Understand why she... keep reading »

As much as it sucks having to follow these brain-dead untalented asshole Celebritards it's gotta be done. Big part of Blubtard's plan was to recruit Hollyweirdo's. We gotta cover all our bases.

The cult does no charitable work that does not come back to make them money. The cult encourages their wealthier members to donate to charities. It's good PR. A lot of donations will be made by the faithful and rich with Scientology's name attached to the money.

There's a very good chance that this dance school will employ $cifags. Nigel is dating Priscilla Presley so that's a whole clusterfuck of culties working this "charity".

No. Nothing they do is any good. It's all tainted.

With a few seconds of looking I found that Tom cruise supports jackie chan's charity as well as a charity called stockings with care, and a children's hospice charity.

    That's just one example.

Re: "Katie Holmes wows fans" acc. to Daily Mail...

Right. Scientologists support Scientology. They KSW. Every Scientology charity we know anything about from Woll Smoth's school to TweetyFeet is a certain or probable way of getting Hubbard's tech into the brains of little kiddies, or disaster victims, or greedy dentists, or insecure students, or ignorant peasants or whatever.

Edited to add that Herro's examples prove nothing. The Celebrity Centre does not exist to help aspiring actors: it exists to rope them into the cult and divert them from their careers. The idea of the Cruises sponsoring a program designed to help educate young people WITHOUT ULTERIOR MOTIVES is against my religion and certainly against theirs.

Good. We like it for the same reasons.

Yes, she was there because 'she thinks she can dance'. Given the hype and given that she was supported by a dance coach, choreographer, team of gay men, film crew, producer, cameramen, props department and who knows what else that hubby's money could buy, to produce a high-budget video, we all expected something a LOT better. It wasn't even original. This horrible pastiche is so bad it makes Judy Garland look good, fifty years on. Some of us older ones still remember when KH was a sweet young thing with possible talent.

    But bad legs.

    More logic:

    i) Herro is not a Scientologist
    ii) Herro is bad people

    therefore,

    iii) non-Scientologists are bad people

That is truly amazing, regardless what it's called. THAT chick can dance -- and obviously it helps to be made out of rubber.

As for KH... I just watched her and the original JG routines, both for the first time, and I have to say I don't see what the fuss is about. KH arguably danced moar than JG did in the original routine, and it looked to me like JG was lip synching too. And I don't see what's terrible about KH's legs; they look fine to me.

That's not to say KH's routine was impressive; I'll have forgotten it by breakfast tomorrow. It simply isn't anything noteworthy for any reason. Move along; nothing to be seen here.

    That pole dancer, though... yum.
