Those of you not from here may know that the UK has a bit of a reputation for being rainy. Well we had a bit of a 'drought' recently (a.k.a. 'summer' to you) so Xenu clearly felt the need to make up his quota on Saturday. Right. Over. Manchester. Pic related, it's Occupy Manchester. Anyway, we were on time. Kind of. Sort of. Nearly. But we were greeted with Scientology's new OT powers, the 'Wall of Water'. We found anons huddling under a parasol. We joined them, but on finding out they weren't remotely piratey ('will this do' 'lol no') we sent them off to be corrupted and stuff. Because we'd made the effort - Prof looking like a 'weird goth girl' and Skull wearing some sort of bra. There was after all no point in raiding when most of the public were suffering the effects of the weather. Pic related. But after we assembled a crew and the storm passed we set sail to the org. They were pleased to see us. Our flags were flying high (and low, and in front of my camera and in everyone's faces (especially Eight's)). Plenty of Alestorm, Flogging Molly, far too much Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack and frequent honking accompanied dancing, swordfights, Circus running away from whoever had the other sword, flyering cars and doing general raidy things in a piratey fashion. Dragon's banner being waterproof was pretty useful, and he showed up with some stuff that tastes like rainbows and feels like polystyrene. After I abused my power over the playlist to make people stay in the rain that bit longer people were still in high spirits but definitely ready to head to the tavern. Pic related, it's us. Finding a pub where we could fit, drink grog and be fed was an absolute bloody quest this month, and people had to go to their various pressing engagements. Pic not related. Honest. I have my pictures ready to process... With one slight delay... <techy-shit> I've transferred 200gb+ of raw photos from my old windows HDD to my homeserver so I can edit the pictures on my windows VM instead, except some of the photos corrupted in the copy... so I've written a script that md5sum checks each copied file against the original to see which are corrupted so I can copy them over again. This has taken 2/3 days already (only running when I'm at home and computer is on though) and about 1/2 days off finishing. Until this is sorted I'm not gonna boot up lightroom. </techy-shit>

Raid looks like it was good. Sorry I missed it, still managed to meet most of the newfags though. Also saw Sam Butler on the bus on saturday, I thought scilons gained the power of flight?
