at the moment It looks we'll be 5 Hamburgers, but a lot more are interested so we might hit the 10 marker or even beyond.

So for those who aren't as others and who have no Anon or relative to stay with, we might need some recommendations where they could stay for not that much monies, and without being beaten up for being from nazi-episode land.

Other German cells have interest in coming to london as well, so we might need moar than one place...

If you're after youth-hostel type accommodation, a lot of my friends recommend The Generator. They also do private rooms (from 1 to 6 people), if you don't want to sleep in shared-with-anyone dorms.

Hostels like that in the UK are usually full of travelling backpackers so you won't really stick out much.

Kk guys i have a really good idea i know you all have decided on one but the game "Portal" like the voice and it says about cake.... We could all have pickets saying " The Cake Is A Lie, The Cake Is A Lie."

    Or

Where the game starts taking the mic out of ur character for having no friends!

    That Would Be Epic!

If someone has hosting, a .tk domain can easily be set up for this.

how about http://www.MEGARAID.TK or http://www.RAID.TK ? - I've registered both, now just tell me where to make them redirect, and there we go...

Alright. I have checked various options and I think I am going lone wolf on this.
Still can't decide if I should stay at "the Generator" or "YHA" (colleague says
I should stay at YHA - Holland Park?).

Also I was quite irritated about the Generator being so proud of their
wash basins? They do have showers, don't they?

Also how important is the peak time version of the Travel card?

    Could use moar intel.

    Thank you very much.

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

More "gagging for it" teen pussy at the YHA, but the Generator does have quite a few MILFs who stay there too ;)

I'd go for the YHA personally, as you'll have more selection :)

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

    Thank you very much.

EDIT: Okay St Christophers is the cheapest, but it looks very old fashioned.
Generator seems to be very modern and YHA somewhere in between.
I really don't have a preference so it comes down to location.
Do we have a central rally point or where are the major public transport stations.
    What about Victoria Station?
  17. re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

Nothing old fashioned about St Christophers, additionally it is attached to a handy bar.

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

The Generator for me then :D

Also, their private room prices are mad. I could get a 6 person room for £20 per night, but a 1 person room would cost me £50? Fuck that, I'm getting a six person and I don't care if they think I'm a selfish room hogging c*nt

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

German base construction has begun at:

Generator: 1 trooper in barracks (8-12 dorm beds)
Also another trooper somewhere in the vicinity.

I will arrive late Thursday afternoon, but I would be great if I could hook up with someone
at the earliest convenience on Friday.

Fuck yeah! Dutchfag confirmed, let's show London how we partied at the Steppenwolf!
  23. Anonymous Member

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

I haven't checked, but I'd assume that'd be something like £20 a night for each of the six people in the room. It'd make more sense that way.
  24. Tolp Member

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

    Dutchfags will be there.

    Party hard ect.

Aye, Dutchfags will be there. Or will at least try to.

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

Yes indeedy, Shadow fails reading comprehension. Those prices are per-person - but they're still much better than a centrally-located-and-near-Tube hotel room is ever going to manage.

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

I think that the idea of a pan-European megaraid is fucking awesome, but if I can be brutally honest, the idea of a Silent Presence is a pipe dream - in my opinion, anyway. Having been present at several of the early-to-mid 2008 London raids, and seeing that it was impossible to get Anonymous to be silent for one minute, I'm very pessimistic to say the least at the prospect of arranging a longer silence.
  33. re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

I think we could manage it for at least one play of the Overture..

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

    PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TICKETS: /r/equest halp

    1. Train tickets

    NATIONAL RAIL

Stanstead - London Liverpool Station: back and forth

London Victoria Station - East Grinstead: back and forth

    2. Travel card

    Transport of
    London

    Off-peak / Zones 1-6 for 3 days

    3. Single fare tickets for Thursday and Monday
for the Metro from Liverpool Station to St. Pancras / King's Cross

    =======================================================
Is that safe & sound without wasting money on unnecessary options?

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

IMO you'd be better-served picking up a pre-pay Oyster card (the empty card costs you a £3 deposit) and putting cash on that. It has a price-capping system so you won't pay more than if you'd bought the equivalent travelcard, but it means you might well pay less. Especially because the price of the paper tickets was artificially jacked up a huge amount a while back.
  37. V for Anon Member

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

    Let me get this straight.

I do need separate tickets for National Rail (1.), right?

(2.) I can buy an Oyster Card at Stansted Airport railway station
upon arrival (Thursday 20:00h), I guess there will be a ticket automat
in case the counter is closed?

    Then load it
    (a) with a 3-days travel card and some cash for fares on Thursday + Monday

    (b) or load a certain amount of money and pay as I go. Can I also pay
    National Rail (1.) with that?

I am quite confused now, as my colleague made quite a point about
    booking these in advance?
  38. re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

    1. - Yes. National Rail are different from London underground.

    2. - I'm not entirely certain but I think you can only buy Oyster cards (the card itself, not the top-up) over the counter. You can top up any time from the machines, or even via the intarwebz.

You can use Oyster on the overground trains, but AFAIK, only if you have a pre-paid travelcard on it. Pay-as-you-go isn't accepted on overground (I guess to stop people going through the barriers with only £1 on their card and then taking the train to Liverpool or something). You'll find more info at Home | Transport for London

re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

Alright, thank you too. I have called Transport of London and all I could
    work out was that:

Travel Card are flatrates for a certain period of time and
Oyster Card is prepaid cards on a pay as you go basis.
Which to me still seems incorrect. I think it's more that the Oyster
Card is just a vehicle for tickets/fares including the Travel Card.

Anyway, according ToL I won't have to get either one in advance,
so I will decide it on site.

How certain is East Grinstead and should I buy that ticket in advance
or can it also be bought at the railway station before we board the train?

Oh and where can I find the sekrit 420th CHAValry base in Loldon?
  40. re: July 11 - London England - European Megaraid

^ I'd buy EG ticket at the train station itself, it's about a £10 return.
