July 11 - Chicago, IL- POST GAME REPORT We had a fucking awesome time outside. Instead of rain, it shined with descent weather. People were receptive, we gave away hundreds of leaflets and flyers. Many people came up to us and asked questions and gave support. Epic Photo Guy was given a special appreciation by Anon. Some of us got drenched when we decided to fool around at the water-towers. Oh yeah, and watch for Miscavigeonastick. He made his appearance at our protest. Looking forward to pics!
Re: July 11 - Chicago, IL- POST GAME REPORT ZOMG, Ninetendo 64! Lets see if you can match that Pfizer! First raid that wasn't wet, cold, or both in a very long long time. It felt so good to finally be out in the sun again! National librarians convention insured many librarians were informed about that cult that keeps trying to unload unsolicited books onto them. Good thing they already know what to do. A few pics... In our honor, the city outfitted Millennium Park CTA bus stop in a piratey theme. They did a fine job, all that needed to be added was a quick GF mask, some signage, and a CD player for bumpin those phat beats.... Finally, we've acquired a sponsor that understands cold and delicious treats... Slappy Miscavige was appreciated by all. Librarians take note, supreme ruler is supreme! "Don't bend back the spine!!" Balloons... And bubbles... And puddles, oh my! Oh fuck! The Internet is here... Moar pics can be found at.... Chicago Chanology - July 11, 2009 - a set on Flickr Moar still to be added soon.

Re: July 11 - Chicago, IL- POST GAME REPORT Thanks! Yes, it's known as the "Crown Fountain" and is in Millennium Park, right near where the monthly global raids are usually held. Designed by Jaume Plensa, it consists of a pair of glass brick monolith/fountain/videowall things set up like bookends with a shallow pool in between them. Unlike too many fountains in the world, jumping in and playing around is actually encouraged. Crown Fountain - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's a shoop. I can tell by looking at the pixels...
Re: July 11 - Chicago, IL- POST GAME REPORT Very cool thingy fountain, can you submit images for it? *hint hint*
Re: July 11 - Chicago, IL- POST GAME REPORT Weather was amazing. Sunny and warm, but not hot. New people! Hell yeah. Shenanigans: Loons jumping in fountains Tiny tyrant David Miscavige A large box with Christmas wrapping paper was opened to reveal... a Nintendo 64. It was very anticlimactic, and everyone was like, "..." Various other malarkey that was not cut Weird happenings: Ice cream cone guy wandered through us Bus stop pirate -- apparently an advertisement for a pirate theme at a museum or something Attempted "bro-jacking" defused -- some drunken frat boys took a little too much interest in us. Tons of foot traffic; people were everywhere. I think we may have broken the 1k flier-handout mark again thanks to the awesome work by our flier anons. Props to the people who brought the drinks. Here are a few more pics from Adanon's amazing July '09 set: "I can't believe I got stuck here with this group of rejects..." If you were gay... That'd be okay... (j/k dude, haha)
Re: July 11 - Chicago, IL- POST GAME REPORT Quoted for truth. I think I will stick with fliers next time, too. I had fun with those

Re: July 11 - Chicago, IL- POST GAME REPORT If that ever did happen, you'd instantly be able to tell the Scientologists nearby. They'd be the ones standing in yellow puddles.
