July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

    L. Ron Hubbard Way was closed off for an event, but the sidewalk remained open, or at least one of them. We were able to make clear with the police, that we were allowed to walk on the sidewalk, according to the laws having to do with permits. However, the residents are still angry with the closures. One woman even demanded that they turn down their volume.

Got some really good video coming up, but first some pics:

I guess this lady on the umpteenth floor wasn't invited :(

These three SO kept running out in the middle of the street every time someone wanted to make a left turn into the parking garage, to tell them they had to use the other parking lot. Just because we were there.

Ken Moxon was here pretty much the entire time:

    Love the St Pete's posters.
You never know who might just be curious enough to investigate further.
  5. Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

The device in the tree is a high speed license plate camera, it scans every plate and dumps the number into a database.

    Pretty sophisticated intel gathering there.
  6. Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

I want to start editing and post stills, but the battery is dead on the camera I borrowed and he didnt give me a charger. From what 'Concerned_Citizen' tells me... theres great footage

Seems plausible. We know that they have those elsewhere.

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

You guise OMG OMG, you guys.......

After the main raid, the police were on record denying what the city and all interested permitting departments assured us was our right...to peacefully walk down the sidewalks. No matter how it was pointed out to the Sgt who said we COULD be arrested if we did so, he said he was on orders from his Captain and would not let any of us see the permit which states HE had a right to prevent us from walking down the sidewalk.

His advice to us was to sue the city basically...

So, we have free speech rights if we are wealthy enough to bring a civil case? That doesn't sound right. And we have to wait to get the rights until AFTER the time we wanted to use them.

Much video will be incoming. This was a major mistake by the cult.

Here are some of my photos from today..

About 30 minutes into the raid I took a stroll down the East side of LRH (where we were allowed without argument) and met up with a handler who decided to follow me. I took the opportunity to go ahead and cross the street to the West side which was blocked off. You should have seen the flurry of scientologists chasing after me telling me I wasn't allowed to be there, it was amusing. I calmly explained that i am in fact allowed to be there, and welcomed them to get a police officer to speak to me if they felt the need. They did not.

I walked up the side and just took some photos of what was going on at the event as seen here.

Later I walked around to the back side of PAC and found them with their gate open so I took some pictures there too.

Be prepared next time (what next week?).. be ready to alert the press, and have ready a filing for emergency injunction against traffic enforcement barring use of public space, or even get a resident to claim barred access to residence.

Go the day before and public records request a copy of the permits. (The police don't have to show you shit). Go speak with the city council and show them video of cops position on misusing the permits. Invite a local news crew to come and try to walk down the street. Show them the permit laws ahead of time and how they are being abused.

^^^ Also in some states the county sheriff technically has supreme jurisdiction (it goes back to English law...)

You might be able to invite an LA sheriff to allow you access to roads being illegally barred by LAPD. It is a long shot, but maybe someone wants to approach them informally with this idea.

Hopefully anons will be able to that for the next 2 weekends. But Mark Lowell went out of his way and DID speak to officials and get copies and all that jazz. He put in many many hours with calls and meetings.

A cop on the scene decided to ignore it all.

But the next two weekends will have the same issue. Some anons will be in San Diego for both those weekends though for events that were already planned months ago. SoCal Anons not going to SD...please consider raiding BB again. Plan in IRC or socalanon.com and PMs.

    Some quick thoughts:

-Relyt looked good with the new hair and clean shaved look (see above).

-All of the bicycle security guards are good looking

    -An Hero's sign was epic

-Their music sucked. It sound like that Frank Stallone singing LRH crap.

-Our music was great. A cop told Daile to turn it down at one point (Rock me Amadeus) UNLESS he put Journey on again.

-All the public had to walk RIGHT BY US. They must have been told to walk by talking on cell phones because every one did.

-Marie and BS guy from Tustin were there looking grim. Could be that people from Orange County came up for the event...which seemed to have maybe 3-4 hundred people in attendance.

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

It was good to be back out at a global!

The highlights I think of the man with the boombox started playing "I'm on a boat." in honor of the topic of the event and the scilons told the cops they found the lyrics offensive and asked us to change the song. And what did it get changed to? The theme from Cops.

The other one was when I had a copy of the Clearwater Sun article from 1979 about the Scilons dressed in Nazi uniforms and mentioned to of the guards, Oddo and Jason, why Scientologists would do this?

Jason's exact response: "That looks shoop'd"

They couldn't believe Scientologists would ever do something like that!

Oh I am /r/ a pic of the dude that stepped on my foot last year, holding those awful balloons.
  21. Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

Some asshole hit me with balloons when I was on my way out... I was going to shout "ASSAULT! ASSAULT! But that would require too much energy on my part.

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

This guy was out there with blank friggin' sign, which he used to try and block our signs from view of the public walking into the event. Since he didn't bother to make eye contact with us, we would just hold our signs up over his head for them to see. So made of fail . . .

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

Yes, you see him in my video when I tell him it's not a good idea to block the sidewalks like that... or that may have been another guy, because he was holding one of those "Lightning Bolt from the Blue" signs, or whatever they said.

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

Also, I saw a guy walking in to replace the weekly (or monthly?) ideal org advertisement sign, with an ad for a new one opening up in Mountain View.

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

The cops even asked him to stop blocking walking traffic with it.

There was one officer on Fountain, who came to me, no more than three times asking for me to put someone in charge of always making sure the sideway was clear for traffic, whether anyone was on there or not. Being the none leaderfag that I am, I tried to reassure him it would be settled, without someone specifically in charge.

The second time we talked, I remember Roan came up and kept interpreting our conversation three times and really pissing off this cop, he thought it was appropriate to ask if he was getting paid by Scientology or the LAPD for being there. The officer did the right thing and told him it was none of his damn business. Roan ran away back into the sewers after that, never to be seen again.
  26. Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

It doesn't look like a 20' fire lane was maintained at all times.

Permits allow closing the street to vehicular traffic only.

Sidewalks cannot be blocked, except for short filming periods per Mark's meeting with the LA film folks.

The street closure event is supposed to open to the public. per permit and Scientology invitation.

I'ld like to know why they can film traffic.

OSA is coordination with the handlers.

    Intresting.

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

There were a couple of them. I should have clarified, on the other side, his sign said "bolt from the blue." Everyone kept asking him what that meant, but he wouldn't say boo to us.

We realized that the only reason he had a sign was to try and block ours.
  28. Snake Member

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

    Cause that's what they do.

For the rest of your post, it seemed like everything we wanted within limits of the permit, we got. The Scilons were extremely pissed off we could walk on LRH Way on our own at anytime (When I was there, they never once closed the sideway). On a few occasions told some anons that they would call the cops if they did. (Which they never did, they had no power to do so.)

Re: July 11, Big Blue, Los Angeles

Wow, from 1:43 to 4:25 on that video of Tim makes me shake my head. The way he tries to dismiss the Bunker video is to claim that because you have no first-hand experience of that event, it didn't happen. Top notch logic there. That's like saying because you have no first-hand experience of the Holocaust how do you know it happened.

It's circular logic. That's all they do. They do it to provoke and get a reaction out of the person.

He is one of the creepy Scilons from the APA protest. He wanted to get my picture without my noticing him. And blocked the view of my camera from getting his face while in the caged area. I just checked my footage, he had a badge on it that said CCHR Media Liaison. I call him Eyebrows.

One thing i was wondering was if this event is similar to the event last year at the kodak theater, where magoo got surrounded by the wall of clams.
