If a JW and a scientologist got married would the kids still not make it to college?

  2. No one answered the question. Why did scientology protestors come into this thread? It's off topic discussion and the thread has nothing to do with scientology.

You guys aren't really scared to answer are you? Please say it ain't so.

In my opinion scientology will be around for a long long time if you guys are an indication of their opposition.

Hey, its a thread on a site mostly dedicated to the dismantling of Hubbard's pile of fuck. That someone brings up another pile of fuck makes it fair game, especially if nobody is making sense to start with.
Why did people not even protesting JW start a fucking JW thread on an anti-scilon site?

Derrr, please go take a pee, they're free.

You pulled in the trolling by being insulting while asking for help. I hope you had fun.

The first part of this thread before your arrival was sympathetic to your cause. But you fagged it up and made it basically unreadable for anyone who actually has been hurt by the JWs and wants something useful to read.

    No what I said was:

    1. Present non-moonbat novel concern to Anonymous and ask for help.
    2. Sympathetic anons will read your words and think about them.
    3. Unsympathetic anons will say, "NYPA."
    4. Insult Anonymous for not caring enough about your special problem.
    5. Post useful dox.
    6. Sympathetic anons will read your dox and think about them.
    7. Unsympathetic anons will read but will also troll you a little.
    8. Post a tl;dr rant against Anonymous.
    9. Keep sharing relevant dox.

Translation: go into a den of trolls who are dedicated to a good cause, try to derail trolls from their cause by instigating a personal army request for a completely different cause, ignore helpful pointers to take your cause elsewhere an reissue personal army request, get bent out of shape when your personal army request is responded to appropriately and try to justify it as off-topic discussion, and then continued to re-issue your personal army request.

IOW - you came in here demanding to be trolled, got trolled, trolled yourself while getting trolled, and are still insisting on being trolled some more.

Congratulations, your mission has been accomplished several times over.

Note to all: as guest poster has pointed out, this thread has JW in the title and is in the Off Topic forum.
So fuck off saying the guest(s) is/are in the wrong place. Sheesh.

And by the way, welcome guest. :)

As others have pointed out, in response to postings in this thread trolls came out from their caves, some with valid, if trollish, comments.
Guest, you would be well advised to grow some thicker skin. Hope you stick around to do so.

Also, this anon summarized the scene rather well...

I would suggest looking for a local Grief suport group for you and your mom.
(perhaps one that is more neutral counseling and therapeutic,
or one that may be more aligned with whichever religion that is most personally meaningful for you. )

And the minister you described sounds really creepy. When people are grieving and need support, unfortunately sometimes creepy people take advantage. That man has no business telling you about Satan or whatever fear tactics he is throwing out.

(I'll tell you a little story, years ago close family friends - the mother was in the hospital dying of breast cancer, and a "man of the cloth" came in and actually said terribly frightful "religious" things that were mean and scary. She didn't say anything about it to anyone for awhile. When she finally told her husband, he was so infuriated that the next time the priest came for his visit, he was waiting, and had to restrain himself from punching the priest as he informed him not to ever come back. ever.) And, no suggestion of doing the same.

Here is the problem Pique: This "guest" has been hopping to other threads and posting bullshit/moonbattery in an attempt to troll, derail, sometimes both... Hell the faggot has his own derail thread that's 8 pages deep of shit. What does that say?

That this person has no intent on being anything other than a disruptive idiot who is hiding behind a guest account.

This has been a repeated problem for this guest and has shown little sign in being a useful member or contributor. I sincerely doubt they are interested in anything other than being a nuisance or an idiot with terminal USI who has come here to stroke his e-ego and e-peen.

So far: All they have done is be a very obvious troll who is too chicken shit yellow to register... Maybe the person is a previous member banned for good reason? Either way: Banning would be strongly recommended for this disruptive member.

I've never heard anything one way or another about the Anthem, but if I recall correctly, they don't recite the Pledge because it's worship of a false idol (ie, the flag), and they believe the only thing you should worship is God.
  17.

  18. I was not the guest that started this thread, but I was one that got into a pretty decent discussion about JWs before all the scientologists trolls came in. And no I am not a noob guest that goes into other threads and tries to derail anyone, and I certainly do not have an 8 page thread trying to troll anyone. I have less than 10 posts total and they are all in this thread. I'm not even sure you guys are talking about me, but if you are those are flat out lies you're trollin'.

But I don't see how a thread about JW can have any affect on your thousands of threads about scientology. If ONE anon guest can have that kind of affect on your group then you guys are weak sauce and would never make it anyway. Would really like an answer as to how this one small thread about JWs can count as trolling you scientologists guys at all or how it could derail you in ANY way.

But this goes back to a point I made earlier...I didn't expect a single answer from any of you robots and I didn't get one. It took an ADMIN to finally say 'hey the guest is right, this is OFF TOPIC with the title JW so FUCK OFF --admin's words on the fuck off, not mine' ...but not ONE of you trolls was brave enough to answer any of my questions.

That's sad. You want to take down a multi billion dollar organization like scientology and you can't even maturely handle an off topic thread about JWs? Why did you guys even come in here???? Not one of you has answered that question yet. If you are so anti-scientology ---WHY COME AND POST ON THIS ONE SINGLE THREAD ABOUT JWs IN AN OFF TOPIC AREA OF THE SITE????? I don't expect an answer from a bunch of cowards and I know I won't get one.

This is what I expect seeing as this is what I've gotten so far : 'derrrrrr we hate scientologists derrrr I don't have the brain to understand or answer your question derrrr I have tiny ball courage so I will give derrrrr answer derrrrr you troll derrrrrr' This is all I expect out of you robots and if you look back through this thread this is all I've gotten out of you so far.

You believe that one small thread about JWs can derail your efforts on scientology? And you come into this thread that has nothing to do with your cause? And you don't have the wisdom, intelligence, or courage to face what you are doing? I gotta tell ya....the scientologists are going to crush you guys.

It's sad that it took an admin to even remotely respond to why the hell you guys were coming in here trolling the fuck out of this thread for no reason. I still don't have an answer but at least the admin said 'hey this is off topic about JWs so why don't you fuck off telling the guest he's in the wrong place'. AMEN brotha...or sista....

But you got what you wanted, no one is talking about JWs anymore, just dealing with butt hurt trolls who are mad that they are getting ass raped by scientologists day in and day out and can't understand why they have no chance and are making no impact at all. As a person who is on the outside looking in, and happened to have the misfortune of running in to you people, I can clearly see why they are dominating you. They are steam rolling you poor people because, seeing the way you react to the smallest confrontation, you simply don't have what it takes to go up against them.

Now in your extremely sophisticated and brave way go ahead and call me a troll and avoid everything I have said. It's why scientology owns you guys, but you don't even have the sense just to stop and evaluate how you react and what you are doing. That's why you're going to be their bitches forever. I feel sorry for you guys.

Scientology has never had an affect on me at all. It's a ridiculous cult religion and it is proven even more insane because it's opponents (YOU) are equally as batshit crazy as they are! Like I said you guys are peas in a pod. I wouldn't be able to tell you apart in a crowd. All of you are just a bunch of Tom Cruises jumping on a couch on Oprah.
  19. anonymous612 Member

More accurately, no one gave a shit, because this site has nothing to do with Jehovahs Witnesses.

Well, for starters, there's a couple of pretty decent pornographic threads in the Dome.

If you don't want posts, you shouldn't make forum threads.

If that's all you expected, and we delivered, then why are you bitching so hard?

    Again, this IS our forum...

    Lol, you must be new.

I don't see any admins in this thread.

Hey, you know how you asked why people thought you were a troll? This is probably why.

Then I guess you don't need our help with Jehovah's Witnesses. So, you'd better go on and handle them yourself. I wouldn't want them to do something incredibly evil like ring your doorbell before noon...

Do you know WHY Scientology has never affected you? Do you know WHY you know it's fucking ridiculous?

    Yeah, that was us, sweetheart.

I can live with that. Tom Cruise is fucking hot.

    Dear OP:

I rather like having JW come to my place... Gives me plenty of IRL trolling practice. For example:

What the local JW come to expect when they come around my house. I even put notches on the side of the chair for each time I make them piss themselves.

...and you are asking me to participate in removing the world of my fav past time? Sorry, no.

I've noticed that of all the representatives of the religion industry that have ever approached me or knocked on my door in an attempt to convert me, Jehovah's Witnesses have been the least likely to run away when faced with a challenging debate. The ones I've talked to will at least listen to what you have to say if you stay calm and stick to the facts. Since they seem to be allowed to think for themselves, some of them can at least be reasoned with. A few of them have even promised me that they would go to YouTube and look up this video:

Jehovah's Witness is a sham. Charles taze Russell was a fraud and there are court documents to back it up. For example: Charles claimed to be able to read Greek, but when asked to do so in court he could not. Then admitted he could not read it under oath. As well admit to the court he was never ordained. He sold wheat with "miracle properties" made his money and started a publishing company. It was through this he was able to publish his joke of a "bible." He also preached against divorce and infidelity, yet he was divorced for cheating on his wife. The man was a fraud yet people follow him. JW's control the thinking of there members by having them read out of the watchtower magazine, where they have questions to which they have already supplied the answer for you.
  25. Anonymous Member

Okay, now what part of that forces people to stay in the organization or actually hurts them?

Organized religion lies? OMG THIS IS MAJOR NEWS.
  26. I believe Blackram is hinting that Jehovah's Witnesses are an abusive, dangerous cult. While they are far more benign than the Church of Scientology, I agree. Any organization, be it a church, college football program, or youth program, that protects abusers must be reformed or eliminated for the good of the victims, to prevent future victims, and for the good of society.

Dox or get the fuck out, people. Do none of you understand that concept?
  28. blackram Member

What is the difference? A cult is a cult by definition and therefore is dangerous.
  29. Anonymous Member

You have yet to prove that Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult.
  30. blackram Member

    A. Generally, it is a group that is unorthodox, esoteric, and has a devotion to a person, object, or a set of new ideas.
    i. New Teaching - has a new theology and doctrine.
ii. Only True Teaching - often considers traditional religious systems to be apostate and it alone possesses the complete truth.
iii. Strong Leadership - often an individual or small but powerful leadership group holds control of the group’s teachings and practices.
iv. Asset Acquirement - often requires tithing and/or property transfer to the religious system.
    v. Isolationist - to facilitate control over the members physically, intellectually, financially, and emotionally.
vi. Controlling - exercises control over the members. Sometimes this is through fear, threatening loss of salvation if you leave the group. Sometimes through indoctrination.
vii. Indoctrination - possesses methods to reinforce the cult’s beliefs and standards where opposing views are ridiculed and often misrepresented.
viii. Apocalyptic - to give the members a future focus and philosophical purpose in avoiding the apocalypse or being delivered through it.
ix. Experience - various practices including meditation, repetition of words and/or phrases, and ‘spiritual’ enlightenment with God are used as confirmation of their truth.
    a. Depravation - sleep and food deprivation which weakens the will of the subject.
    b. This is uncommon, though practiced by more severe cults.
    x. Persecution - predictions of being persecuted often combined with claiming any opposing views demonstrated against them as a form of persecution.
    B. Many have non-verifiable belief systems;
    i. For example, they would teach something that cannot be verified.
    a. A space ship behind Hale-Bop comet
    b. Or, that God, an alien, or angel appeared to the leader and gave him a revelation.
    c. The members are seeded angels from another world, etc.
ii. Often, the philosophy makes sense only if you adopt the full set of values and definitions that it teaches.
    a. With this kind of belief, truth becomes unverifiable, internalized, and easily manipulated through the philosophical systems of its inventor.
    C. The Leader of a Cult
    i. Often charismatic and is considered very special for varying reasons:
    a. The cult leader has received special revelation from God.
    b. The cult leader claims to be the incarnation of a deity, angel, or special messenger.
    c. The cult leader claims to be appointed by God for a mission.
    d. The cult leader claims to have special abilities.
ii. The leader is often above reproach and is not to be denied or contradicted.
    D. Cult ethos
    i. Usually seeks to do good works, otherwise no one would join them.
ii. They are usually moral and possess a good standard of ethical teaching.
iii. Many times the Bible is used or additional "scriptures" are penned.
    a. The Bible, when used, is always distorted with private interpretations.
iv. Many Cults recruit Jesus as one of their own and redefine him accordingly.
    E. Cult groups vary greatly.
    i. From the ascetic to the promiscuous.
ii. From esoteric knowledge to very simple teachings.
iii. From the rich and powerful to the poor and weak.

BlackRam, perhaps you're not listening to the anonposter.

We know what a cult is. You might say we're experts.

You have yet to show that JW meets those standards.

Also, here are ICSA's cult standards. Feel free to point out which you feel JW matches, but be prepared to prove it.

The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law.

‪Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.

‪Mind-altering practices (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, and debilitating work routines) are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).

‪The leadership dictates, sometimes in great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date, change jobs, marry—or leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).

‪The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avatar—or the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).

‪The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.

‪The leader is not accountable to any authorities (unlike, for example, teachers, military commanders or ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream religious denominations).

The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).

The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt in order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.

Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.

The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.

The group is preoccupied with making money.

Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities.

Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members.

The most loyal members (the “true believers”) feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave (or even consider leaving) the group.

Think you may have misunderstood. I don't care what your OPINION is. I don't care if you think its a cult or not which is why i said decide for yourself. If you don't think so, it just goes to show that you have an inferior mind and that you know nothing of the cult and its practices. I believe all should be free to worship how they see fit with no outside interference as long as those practices do not violate the laws of the land. I have direct knowledge of a kingdom hall and what goes on inside. Though it shows low level of intelligence to become a member of any cult it is still an individual decision. I should certainly found a hospital for those whose grip upon the world is so tenuous that they can be severely offended by words and phrases and yet remain unoffended by the injustice, violence, and oppression that howls daily about our ears.

Then why are you here soliciting opinions?

So fucking prove it. All I've asked is that you prove any of the claims you have made. You have proven none of them. Show us the slightest, tiniest bit of evidence.

Maybe I've just got actually proven injustices to worry about and don't have time to deal with your rumors.

Now. I will ask AGAIN, because I am far more patient than some people give me credit for.
Which of these characteristics do Jehovah's Witnesses meet? Be specific.

Negative ghostrider. Have solicited zero opinions. Because I care not for ones opinions, but only facts. I am not here to convince you that JW is or is not a cult. If you can't see that it is, then that is on you. Why would I spend my time trying to convince you of anything. The information is out there if you choose to get it.

This is a discussion thread. If you are on it, by definition you are participating in a discussion, which is an exchange of ideas and opinions. If you don't want to be on a discussion thread, there should be a lovely red X in the upper right corner of your screen.

But the fact of the matter is I am *trying* to agree with you here, but you have to meet me halfway. I don't know much about JW. So fucking teach me. What the fuck are you going to do as an activist the first time someone comes up to you on the street and asks you what you're protesting?

In what way is JW a cult? What do they do? What do they forbid? Give me details I can work with here. I can't turn around and tell other people that JW is a cult because some guy on the internet told me so. What policies of theirs do you disagree with?

I can quote, right now, a thousand specific details that make Scientology a cult. I can take them through that checklist I've posted twice now and answer every single thing. What can you do regarding JW?
