Most of Sharron's positions listed there are standard fare among real people disenchanted with government. The Scientology programs, not so much. (Dunno what gives with the alcohol prohibition either; I thought we'd all figured out that that didn't work. Maybe it's a distortion of her position; I'm just going from what's listed ITT.)

There was one BOS meeting last year...don't remember which one but it was kind of early on in Stone's attacks on us. Out of nowhere, Stone starts yawping about "drug use and youth" which made me suspect there would be a big push in Riverside coming, with the cult front groups spearheading a program.

Nothing ever came of it, which was mildly disappointing to me, as I was ready to launch poons to counter it.

Now Jeffie is a lame duck, his sister is off the county gravy train, and there's a new DA in town. Maybe the cult's grip on Riverside is loosening. I do hope so. You can bet Alhadeff or Catherine Fraser will be meeting with the new kid on the block. Hopefully he's more savvy than Stone and Pacheco.

One bloodywell hopes so. It'd be a bit of a pisser if we wound up a with a "out of the frying pan and into the wall of fire" situation with the new DA.

Her campaign apologists have explained elsewhere: she's not really trying to enact a new Prohibition. Her legislative record shows 0 evidence of having voted to ban alcohol. Apparently.

But in her own words it does appear she believes that legalizing marijuana would be a bad idea, and that legalizing alcohol was also a bad idea at the time.

Thanks. That makes a bit more sense, although still leaves her up WTF? Creek without a paddle, where prohibition is concerned. (Yo, Sharron: IT DOESN'T WORK -- and it's the opposite of freedom.)
  16. Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

I thought about that but then decided that I wanted people to see it was Anderson as in the spirit of the original Truman version of that pic.

    P.S. Thanks ObamAnon!

Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

    SIGH.

Some rather depressing news for Californians in there.

    YO.

    Heard of Prop 14?

basically, it eliminates the "primary" system as we know it.

    In the new "Primary",
anyone who wants to run for office, can throw their hat in the ring, and anyone can vote for them irrespective of party.

The top two vote getters go on to the November election.
In the November General elections, there will be at most two candidates for each office, on the ballot. No write-in votes will be permitted.

What it means is: third parties are essentially b& from competing in the "real" election. It means that incumbents and people who start out with shitloads of money (who don't need donations, or fundraising) have...
not an ovewhelming advantage. It means they are the only ones who can play.

This piece of shit just got voted into law, last tuesday.

    yay. :|

Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

That just happened to Washington (state), too. It's the latest "thing". If your state doesn't have it, watch out for it. They* tried to bring it into Oregon too, waving a lot of fairly well-known "centrist"-type politicians in our faces supporting it; we said no (this time).

    * yes, it's Them as usual... always at it

Good article; keeps to the facts and doesn't let personality or partisanry get in the way of exposing the root of the problem.
  29. Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

Bravo, Barbz! That was most delicious to read. Expressed everything I felt about the arrogant and ignorant ass.

It's safe to ssay, he won't forget his little contretemps with Anonymous in a hurry. Neither will Anonymous, eh?
  30. xenubarb Member

Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

    Anonymous does not forgive.
    Anonymous does not forget.
He can expect us whenever he raises his ugly head, and he can bank on that.

I'm glad that the San Diego cell won't have to attend any political rallies to counter Stone's lies.
Some jerkwad posted some stupid question asking why I wasn't attending Stone's events down here.

It's because this was only a primary, and motivation was to collect and distribute facts about Stone that he'd rather keep under wraps. HAW haw!

Had he survived the primary, this campaign would have become srs bzns. As it turns out, sitting on our asses sending out info where it would do the most good was sufficient.
  31. Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

Might be worth trundling along to the next BOS meeting, to welcome Jeff back to his 3rd District duties. I'm sure his appetite for a verbal tussle with Mr Mabee, Julie, Lirra and AO will be undiminished - unless he's already sent a note from his ma.

Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

Expressing your condolences for Jeff Stone's loss to the rest of the board would be funny. They can't win, if he lost he's back to smugify council meetings, if he won california potentially loses.

Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

    Bumping again in epic thread.

    <ignore>
scn is the major reason he lost. In San Diego no body votes for him. But in his home county Riverside, one-third didn't vote for him. I also predict AO will be wearing a "Stone for Senate" T-shirt to the next board meeting. And of course because of scn, he introduced 884, receiving fire from all sorts, including battle proven constitution defender Julie. And of course he proposed to close the road, which could have caused a swing of a thousand or more people using it everyday.

Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

I am wondering what changes may occur now that Stone is no longer COB. Will we see a swing towards normalcy, in that perhaps the cult will learn how it feels to want something and not get it?

Pacheco, that tool, is out, too. There's a new DA in town. And maybe the Board will start emulating Bob Buster and shake off the mysterious hold Jeff Stone had on them. Whatev, it should be interesting.

And I am still snickering about Jeff Stone's epic fail. He said we are cyberterrorists, and worse. He refused to pay any attention to the evidence he was given that his pet "religion" is the actual terrorist here. He dissed anonymous and he lost. I like to think we helped him with that.

  37. Re: Jeff Stone LOSES Republican primary for State Senate

I am confused. Did he or didn't he?...Hope he didn't win...I watched the video of the things he said when he stood before the committee testifying as if he was telling them the truth. I knew it was all bold faced lies! He is a scary person...he cannot even decern when he was being fed a pack of lies and decipher the truth from the propaganda. Scarier still was the fact that he was wlling to say completely false information about Anon and spread the disinformation...and worse yet...try to get legislation passed based on those lies! Hope he doesn't try to run again...otherwise I will warn my 'friends' in the Senate about HIM and tell them the truth about what he is really doing and who's puppet he really is!

In California, it means the top two Democrats get the nod. Republicans will not be able to successfully run for office unless they try to out-liberal the liberals.

The beauty is he's about to be forced out of his seat by term limits anyway. Our good friend Mr. Stone will soon be looking for work in the private sector. Also, I hear his well paid "volunteer" sister resigned.
