Well. I'm going to be there. I've been looking into attending something to show my support. (after all. I've been supporting this sense day 3.. maybe 4.) But I live in Oklahoma, and am happy yet reluctant to report that there isn't a cult of $cientology here. So I will be (along with possibly a few friends) attending at least some of the protests in Kansas City, Mo. If anyone would like to reach me, please send me a private message and I will give you an E-mail to contact me at.

Happy to have you along! Basic stuff that we tend to forget to post:

We meet at the Org at 39th and Main in Kansas City at 11 am usually on the second Saturday, but this month it has been postponed due to extreme weather conditions and we are now aiming for Saturday the 16th. Please continue to check this thread for updates.

Google directions to the Org: 39th and Main Kansas City Mo - Google Maps

Some people can accommodate limited ride shares so let us know if that will be an issue and we'll do our best to work out what we can.

Look at all the newfags, hope all of you can actually show up!

Will do my best. Like I said, I'm coming from Oklahoma, (Central Oklahoma) so it is a bit of a drive. I'm assuming the turnout is fairly limited in numbers? (due to the limited number of responses to this thread)

The drive is about 5 hours long from what I can tell, So I may be a little late, but I know all about the tactics they use, so I will tag a good space some distance away and walk or find a way there. If anyone needs to get in contact with me, feel free to private message me and I'll pass on my E-Mail address (which forwards to my cell)

5-15 protesters gather but you don't need any more than 2 to inform the public.
Sure, moar is better & funner but, besides the lulz, our goal is to inoculate the
public from the cancer that is known as ca$hology. XD

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

When I started protesting in '06, it was often just myself and a friend, and the public response was similar to 60-70 person protests I've attended.

Oh, and I will be there next Saturday, if only to have Never lay their 'hot hands' allll over me. Aw, yeah.

Hello?? i needz info asap so i don't have to bring unecessary items...
  15. never Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

I have several extra masks, all sans foam square (sorry), I'll bring them.

No, KC has been in need of a boombox for a while. I really think we all need to pitch in and buy one that will stay with one of the five that always make it to the protests. Charlie Murphy would be more than happy to have it stay with him too.

I have an extra if you come down to Dallas sometime and still need one (more Dallanon recruiting), but you can order them on Amazon pretty cheap. That's what I did. It came in only 3 days with normal shipping. I was so happy :)

Bring it just in case? Idk.

    Look at all these newfags!

I hope all of you actually show up! You won't have the weather as an excuse this time; it's supposed to be 43 and sunny.

So has anyone done any recent reconnaissance runs? Is there actually a sidewalk for us to stand on or is it buried in 10 foot high piles of snow?
  23. Anonymous Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

    i'll check it out today.
  24. Severan Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

agreed. just in case. The closest I have to a boom box is a small cd player...
  25. never Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

As of last weekend (after it had quit snowing) the sidewalk was clear, but there's about a foot and a half to two feet of snow acting as a barrier between the street and the sidewalk from plows going down the street. Since KC has done so well cleaning up snow this season, I doubt there'll be any change come Saturday, that is, unless it melts.

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

Checked this afternoon, the giant snow drift is melting a bit but it is still there. Hopefully it will melt more or we need to figure out something else (like, go to a different corner ). Although trying to leap over a huge snow drift to pass out flyers to cars might be a wonderful photo opportunity :p

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

if it plays mp3s, that'll be awesome!
  28. MeganonOT8 Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

things I'll be bringing for sure:

    1 megaphone

1 portable music and movie system (so if any of you want to make some informational or lulzy anon DVDs feel free to do so) it plays cd-r and CD-rw pretty sure it reads MP3 players that you can connect to a usb port... also you can just use a reg USB drive w/ tunes on it and it will read it... and two mics :).

1 sound system; woofer and tweekers (well Imma test them righ now see if they work XD)

1 electric generator to plug in the above. in case any of you have a tire w/ low air pressure or need a jump start.

    5 new signs YAY!

Scientology "IS AN ABUSIVE MANIPULATIVE VIOLENT & CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION" Senator Xenophon BTW Ron WAS A CON
    ;

1 body (ME!). My friend was thinking on coming but he's going out to a private party in a very well known Latin club i might go with him but don't intend to get wasted like him; don't wanna wake up all hungover XD AND MISS OUT!
  29. MeganonOT8 Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

Ok so i tested out the sorround sound speakers i have for my pc and apparently they didn't work. if any of you haev extra speakers that can be connected to a COAXIAL Digital Audio Output if no one replies by friday i guess i can go look for some COAXIAL Digital Audio Output Wires maybe that's what my speakers need in order for them to work.

BTW... did you get my PM, Never? or are you like so ignoring me?? JW... (or maybe i forgot to hit send XD rofl)

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

Unless you're talking about something else, those are usually just RCA cables with an orange connector. You can usually use any old RCA cable whether or not it's orange.

Unless you're talking about an orange (or black) 1/8 inch minijack, in which case you can use any old 1/8 inch cable without it being orange (or black)

Are you really bringing a generator? That's nuts dude.

Wouldn't a generator be too loud for it to be useful? Not to mention a pain in the ass to haul around in the ice and snow while mostly blind from wearing a mask.

It's up to you, but we've gone without music before. We can probably just get us a decent battery powered dedicated "Ghetto Blaster" for February if we all bring like $10 and bother to make CDs beforehand this time.

I do like the Mic port idea though; lulz could be had.

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

I guess I am now 100% /b/ XD... jp ... i have been feeling a bit crazy recently but not any MOAR than TOM CRUISE.

Too loud? nah its as loud as the stereo/boombox is... I think you're confusing an electric generator for an AMP. The generator is only to connect two 120V devices of 200w or less.

Pain in the arse? WEll, i might look skinny and all but i use to bench press my own weight! LOL.. not so sure if I still can, but nah.. .its not that heavy, around 15 pounds... the boombox is around 10 pounds XD... I tend to wear bandanas for that reason (not being able to see very well)... but i might start wearing the mask to show our solidarity or unity... Besides I love that movie... i watched it like a million times! XD

Well looks like you're willing to pitch in... that makes three... which should be enough... but since no one replied to Never's suggestion figured no one was going to pitch in.... therefore went out and purchased all of the above ^_^

AN ADDItion to the USB drive thing... it can also read pics, movie, and as said above tunes (MP3s/music/ any format)

I really think that that boombox could be very useful to educate the public... but its way more efficient where there are pedestrians/passer-byes/people walking... XD plazas? DEMO?? are u up for it? i dunno... just me blabering on...

PS. wasn't DEMO moving out of state? if you came back, then welcome back! ^_^

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

XD i see waht you meant now!!!

As in the noise that the generator makes...

Absolutely not. Its a small generator as big as the boombox XD ^_^ It'll probably last for a couple of hours.. idk.. depends on how loud we have the music. I tried it last night w/ the boombox and w/ out the sorround sound speakers and it went for a couple of hours at medium volume level. So yeah. XD
  34. MeganonOT8 Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

well you see here... you might think its an obvious question ( and thats wat your response indicates).. but i didn't want to bring something that is not needed... since I am already bringing a bunch of stuff... I was planning on driving over there since my car has been fixed for several weeks now... but just today some shinanigans occured with it AGAIN. I was going to ask one of yall... but I no wish to bug the same person AGAIN XD. So I guess I'll just take the metro.

So in a way i was asking if the person that said he/she was going to bring a mic with speakers was POSITIVE he was bringing them... anywho see yall there. OVER AND OUT!
  35. never Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

I think a lot of the stuff you're bringing isn't needed. We don't need a MEGA HUGE SOUND SYSTEM, we need a nice, portable boombox/cd player. What Bernie brought a couple of months ago was PERFECT.

I did get your PM, and no, I'm not ignoring you, I just have no clue how to respond. You went from normal moral fag to TOTALLY FUCKING INSANE in like .4 seconds :-P

Really, just bring what's easy for you to bring, you don't need to be overloaded like soulless pointed out, we don't want you getting hit by a car again! We like having you around :-P
  36. MeganonOT8 Member

Re: Jan XX, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - Planning

OH GOD! its not HUGE (4"X6" woofer & two 2"X3" tweeters [i might not end up taking them; don't feel like buying those wires]), boombox is probably as big as Bernie's; so i guess its PERFECT! ^_^ anyhow, I don't mind being overloaded; just that one less item would be GREAT! XD... ROFL on the second part ... LMAO on the third one *stops andsniffs wipes one tear off of eye* oh it was painful; dislocated shoulder is no JOKE! XD... hmmm are you sure about the last one or are you being sarcastic ... LOL JP wouldn't matter anyways... AND if you truly meant the opposite than solo raiding is okay with me. XP

I'm on board for the 16th and will bring my mini boombox as backup. It's designed for iPod, but does have inputs for external devices. Are we having fun yet?

i bet we'll be having moar fun on saturday. :D
