    How to Encrypt your Email and Transfer Files Securely

    This will describe several steps that should help anyone to secure their email a little better.

    1. Write your document using Word, Adobe, or Open Office, many others out there.
    2. Use an encryption tool like PGP.
    3. For added protection for those that can, archive this file into a winzip, 7zip, or ISO.
    4. Find an email client that supports S/MIME, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape Communicator , Mac OS X 10.3: Mail
    5. Send via email..
    6. Using different channels, send to the recipient the password/information he will need to decrypt the file.

    I thought PGP used public key encryption.
