Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! If IAS is "funding a grant," does that mean donations to send VMs and print books are down?
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! They could always take some money from the Sooper Powuh building.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! wow collecting money through the IAS to send people to Haiti? When they aren't allowed to even go? Can anyone say FRAUD? this is very explotable. PLEASE someone do a video!!!! This is outrageous use of a disaster to gather money for something they can't deliver Include the line that says that Scientology is the real hope that Haiti needs.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! There emphasis is still on delivering the tech I see, although they claim to be taking emergency supplies too this time.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! more lies @link Scientology Volunteer Ministers Take the Lead in Haiti Relief Efforts
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Good frikken fail-cakes! I wonder how many people could have been fed/helped if they took the money spent on their blatant PR and just given it to Oxfam etc.. (news this morning on CBC quotes an anonymous UN worker complaining about 'independant organizations' hindering their efforts, hmmmmmmmmmm.) VM and Cultylogists would be getting much better milage taking up collections sent directly to the Red Cross and staying out of the way imo.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Scilon management think: "Oh good! A nice juicy disaster - just in time for the LRH Birthday Event on March 13th! Now we have another excuse to fleece the faithful. And if we can get a bunch of suckers to go to Haiti, we'll stage lots of video shots to make it look like we are everywhere and everyone is accepting us. Then we'll show the video at the March 13th event! The faithful attendees will cheer and cry for joy and give us even more money! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Would love the following questions to be answered by the IAS Where are the medical supplies being kept? What medical supplies are you purchasing? How are the medical supplies going to reach the Haitians? I heard all the buildings were made of asbestos, so are the VM's safe? There is alos a great deal of voilence happening ATM, which is going to get much worse, again are the people you are sending over, are they going to be safe? Vacinations are required and a series of other shots for protection. Are the VM's getting those shots before they leave? Only small planes are being aloud into Haiti, and certain rescue groups according to the news. So if their air fare costs are being paid for to the VMs to go to obvious first stop (due to plane restrictions) of the Dominican Republic, how are they gettting to Haiti? I heard on the news that mostly military are being deployed to handle the crowds and only a few other rescue groups are being allowed in. How do I know my donation will be going to get the VM's all the way to Haiti? Isn't it best under these restrictive circumstances to donate money to the charities already set up, rather than waiting for a grant from the IAS? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- COS is very sneakiy asking for money through the IAS. That way it can not be seen as fraudulent unless members take them to court via class action lawsiit because they felt their donations did NOT go where it was intended. Like the Super Power fiasco.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Actually if you guys have copies of this, forward it to the state attorney general of what ever state it's originating from. Under fraud. They were very aggressive about going after 911 shams and katrina shams. Can't imagine they'd be less aggressive about Haiti.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Are there no debts that the cult will sink to pretend to be the good guys and exploit the gullible IAS members once again?
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! I think you meant to use "depths" there but in the case of anything Scientology, yours fits.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! I'm sure they can go lower and hell they should. If idiots are going to give them money, they should keep taking it. I have no problem with the IAS fleecing its members.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Ever seen a Disaster visit a Disaster ? [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLVdwyjXXMc"]YouTube- Kirstie Alley visited Scientology VMs at Katrina[/nomedia]
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! And here I wasted my time and money by donating $200.00 to The Red Cross Disaster Relief when scientology is sending l ron hubbard materials to people who can use them right NOW!

Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! From CharityNavigator.org Tip #4 on checking out charities (my bold) "Do Some Research Begin by checking to see if the charity contacting you is one of the over 5,000 charities that Charity Navigator rates. Charity Navigator's ratings provide clear, objective, and reliable assessments of the financial health of charities. Givers can be confident that in supporting those charities rated highly by Charity Navigator, they will be supporting organizations that are fiscally responsible and financially healthy. If someone contacts you soliciting a donation for a charity that Charity Navigator does not currently rate you can request a copy of the organization's IRS form 990. Federal law requires nonprofit organizations to provide their last 3 IRS form 990s (tax returns) and their IRS form 1023 (application for tax exemption) within 30 days of your request. (Read our guide for additional tips on how to Evaluate Charities Not Currently Rated by Charity Navigator)" So if someone donates $5 ...
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Haiti earthquake: crowded Port-au-Prince airport closed - Telegraph Good luck with that whole 'getting into Haiti' thing, VMs.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! That report is three days old. The airport is currently operational.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! So that REAL help can be delivered? The arrogance of these fuckers never ceases to amaze.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! They still don't have the stairs to get up to airplanes, a proper air control tower, good routes to get from the airport to the people who need the aid, fuel to refuel planes that show up... not to mention the fact that there's ONE runway operational.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! For limited and extremely prioritized amounts of operational. (LMAO at Hubbard's special miracles.) "Bring Order" has one of those unique Scientology definitions. Yeah, shouting and pointing fingers will fix Haiti in no time! At least IAS says they'll be providing tents and food for themselves rather than having the VM ghouls beg them from the locals. CoS is really desperate for good PR to milk right now.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Is "HCO Bring Order" drilled to every staff member, or just Sea Org? Because I can see epic opportunity to cause chaos in an Org...
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! scientology's biggest problem re Haiti...is that there is no money in Haiti and Hubbard strongly discourages the "rewarding of downstats"
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! HCO Bring order is for all orgs and sea org In Sea Org there is additionaly the Flag Order titled something like "Repel Boarders"
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Right, but the article you linked was about the airport being closed. I'm not disputing that unless you're a pro disaster relief agency or the US military you should stay the fuck out of haiti just that linking a 3 day old now no longer relevant press release is misleading. What state is the IAS incorporated in? California?
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! The Valuable Final Product is high PR stats, which they are desperate for. They can tap members for donations without having to account for where it actually went, and mainly hand out supplies from other people while taking pictures of themselves. Oh, and maybe some Haitians might want to join the Sea Org and come to America. "Lookit me! I'm at Ground Zero and I'm posing with an empty bucket and a spotless yellow shirt!"
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! They gave control of the airport to the United States military so shit gets done The link was on drudge. I think it was the daily telegraph. Find it yourselves. Anyway: VM Mighty Mouse Tech Here we come to save the day!!!! I sincerely hope those miracles they claim come from LRH tech in that email happen You guys know mighty mouse right - old cartoon
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Most US corporations (no exaggeration) are incorporated in Deleware. Deleware has lax regulations on everything from reporting to bookkeeping to taxes. If you watch Colbert, you would have seen the office that is the corporate headquarters of some 2,000 corporations.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! It's complicated. International Association of Scientologists - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Since it's one of CoS's major money pipelines, there's more than the usual amount of obfuscation and shell games.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! They should be a 501.3 c. So while your informed statement might be correct it shouldn't matter to them where they incorporated. Most states require that you have a "presence" in the state you do business in ie registered with the secretary of state to combat the delaware tax avoidance issue. Any ways carry on.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! Geez, one would think that the scienos would want to back up the President and just send cash to Clinton and Bush to fund some highly coordinated assistance for Haiti. Oh, I forgot - no photo ops in that. Guess it's best to give the Pres the bird and just charge in there unilaterally so the Haitians can get some "real" help instead of wog help.
Re: Haiti Relief - Urgent IAS Announcement! I thought it was Ca? check where the class action suit was filed, I thought that's what I remember reading,I may be wrong
