Eat something besides rice and beans, catch up on sleep during the trial, maybe read a newspaper or watch TV while outside of Gold Base.

    It is a win.

there probably won't be exciting defections. there are ways to get out of jury duty, or the cult could send out escorts. and getting disqualified is childs play

it is a win because it forces the cult to connive and lie more to cover up other lies, and because it raises awareness in the local community, judicial community whatever. just more potential evidence down the roads for future Bacas and the DA if any DA ever haz balls

    win fo sho

LOL. Hardly a win when Scilons have to do something that is second nature to them.
  5. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

Lying may be second nature, but you can only juggle so many lies before you eventually drop the ball. They'll fuck up eventually and Anonymous will be there to point and LOL when they do. :)

Do you not see that now anyone called from gold base to jury duty will have free will to choose to do or not do, that itself is a victory for these victims?

Although this sounds like a win, nothing has been really won at the moment. I am a U.S. citizen and never served jury duty in my life and I have been called upon more than once. I always write back that I object to the system because of my anarchist affliction :)

I got so good at ditching jury duty, I think they black listed me by now because I have not received anything in the last three years.

Since they haven't been getting called for so long, I wonder of the folks at Gold will float to the top of the jury pool list??

According to the Riverside Court site Riverside Superior Court - Juror Services you could get called every year:

And just blowing off the call without a valid excuse could result in a fine and/or imprisonment:

    This may get interesting.

If they opted out of a system then no. That's the assumption here, that as US citizens they found a way to opt out of a privilege and right. If they had no idea that this right was being suppressed then yes there is a problem and as individuals they should seek remedies.

I know some people see jury duty as a burden when it's actually a privilege, regardless it's the method of exemption which dictates if your rights are being violated.

This is how the jury will look like when DM is on trial.

Does Cali get it's from voter registration? If so then check the voter registration for gold, then you will know who is eligible to serve on a jury.

Drivers' license or state ID card too, I think.

Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I'm not sure you understood my point.
However one feels about it personally, citizens of California are obligated to perform jury service. It is a mandated duty that must be performed when called. There is no "opt out". Erego, if Scientologists were granted a blanket exemption, as seems to be the case here, discrimination based on religious affiliation has occurred.

Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

Yes, all three. The state also does a poor job of reconciling the three databases. Very small differences in the names (i.e. using middle initial for DL and full middle name for voter registration) results in two entries for the jury pool database, even though it's the same person. Many people in California receive jury summons multiple times within the same calendar year if they are registered to vote and have a state issued DL or ID.
Of course, most people at Gold have no need for a drivers license, so they won't have to worry about it.

This could get interesting if those who go through the incoming mail don't pass a Summons to Jury Duty on to the intended recipient, and try to "handle" it on their own.

No offense, but are you fucking retarded?

Actually they don't get to choose, they're required to serve if selected.
  19. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

Man, oh, man! They try that shit and they'll be digging their own grave complete with a tunnel straight into prison!

Withholding someone's mail or opening someone's mail is a federal offense called "mail fraud" that will land them up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine!

Just on September 2nd, 2010, a Louisville mail carrier was sentenced to 15 months probation for not delivering people's mail.

Yeah...it's serious and they'd be fucking stupid to try it.

Gold Base (scientology hq) now has to choose: keep people on the voting records so they can bribe local politicians with these votes (speculation?) or "convince" them that they don't need to vote or drive anymore, to keep the chances of them leaving to a terribly sad minimum?
  21. DeathHamster Member

Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

They already commit that mail fraud on a daily basis according to ex accounts. All mail gets opened at Gold. The trick is proving that they do it, and then getting the Post Office to lift the tail of the skunk.
  22. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

True, but it's going to be a Hell of a lot harder when it comes to Jury Duty. The court doesn't give a flying fuck about what the Church wants for the person. It wants to deal with the person being called for jury duty specifically.

That sort of tactic of "keep it a secret from the person, then we'll just impersonate that individual" is only going to work for so long now that the courts can smell this skunk from a mile away.

They aren't stupid. They know something's going on with the Church and that they'll try to wiggle their way out of it. I forsee the courts keeping a very, VERY strong thumb on the Church. Any funny business or anything that appears fishy and they'll be on it.

The Church is like a person with really bad B.O.! It doesn't matter how much parfume they use to try to mask the stench, every one can still smell that shit from miles away. If they think they can weazel their way out of this one, then they're living in fantasy...they'll just keep giving the courts and police more and more evidence to back up a reason to get a warrant to search Gold. All they need is probable cause.

Like I said, CoS may be good at lying, but they WILL drop the ball. It's inevitable. You can't keep layering and layering lies without screwing up at some point. Sooner or later, it'll be very hard to keep the lies straight.

    Spoken like a true bigot.
  24. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

I have family who work directly with the government and the police force. You think they don't know about Scientology's schemes? Of course they do!

A judge can not issue a warrant to search a place without probable cause. "Probable" can relate to a general standard of common behavior and customs.

If the CoS is proven to have lied about who it is they're bringing in for jury duty (impersonation fraud), then a court will have probable cause and will be entitled to issue a warrant for further investigation into the Gold facility.
  25. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

On that note, I'd like to point out that perhaps the Church won't get caught! However, all I am saying is that they are playing with fire right now because the eyes of the judicial system are on them. If they do want to try to pull a fast one, then their risk is actually quite high.

I'm very open to other's opinions and I highly doubt that my opinion is the be-all or end-all of it. All I was saying was that what they're doing is high risk for getting caught and that I'm optimistic that an attempt to do this would be noticed.

Lol you don't even know what it was that gave away your bigotry. Expected but still funny. Let go of your hate brah. Scientology isn't worth it. It really isn't that big of a deal.
  27. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

Honey...I've lost friends and family to Scientology. If I want to hate on them, then that's my perogative. Perhaps some people feel stronger about the going ons than others, but we're all on the same side here (I'd hope).

Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

I sure as hell don't want to be on the "side" of someone like you. I prefer not to act out of hate.
  29. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

I don't act out of hate for individuals, darling. I act out of love for those trapped inside the workings of the Co$. For my aunt, cousin and friend who are currently trapped inside the monster.

What I hate is the cruelty and horrid treatment of the Church itself. What I hate is the manipulation of the law for the mistreatment of others.

One might even ponder just who's side you're on if you lack any ability to find hate a cult who tortures, harasses, terrorizes, and even destroys people and their lives? One might even ponder just who's side you're on if the thought of this Church making a mockery of the law doesn't upset you?

    Who's side are you on?

Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

I'm not on anybody's "side." This is entertaining enough but at the end of the day scientoogy just isn't a big deal. Certainly nothing to get emotionally invested in. There's a million more important things in the world that need to be addressed so I'm not going to waste my time getting all caught up in this. I'll stick around to get the cheap laughs, but really I don't give a fuck what happens- I just like watching the retards fight. Now I'll let you return to your misguided bigotry and misplaced sense of justice.

Because someone else doesn't share the passion & zealousness you have when it comes to Scientology, doesn't make them pro-Scientology.

    To each their own.

Didn't you mean to say "WHAT ARE YOUR CRIMES??"
  34. Re: Gold Base jury duty exemption voided

This is true. Trolls will be trolls and I understand that some people find this a source of amusement. That's their choice.

I find great amusement in the idiocy of Scientology because its all in harmless fun, but when it comes to their techniques of terror...I can't find humor in the suffering of people when it truly hurts them. Maybe I'm just too compassionate.

I can laugh at the SAW movies because they're fictional and LOL at the asshattery, but, in the end, the very real pain of innocents is not something I find funny.

Though, I do understand that not all share that view.

This is interesting, from the Riverside County Jury Duty FAQ:

Looks like even if Gold doesn't want someone to serve, they still have to let them go to court with a written request. So the individual gets out the gate, although propably with "minders" in this case. Assuming they ever see the summons.

They already have. Don't forget about the perjury bit there. Some of the GB people may be coming to court for other reasons than being on a jury if what AO said is true.
