We planned all 5 raids to Gold 2-3 days before. If you want Eurofags to come, then give'm an extra 2 weeks. The raid actully should be a flash raid. Announced raids on Gold don't work. Week days are much better. I'll leave you do the rest. I don't want to tell you what to do, but that's what I'll be accused of.

Re: Global Raid on Gold Base Date Remember people, it took about 2-3 months to plan the DC Lincoln Memorial raid. Planning this far in advance will also make sure that people can budget vacation days, plane tickets, hotel bookings, etc. So yes, AO, think about how other people will need to rework their finances and vacation days to make this raid. I'm sure it's also been pointed out that February 10, 2009 is the 1st anniversary of the IRL raid. Some people might be thinking of flying out for that too, where ever that may be.

Re: Global Raid on Gold Base Date If this is going to be a big raid, you gotta give people time to get things organized, save some cash for expenses etc. Please understand that many anons don't have a lot of money or free time, and if they are going to travel across the country to attend you can't expect them to just drop everything and go. Keep doing flashraids, any anons willing and able are free to do it. But this is not a flashraid, it is a major protest with anons coming from interstate. A weekday will rule out anyone with school or work. I'm not sure why you've got this gung-ho attitude, but please understand that the outcome of your last raid was far from ideal. Not everyone can afford to take the same risks you do. At Gold Base, you really are dealing with batshit insane cultists.
Re: Global Raid on Gold Base Date Speaking in terms of our local group here in Hawaii, it would be hard enough maintaining momentum for the monthly raid in February, which I assume will be on the 14th, without there being a huge pilgrimage raid the Thursday of, or even the Saturday before. Really, I'm against any sort of mass gathering for February 10th. If anything, it ought to be a global flash raid at each local org that day, IMHO.

I'm all for planning raids beforehand (and would definately attend them) but there needs to be a global date set months in the future. Any LARGE MULTI-CITY/STATE/COUNTRY operation within Anonymous needs months to plan so people can arrange their schedule. Marcab Invasion, the DC march, hell, even flying Mark, Tory, and Tommy internationally and over to Europe took months to plan. 2 weeks beforehand for europefags? If I was a europefag, there's no way I could get the time off and randomly say "Hey, lets plan a vacation to America in two weeks." If you think anyone is going to drop all their plans and seriously only come out and not try to combine it with different events or a vacation, that's just stupid. Just because some people have no life outside of protesting the cult doesn't mean the rest of us don't. I say we stage a global demonstration at Gold Base on the 10th because it gives people enough time to plan, it's the 1 year anniversary of the start of Chanology, and the signifigance is off the chart. You say that planned raids on Gold Base won't work, yet you gleefully shut down the base by fake raiding them. It's the same fucking result, who cares if they know we're coming? They still shut down the base for a day. "It's not about the time of the raid, it's about sending a message..."

Re: Global Raid on Gold Base Date This is mind-boggling. You have a group of people trying to plan a global protest date and saying "We can't wait too long! We have to do it soon! February/March/etc will be too far away!" Are you kidding? It's a GLOBAL PROTEST DATE. It NEEDS to be planned far away, or else you're not going to have much of a raid at all. Especially since most of these dates you're asking for are just random weekends that aren't during any vacation period. The majority of people who want to attend from far away will have to plan WAY WAY WAY in advance in order to even have a chance of coming and being able to get back home in time. If you really wanted to get a good turnout you'd plan this sometime between February 14th and February 20th, because that's a very common vacation period for many people, and it's far enough away for them to plan. If you think that this is too urgent to plan far in advance, THEN STOP TRYING TO HAVE A GLOBAL PROTEST. You can't have GLOBAL protest and expect people to be able to come from all over the world within a month and a half. And you CERTAINLY don't plan it during the busiest time of the year that the vast majority of people have major plans with their families during. If you must have the protest within the next month, then stop calling it a GLOBAL protest and call it a regional protest and try to get all the people from the surrounding states who can to come...don't think you're god and try to massively flock the whole country to your protest at the last minute.

If you want maximum turnout and maximum anonymity for every one you have to do it at a major city (ie london, NYC, DC, LA, Sydney) no way I'd travel 3000 miles to spend a day in the desert (unless you are providing shrooms then that might sway me). Any ways good luck with this.
Re: Global Raid on Gold Base Date personally i cant make it out because i'm in NY and can barely afford to make it into the city for raids, but i think it should be on a weekend away from major holidays or religious observances. if you really expect people form across the country/world to come, then whoever's planning this needs to think of the best time for the msot amount of people at once, not ask what is the best. i think it's too general of a question to ask the hivemind, because we all have so much different shit going on. think of whats best for a majority, then put it out there. if a handful of people bawww about it, so be it.

Having it late January/early Feb gives us 3 months. That's a long ways away I thought, but it's necessary for planning. But if that's too soon for you guys, speak up louder.
