Not IMHO, it would actually be quite bad to "special case" them when they should be seen equally as much victims as former members. Also we don't want to predict they'll remain a minority on this list if my hunch about what might happen when this goes public is correct.
About 160 entries so far. I have 23 on the way. I guess we'll end up above 200, which would mean we can say "hundreds of documented cases"!
Thought about this a little. When there was a press release for the big list going >1000 it got picked up quite a lot. At that moment the public at large was still afraid of the cult, and there still was the thought that critics of COS were just a small number. And then there was proof that wasn't true! Later milestones in the big list were generally met with "meh" outside of the anti-COS-community. The big list continues to serve its purpose though. There are still people who don't know about it and are really surprised to see it. So it now does its work more in silence. This new list will refute claims by COS that disconnection is voluntary. I don't think it will generate much publicity outside the community. The best we can hope for is a blog post by Tony or a tweet by Leah. Also, compiling a list - however much time we put in it - is not something you will see on a news show. An easy to explain actual disconnection case with an attractive woman (cue name from the list) is commercially much better. All you can hope is they will say "... and this is not the only case" while doing a 2 second screenshot. That would be very nice. My hope for the new list is that, like the big list, it will be used in the background. If it helps to get only one person out of the cult then it will have done its job already. And I, for one, do not even need to know about it. Maybe I'm just wrong though and I will go all Hollywood on all of you. Actually the other day I thought about the alternative of simply renaming this thread to "finding disconnection stories". How about that?

Before I wrote this. I would now prefer in the introductory text somehow to make clear that stories as in situation 2 above are not wanted. (Well, at least not by me. ) I know I said earlier that allowing for situation 2 would be fine with me (although I wasn't planning on doing A-R again), but I have changed my mind. I think it would strengthen the list to only have personal stories (and affidavits); not "unpersonal" stories. Hell, even I have seen Tom Cruise disconnecting from Suri. Thoughts?
