Maybe, but that's very unlikely to be the collection of your average scilon though is it?

Which brings me back to the question of who is getting rid of it? There can't be many people in the world that heavily still into Scientology with the means to have collected that kind of amount over so many years.

    US $3,500,000.00 !!!!!
    Incredibly incredible.
btw how could LRH has had the time to write all this sh*t ?
I understand there are many reprinted books but damn that's a LOT of stuff...

...or is it some kind of illusion ?

When you're coked out of your mind and completely fucking insane (manic depressive comes to mind here) you'd be amazed what people can accomplish.

It's usually insane ramblings only idiots are brain washed culties could read and appreciate.

I don't think that stuff is for sale. It smells like some one is trying to value assets. Loan purposes? Who the fuck knows.

Liekly a higher-up who has kicked the bucket, maybe an inheritence?
"Oh gee, look what Uncle Ronbot willed us, must be worth a forune!" *gag*
Who knows, some [strike]celeb[/strike] victim might want it, or the cult itself just to keep it away from view.
Gotta be at least a couple of hundred bucks worth of recycled paper-pulp there

The auction has been online for months without there being any winning bidders. I suppose its just been re-listed.

Re: Buy LRH library for 3 and a half million

Yup ^^^, someone still trying to unload this worthless pile of roadapples. Really does smell of someone stuck with an estate, suxors to be them I think.

    oi.

Oh, have requested a thread merge from mods already, save yer fingertips if thinking this too :)

Am curious as to the origional source of this collection tho, seems pretty massive, has anyone got info on when (aprox) this collection became available and tried to cross reff. with scilon death around same time?
    Just a curious sortta thingy.

    :)

    It is "or Best Offer"

Someone should offer a dollar! I know it's still too much to pay unless you want to consider it fancy toilet paper!

I'm sure there are plenty of staff or sea ogres that would love to have all that for toilet paper!

Re: Buy LRH library for 3 and a half million

I'm a bit surprized that this poo-pile hasn't been scooped up the the Dwarf himself, or he hasn't bidden one of the bigger cash-cowz to scoop it yet; I mean really nao, just think of all the potentailly damning evidence it must contain! Oooooo, and evun some real Hubbard letters, man, those sigs alone must be worth their weight in, um, TP?

Even if you get it for a dollar the shipping and handling will cost you a fortune.

Maybe DM is not as rich as he used to be, what with all the lawsuits, PR costs, real estate purchases, renovations, lack of courses being purchased etc. etc.

    heh :)

I too would be interested in finding out who's collection this is/was..
  17. Re: Buy LRH library for 3 and a half million

Very true, better to offer a dollar for the lot and then another 10 dollars to haul it to their garbage pickup in their front yard.

That had to come with swords.

    No good without 'em.

    :D

Oh, if somebody gets that mess fer a buck, no shipping involved~ simply cherry pick the most damning origional crap and use that burn-barrel ya brung!

Re: Complete Hubbard library on eBay

My wild guess would be Craig Defan. It's hilarious he's brainwashed enough, still, to think this garbage is worth more than, at best, a couple grand to the most obsessive of critics. It's also pretty hilarious how this clown has put $3.5 million or whatever into buying this garbage, but the picture of the collection includes what must be a $50 at most Office Max chair. What an idiot.

It's probably one of the best collections of Scientology garbage in the world, which makes it worth about 1% of what this bozo is trying to charge for it.

The current incarnation of this crap is at: L. Ron Hubbard - Scientology & Dianetics Library - eBay (item 230397182599 end time Jan-07-10 08:58:30 PST)

My bet is the collection belonged to Steve Fishman.

Did that shit *really* cost 3.5 mil? Or is that just what he's asking for it?

Though I'm surprised Tiny Dave hasn't sent someone to get it... After all, those are all [strike]unsquirreled Tech[/strike] old, non-updated versions, and we can't have any of those floating around...

Gave a neg review 0ct 13 07 to explodingtree: Falsely accuses seller of misleading buyers and then refues to work out issue.

explodingtrees overall positive review to alhbooks: Could be more accurate (damaged accessory), but very efficiant & helpful overall

    item#230169396586

anyway to find out what that item was?

I'm not a registered Ebayer so can't email them.

How many scilon buildings are there in Los Angeles, that would have a complete (out-of-date) library, and might be in need of off-loading it to replace with the new GAT or whatever the fuck just got released?

Or, who would want to go fishing in Lake Ebay for "Serious inquiries only?" I don't think I would want to make an offer, not without putting on some serious protection. No Siree.

"So, if you're going to play the game at all, play it as a game and play it well. Realize fully that if you go into action you'll go into trouble, and go ahead and play the game. And don't worry about whether you're crazy or the environment is crazy. Be perfectly willing to be crazy. In other words, be willing to be crazy as far as the environment is concerned. And that way you'll get something done."

No buying or selling activity since 14 December 2008.

Item details not available for items over 90 days old.

They have had no activity for over a year so have zero feedback - and thus no 'positive reputation' to support them.

As an Ebay user myself, buy from someone with that reputation for an item of that value? Not a chance.

I'm finding several references to "ALHBooks" online with a Dr Adam L Holden named on an Amazon wishlist but I'm not sure they are connected as he appears to be in the UK, and the library is in the US.
