Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action This is great! I was glad to hear that it's California OSHA, not the feds. Federal OSHA is pretty effing toothless. You know, of course, that nothing's going to be done by the cult except to send out some sort of bullshit letter. I'd like to get my hands on that ...
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Untrue. Permanent removal of 'barbs' remains among our top priorities. There is no reason for them to point inward. We welcome the assistance of OShA in this matter.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action To this day I do not understand how this cult has gotten away with this form of false imprisonment of human beings? The cult is not the U.S. penal system. What laws is this cult enforcing, wheres the Judge? Jury? Forced to shovel sewage! Why hasn't anyone nailed the cult for this?
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action This is great news! California OSHA has very strict rules, high fines & penalities. If the inspector wishes, he can continue inspections over set periods for a very long time.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action On Feb. 3, 2010 PICS need to be taken if barbs are still up. If possible PICS of any work possibly being done or not being done.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Awesome work. As per many accounts, including one in Nancy Many's book, the Scientologists like to set the stage when there is an inspection. What would be fun is if OSHA inspectors regularly drop by unannounced.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Members must sign a form agreeing that the RPF and such are "religious practices" or "ecclesiastical justice" or some bullshit like that, to which they voluntarily submit. IANAL, but I think it's still dodgy at best, because there are rights you cannot sign away in a contract, even if you want to.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action From the actual docs instead of AO insane ramblings to the OSHA. Here is what Div of OSH sent to Gold Base: Firstly, this is all on the honor system. Secondly it will take a few hours to address everything but the ultra barrier. It is my believe they can just hand signage that has a warning, or some barrier to keep employees from being able to get close to the fence.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Because no one was speaking up until now. At least not to the proper authorities. OG were happy to winge on about it on ARS and OCMB and leave it at that. Anon gets shit done.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action I have no doubt the cults false imprisonment and US Law has been discussed before & the cult has them sign a contract to cover their ass. And their prisoners are too brainwashed, to get it! But ... I'm just saying...it would seem what the RPF prisoners were forced signed under coercion would not hold up in court.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action In addition to the "OSHA" violations, it looks like it might be wise to report some things to CA "Labor and Industries" (or whatever it is called there) as well--the "overboarding" probably falls under "corporal punishment" which is probably verboten. Also, there are probably specified times to be followed for rest or meal breaks that are being ignored.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action IANAL. The waiver doesn't even "cover their ass." Signing a waiver can't prevent someone from changing their mind, that wouldn't make any sense. The waiver is meaningless, it's rather the threat of disconnection, freeloader debts, perceived lack of better options, no savings, etc. When Scientology ran after Marc Headley, it was illegal to force him to come back, regardless whether he signed a waiver at some point in his past.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action KESQ - Mike Daniels should get this info. Could be a good place for him to start digging.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action How can someone type "hardware missing from doors" and "detention area" in the same sentence regarding a supposed video recording facility and NOT plan on inspecting it?
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Scis will probably comply within the 14 days. OSHA will inspect. Scis will go back to business as usual. OSHA can't just walk in without notice unless there's been a disaster or if there are multiple and consistent complaints. btw there are different laws for open doors. A door doesn't necessarily have to just open. For instance if the door has a maglock on it you can't just open the door, but if the door opens after someone hits the fire alarm then the door is legal. Doors that open onto stairways should have panic bars to allow people egress in case of emergency. Probably will want to keep an eye out at Gold Base and when the put the spikes back up have someone else file a complaint or have more than one person file.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action And yet, they say that they have no plans to inspect. Scilons are free to respond with denials and false reports of correction on everything but the fence, and there's got to be a workaround for that (liek warning signs), since there's razorwire on fences all over California. I'm not fapping until I see this result in something real.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action My reckoning is that they get the response out after 14 days, or on the 14th day. They'll get busted pretty hard.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Yeah, it also says it's up to Scientology to report if the "issues" really exist, so they'll probably just deny. There doen't seem to be any requirement to report what policy/procedure does exist. Where DM and Associates could err is in interpreting that they need only respond to issues they verify as needing remediation as meaning they need not respond at all - which will trigger a suprise inspection. Of course, if they do respond, they could still screw the pooch... They are the Footbullet Gang, after all.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action AO is still an xbox hueg faggot for the fattyanon incident but..... godspeed with this you filthy faggot!!!!
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Ok, if you read more then the fictitious OP.. NOTHING WILL HAPPEN WITH THIS. OSHA is not investigating. Golden Era has time to send a fucking letter back claiming the have or will fix things. The fence can be dealt with by posting signs maybe even staff training or having employees sign a notice they are aware of the danger. This is nothing more then one day to bring it up to safe working conditions. OSHA ignored all the other complaints. The only thing that will work here is if current or recent employees report unsafe working conditions. After like ten more letters they might send an inspector.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action I wonder if it's legal for people to have razor wire around private property in California? People might get hurt if they have to flee the facility during an earthquake or other natural emergency. Maybe OSHA should be looking into that?
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action How is this a win? The OSHA letter states, "The Division does not intend to conduct an inspection of your workplace..." The cult will just follow the same routine it always has... lie and make up a story to appease OSHA. The cult won't lift a finger unless it fears a physical inspection is imminent and, of course, it that was to be the case, the cult would have plenty of advance time to prepare. As to using ultra barrier fencing with spikes lining their property. That won't be removed. If OSHA takes them to task, I assure you they will fight it in the courts.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action It's not a win. OSHA doesn't just walk into a business. OSHA doesn't really have any teeth. They give warnings and schedule when they're going to inspect. About the only time OSHA will just walk into a business or a job with no warning is if there is a disaster. None of the workers inside will ever complain.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action it's a win because the threat is there and the scilons aren't the best with timely responses. If they don't get a timely and accurate response in then they risk an inspection. They have to do the work, prove they did the work and show it or show why it wasn't needed and write a letter back with proof. And then that has to be checked over. Fail that and it's spot check time.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Re-read the letter please. The reference to every tenth, is to every tenth satisfactory reply from employers. This means that even if Scientology (d.b.a. Golden Era Productions) sends a satisfactory answer letter, there is a 10% chance of an inspection anyway. And if it's not satisfactory, the inspection risk is 100% and un-announced - meaning they'd have to be on guard constantly unless they have a mole in DOSH or local law enforcement to tip them off about unannounced inspections. Only one person is needed to tip off DOSH about unsafe working conditions, but of course the more credible and documented, and the more corroborated the better.
Re: OSHA Complaints Spark Action Ya good luck with that. That crazy old bat ain't going nowhere. xD but no srsly, if OSHA decides to do anything about any of this it would be in regards to the locked doors preventing escape in an emergency imo. As stated earlier, the scilons would prolly slide by with safety classes and signs with all that other crap.
