    Dear Network N00B Mods

Would you, pretty please, make sure you're not blocking a TOR exit node when banning IP's? If you need to have someone explain to you why this is fucking retarded -- turn in your mod account.

da5id is aware that banning TOR exit nodes from posting is a bad thing, but unfortunately the drawbacks to allowing TOR nodes to register and post was found to be bigger than the advantages.

I think it might be up to debate though. Maybe we should put those IPs in a special pre-approval group, so that they can post after being confirmed as not being spammers? Is that technically possible?

A captcha like that does have it's advantages. Maybe somebody who only has to answer 2+3 and takes 4 tries to do it shouldn't have an account to begin with.
  10. Re: Dear Network N00B Mods

the problem with captcha is that a large amount of spammers are human beings. On top of that, there are so many captcha-breaking softwares out there. You can even pay ten dollars to have Indian kids break them for you. They're not reliable.

Go on... I'm sure you have an interesting theory about which socks I may or may not have. I'd like to hear it.

If TOR is the extent of your proxy ability, then imo you deserve to have problems signing up to the site.

The fact is that while TOR is a godsend for the net at large, it is a simple point-click-annoy interface for failtrolls out there. Because of that we tend to block many of the nodes.

Don't like it? Fair enough, google a bit about proxies until you figure out another option.
  18. Re: Dear Network N00B Mods

which now reminds admins to add the updated tor exit node block list to the banned ip list...
I have no problem with that LOL

The antiderivative givens -(4/7)sin(7x) + c so yes, the answer is indeed 0.

    Re: Dear Network N00B Mods

You should not need to use TOR here. If you're using TOR here then you're probably someone who is paranoid enough to believe that martians fathered a line of kings who make crystal skulls.

Why anti derivative? Isn't the captcha formula the partial derivate of [...] at x=0? Still gives 0.
