lyrics for Pain by Jimmy Eat World

I don't feel the way I've ever felt,
    I know
I'm gonna smile and not get worried,
    I try but it shows

Anyone can make what I have built,
    And better now
Anyone can find the same white pills
    It takes my pain away

It's a lie, a kiss with open eyes,
    And she's not breathing back
    Anything but bother me
    (It takes my pain away)
Never mind these are hurried times,
    Ho oh oh,
I can't let it bother me

I never thought I'd walk away from you
    I did
But it's a false sense of accomplishment,
    Every time I quit.

Anyone can see my every flaw,
    It isn't hard
Anyone can say they're above this all
    It takes my pain away

It's a lie, a kiss with open eyes
    And she's not breathing back
    Anything but bother me
    (It takes my pain away)
Never mind these are hurried times,
    Ho oh oh,
I can't let it bother me

I can't let it bother me.

    It takes my pain away.

It's a lie, a kiss with open eyes,
    And she's not breathing back
    Anything but bother me
    (It takes my pain away)
Never mind these are hurried times,
    Ho oh oh,
I can't let it bother me

    Takes my pain
    Takes my pain
    Takes my pain away

  9. Morning ken. I see you are a junior member. I am still a guest, don't wanna give my email, so can't contact the forum admin. Can you email the forum admin and ask them to make a separate subforum for the music videos? That'll make them easier to find.

I think too that maybe some of the folks that are looking for straight news videos might be getting frustrated with having to wade thru so many music videos. What do you think?
  10. I don't know

I don't know who the Admin is :|
  11. He is at contact at the bottom of the screen.
  12. Are protests still going on?
  13. ken321 Member

They should still be going on
  14. Tomorrow (Thursday) is the 10th Anniversary of the 1999 student uprising in Iran. There are likely going to be outpourings in the street as there have been every year. The regime is geared up for more ... er... thuggery.

Demonstrations in support of the uprising are planned all over the US and Canada. Gonna be there?
  15. Newsmax 8 July 2009: Opposition Leader Returns to Lead Protests in Iran

Newsmax.com - Opposition Leader Returns to Lead Protests in Iran

...Roozbeh Farahanipour, 37, was jailed for several months in 1999 for his role in the protests and was tortured extensively. But that hasn’t deterred him from going to back to his homeland. “These are momentous times,” he told Newsmax shortly before leaving the U.S. for his secret journey to Iran. “After 10 years, I am fulfilling my dream”...

...The postelection protests of the past several weeks “have already succeeded in crippling half of the regime,” he said. “They can no longer work together, no longer trust each other. Our job is to help cripple the other half as well.”

If Farahanipour can successfully elude Iran’s secret police, Thursday’s protests will be the first time that a political figure who has gone into exile has ever returned to lead a demonstration against the Islamic regime...

...Farahanipour, who founded the Marze Por Gohar (Glorious Frontiers Party) in 1998, wants to see a secular, democratic government emerge from the current turmoil in Iran.

“This Thursday is my demonstration,” he said. “It is not Mousavi’s event. It is the 10th anniversary of the 1999 student uprising”...

...Presidential candidate (and former prime minister) Mir Hossein Mousavi is calling on his supporters to hold protests on Thursday, but has been careful to insist that they show support for the Islamic regime and to limit their protests to calls for a new election.

Farahanipour says the time for any pretense of reforming the regime is over. “People are shouting, ‘Death to the Dictator,'” he said...

...“We believe there are hundreds of thousands of people who have taken part in demonstrations in recent weeks who are not Mousavi supporters,” Farahanipour said...

...Earlier this year, MPG released an explosive report with damning excerpts from classified Iranian government documents showing that the supreme leader had ordered death squads to murder political dissidents more than a decade ago.

See “Iran's Supreme Leader Personally Ordered Death Squads” for more.

  16. Oooo! Im psyched! I hope many people go and make this rally massive!
  17. ken321 Member

They cracked down on the protestors.
    Apparently only 300 people went.
  18. ken321 Member

News: 1000 more protestors defied riot police and Revolutionary Guards to protest!

Good job, thanks for standing up for freedom!
  19. ken321 Member

  20. how long did the protest last?
  21. ken321 Member

Guys - is the protest still going on???
  22. Dunno. Haven't checked my morning news yet. Weekend seemed to be pretty quiet. EU and US gave A-jad September to come to the table. Obama released 5 Iranian prisoners. Now A-jad is offering a proposal to the West.

In any case, I think some more anniversaries are coming up and we will see people on the streets on those days. I am worried about the ex pat student leader who organized this latest protest on Thursday. He returned to Iran and I haven't heard anything further about him.
  23. ken321 Member

We had 5 prisoners? Were the prisoners of war?
  24. Ray Murphy Member

Don't call us - we'll call you - in a couple of weeks when it's all fixed.
  25. They were Iranians captured in Iraq. I am not sure if they were technically POWs. In any asymmetric war, there are no POWs.
  26. ken321 Member

    Oh alright
  27. 5 weeks

Now its reaching 5 weeks of protest
  28. ken321 Member
