Awright... I'm not reading through 20 some odd pages of TL;DR. 8 pages is enough.... Some of us have lives outside Chanology, OG and Enturb, so if some of this has already been said, my apologies. That said....

It appears to me that Enturb is suffering from more than jut butthurt, it's suffering from outright rectal cancer. The actions of some of the mods in this debacle has been deplorable. I'm gonna say some things that may not be popular, but fuck it....

One of the errors most prevalent is the standard "unwarranted self importance" that affects the brains of those in positions in authority and power. Sooner or later, things get stratified. People become aware, painfully so, that they have a kind of "upper hand" when it comes to being able to coerce or force others to see their views and do their bidding. This eventually leads to a type of blindness. This blindness obscures the fact that they began just like any of the rest of us... that they were on the same level and wavelength as the rest of us.

News flash: This is not a crime.

What is a crime, is when they cannot reign in this behavior and assume to hold their heads higher than that of the rank and file. I'm sorry, but that's how it is and no manner of banning or banishing me will ever change the core fact. This is Anonymous. No one greater than the collective.

There are issues that need to be addressed in this. Much of it is the cancer that permeates the whole site.

First, the mods need to be of correct consensus. In important actions, such as that of shutting down the Dome, as few mods as possible should be shut out. We've seen mods who have said that they "weren't there" for any serious decision making. This needs to be avoided at all costs.

Nest, the transparency to members. Mods should go to pains to let people know that they're making a big decision on X subject, so that the collecive can perhaps police itself and see if there's something they can do is warranted. This would give the members a chance, at least, to come to the mods and say they had it sussed and come to an agreement in true collective style.

I'm gonna say it now.. The infraction system is shit and always has been. It's been far too arbitrary and fast and loose. I have the PMs to prove it. Can someone point me to where an official rule against "importing drama/stirring shit" exists? Mods can and do play fast and loose with the system and WILL invoke personal preferences to shut people down and admonish them. This needs to stop. In fact, the ruleset needs to be reduced, refined and stuck to in order to have any chance of working with a herd of cats.

Next... Immediate transparency is needed with decisions made by mod staff. Period. no hiding behind sekrit IRC channels or Mod/Admin posting areas when it comes to something that will affect the rank and file. To do otherwise will engender suspicion and doubt. Not only that, but will result in admin/mods thinking that they are somehow more 1337 than everyone else, and to me, that is NOT what Anonymous is. that is not the hive. It is, in fact, like a "kinder, gentler marblecake". If a huge decision is made, mods need to be on call. NOW. To answer for their actions, quell fears and offer bloody guidance.

The ThunderDome.... it is what it is. No one is safe. What's struck me in what I've seen so far, is that no one has mentioned that the TD has been advertised as a place that, short of namefagging someone, is nigh impossible to get infractions/b& from, but, all the same, people are getting bent over the desk for what they post there.

WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!

A place where people can feel free to vent their spleens. Be their sick fuck inner selves... IS PUNISHED... Can you see how this is wrong?

A) Things have happened to make this site better. Progress was made.
B) Things aren't going to get any more fixed then they are until one of two things happens. Either LE responds, or we get EVERYONE to up and move to another site. LE specifically said he's not responding to anything for a week. I can't say whether his reasons for doing this are what he said they are, or what we may want to assume they are, but that's reality. Unless you want to try and move the whole community, lets move on until LE stops being a cockwipe and answers our questions.

I'm going to repost this since the last thread in which it was posted ended up in the Dome.

King Nerd, that is hardly the case. When did MPB ever say that he doesn't have to be accountable? How about you not attack one of the few people who is trying to set everything right? And in truth, I too have had a hand in instigating the drama of the past few days. The purpose was not mindless trolling. Everything that happened, happened for good reasons.

Issue 1: Poor community management by LE and tamphex.
Issue 2: Use of miserable user hack, which is related to Issue 1.
Issue 3: Marblecake exerting extraordinary influence over Anonymous and Chanology, especially in regards to approaching MPB and "influential Anonymous" (an oxymoron) and trying to win their support.
Issue 4: A lack of understanding among the Old Guard and many newcomers of the essence of this thing called Anonymous.
Issue 5: The continued use of Scientology lingo/tactics/programming by certain members of the Old Guard, when those tactics have proven ineffective at dismantling Scientology in its present form.

All of this that has happened over the past few days isn't over yet just because the Dome has been restored. The closure of the Dome, and the way it was handled, was merely a symptom of a much larger problem among Enturb and Chanology as whole. Cliques and arbitrary power structures are forming, composed of people who act like they are better than the chaotic masses that are Anonymous. Short-sighted power grabbing at the expense of the ideal. The fact of the matter is these cliques are threatening to factionalize this movement.

To be certain, everyone has their role to play in bringing down Scientology. The Old Guard brings experience and knowledge. The Moralists are many of the most active protestors/contributors to the anti-Scientology movement. Goons, channers, YTMND'ers, mundanes, hackers on steroids, soccer moms, grandparents, underage b&, people from every walk of life, and yes, even Dome trolls. Everyone has their part to play. They can all coexist peacefully, IF we communicate and come to a certain understanding.

Out of all of these groups, the trolls seem to be the most misunderstood, because their culture is so radically different from anything that most people have ever experienced. What people will do with total freedom might seem shocking at first, but I defy you to show me how the trolls' overall effect on Chanology has not been positive. In fact, many Domers are the most active members of this site and of Chanology. The Thunderdome is the closest representation of /b/ in Project Chanology. Project Chanology started on /b/. We need a certain agreement that everyone participates in Project Chanology for different reasons, but that all of these reasons are equally valid.

For the real Anonymous, those who understand it and keep its essence alive, Project Chanology is about more than Activism Against Scientology. It's about protecting the Internet, that democratizing influence that preserves our rights and liberties, our freedom of expression, and ensures a future bright with creative thought. It's about the lulz. It's indefinable. It's about whatever you want it to be about. Not what someone else says it is. Not even me.

Tamphex has used the term before and meant his own plug, as in he's sick of all the drama and gone off.

stu was modded because... duh duh duhhh. he offered to help, and we thought he was trustworthy also as someone in his position has a lot of free time on their hands to sit on a forum he was exceptionally useful, he also proved himself repeatedly to be very diplomatic dealing with issues, and quite happy to admit mistakes and make amends.

If the mod/admin forums are readable to all users, then all users reported or discussed have no security/privacy, and every illegal post we legally have to remove ASAP gets highlighted to the world. This is absolutely not plausible.
