It's easy to do an echo article. Most of the information can be mined from the VF article, and ever more important, anything that they're legally nervous about, they can attribute it to VF and cover their butts.

Including the file interview with Jenna Miscavige Hill was a nice addition.

In almost half the states in the U.S., it is actually still a criminal offense, although rarely prosecuted. In most of the others, it remains "illegal" in the sense of being valid grounds for divorce, although alongside other things like "irreconcilable differences" that are not illegal.

After a year’s delay, Mary Sue Hubbard’s house is on the market for $2.5 million

    By Tony Ortega

...After our story came out, we heard that Scientology leader David Miscavige was livid about it, so plans were made to hang onto the house a little longer.

Now, LA Curbed reports, the house has been listed, and for the amount we predicted: $2.5 million. And finally, we get a look inside! Here are some of the photos that accompanied the listing.

Once again, Australian journalists show a much better grasp of Scientology than their American counterparts with a hilarious piece about a wealthy farmer who was giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars to Scientology while his business was going under for not paying taxes. Our readers understand how simple it is to look up things like a Scientologist’s involvement in the church or how much money they’ve donated, if you just know where to look. If only American media cared enough to bother.

The Daily Mail gives the Underground Bunker a nice shout-out as it picks up the story of Mary Sue Hubbard’s house going on sale in Los Angeles.

Also, the Friendly Atheist, Hemant Mehta, does a great job taking apart The Way to Happiness, L. Ron Hubbard’s silly book of ethical truisms.
