I recommend a simple cover that does not scream, "This is a work of fiction."

Hivemind works, and it helps people.

When reporting your own feelings and conclusions, be careful not to prescribe what your readers ought to feel and think.

For example, this is fine: "Mary, Paul, and Joe were addicts who had 'hit bottom.' Whereas this is preachy: "Narconon is a death machine designed to strip away as much money as possible from vulnerable people while outputting either more cogs or lives so ruined they'd pose no threat to the Narconon organization."

They say that objectivity is dead and preachy is somehow more "real" and more emotionally engaging for consumers of modern media. I beg to differ.

Overdose Symptoms
