Database Issue

As some of you know, I've been dumping 990's, and other IRS data, for narCONon, and other Cof$ front groups, and pulling data for analysis. I'm at a point where I'm hitting the upper limits of Open Office's sBase database program.

I don't really want to get into a full blown client/server configuration (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, etc.) for a single workstation operation if I can avoid it. Someone pointed me at SQLite, with an SQLite Expert front end, as a possible workstation level solution. It's supposed to handle databases up to 140 terrabytes, which is way bigger than my SSD's could hold, but more than sufficient for what I'm doing. And it's free, which is a "good thing" from my perspective.

I'm not familiar with SQLite, and wondered if anyone here has used it, and has any comments about it one way or the other?
