I bought mine through Spirit for 7.99,

We need to get some intel on any events that the Dallas Co$ is doing. Showing up at those would definetly have a bigger impact. And does anyone know if the dallas org has ever had those free stress test things.

I thought It mean L ron Hubbard too but its actually the L Rob Hubbard station I think. I got PO'd when I saw it though lol

EDIT: Just did some accidental research. The L R Hubbard Transit Center actually is the Lake Ray Hubbard Transit Center.

I don't suppose there's a chance in hell this'll take place on a Sunday or Monday?

Ah, and good info on that transit station. Would have been a bit embarrassing to protest Lake Ray Hubbard by accident. Still, wish they'd spell out Ray.

    LoL.
    That bedaffled me as well.
At first I was liek WTF LR Hubbard?!
Then I was liek OH YEAH Lake Ray Hubbard...

And alas, these "Raids" have traditionally been on S/Caturdays.
Most all would be far too busy on Mondays and we wouldn't want to go and disrupt a "church"'s Sunday services, now, would we?
  5. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Unfortunately, while DART can get you close, I know from experience that there are no DART stops within about half a mile or so of the church. You might be better off getting into Dallas and riding with someone else. Come to think of it, you'll probably walk about half a mile anyway to make sure the car is safe, so whatever. You have the address.
  6. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Good to know. Last time I went to Spirit was on Halloween to help my roommate find a costume. Couldn't find much, so he went as a pimp. But I digress...

I wholeheartedly agree that we need to crash some parties over there, but they don't do the stress test thing over there. The reason is simple: the location doesn't allow for cars to pull over without turning off the main road. It would be an exercise in futility, which is also known as Epic Fail, and while we know the CoS specializes in this, this would probably be too obvious for them.

But yes, if you get word of any events going on over there, spread the word.

I am not stupid enough to buy them from ebay. I thank you for your advanced criticism though. And TYes, I have bought one. It is the cheap kind, and it is rather comfy.

Meh, I walk half a mile to school and 3 miles to work. It wont even phase me. Well, time to look up DART schedules. I got work scheduled out ahead of time so I will be okay.
  8. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Glad to know I could help. Who's gonna be there with me and my three buddies on the 21st?

    Does DART come into Denton?

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Dude...if theres seriously only going to be 4 people going to this protest...

    KNEAD MOAR PROPAGANDA!

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

4 would be the norm, from my experience.
It's a pretty desolate location and will become even moar so when the cult moves to Las Colinas.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Even with only four I'm a bit jealous I can't attend. Ah well, maybe in April... Can always take a stab at Austin then as well.
  13. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Okay, I have just confirmed that I and three more have a ride with another friend, who may or may not join us, so we're sending 4-5. Don't tell me we're gonna be all alone out there! We see each other every day. I wanna see more Anons out there with us. Who else is going? It's time to take the tally...

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

I still want to go, but the bus ride to Dallas leaves at like 7 am...
  15. shawnonymous Member

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

"Kevin" and I will be there.
If you mean by your post that you would get there early Nereruo
Then let me know and I'll try to be there early as well so you're not alone.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

    *sigh* i hate early mornings..
  17. shawnonymous Member

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

As do I, but it's for the LuLz so I'll endure it if need be.
About what time do you think you'd reach the destination if boarding the bus from wherever the hell you are at 7?
  18. NoScope Member

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

I'll be there but a time estimate would be helpful so i know what time to be there. I plan on leaving sometime before or at three to make it back in time for work.

Also, some info on who's bringing what.
  19. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

We should try to start at or before 10. Nereruo and shawnonymous, let me know what you'll be getting there, and I'll try to have my crew there shortly after. Depending on how early, we might be able to hit a morning rush, and not just a lunch rush.

So right now, we have me +4, NoScope, shawnonymous and "Kevin", and maybe Nereruo. That's 8-9 by my arithmetic (which hasn't always been known for its accuracy...). Not bad, given our record over recent months.
  20. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Does anyone know where there are cheap masks available in Dallas (not online) right now? The other four guys I'm bringing in don't have 'em yet.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

    Is anyone bringing some music?
  22. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

    I wasn't planning on it.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

I only know of one place to get masks in Dallas and that's Costume World on Inwood near the intersection of 635 and the North Dallas Tollway. Their prices have fluctuated in the past from $9 to $24, but the last two times I was there they were $15. The people there know what the masks are for and support our efforts, so maybe you can get a "bulk" discount. They have other masks that are much cheaper, I think as low as $3. You can also just get bandanas... JoAnn craft stores has a wide selection or you can get them at Walmart for a buck.

I might be there... my likelihood of attendance for Saturday has gone from "probably not" to "maybe". If so, I will bring extra signs and one extra mask, as well as a handful of fliers.

I think we should protest on the north side of the street, the same side as the church, like we've done a few times in the past. We're more visible and it's more intimidating to the scilons... I don't think we need to worry about having a "barrier" with these guys.
  24. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Yeah, we're pretty intimidating, haha. And thanks for the advice about the masks.

But this also reminds me, in the case that Sammy is not participating on Saturday, who has signs?

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

I'm making one as we speak. If i can figure out how i'll put up a pick when im done.
  26. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Good thing to know when making signs for this: It's really windy out there! REALLY windy! Make 'em sturdy.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Just joined here, but interested in getting in on this..

Never been to a picket, and actually just recently started doing some research into Scientology and would love to join you guys this weekend.

I have a home in Dallas but I currently go to school in Denton, and can be there Saturday at any time.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Welcome, and hope to see you there. I believe we're meating there at about ten. I would recomend reading the thread for new people so you know what to expect at the protest.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

    Sweet, thanks man.
  30. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Mmm.... Here we are, on the eve of the protest, and my companions finally realized they needed to get masks. Ugh. We got masks, but we still have no signs, though. I don't expect a reply to this before 9am, but I hope somebody else has some signs.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Well, thats just fucking great. My god damn boss called and said I cant have the Saturday out. Son of a fucking bitch. I think hes a Scion in disguise now

    EDIT: Hope he dies. -.-

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

You can't just make your own signs? It's like $3 for a pack of posters and a marker at Walmart.
  33. tex Member

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

I thought we all had signs..except for me of course.

I will gladly help make some signs if we are going to get this thing rolling..
  34. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Well, the problem was this: these guys can be pretty slow, so we didn't even get there until 10:30 when I was rushing them to get there by 10. If we had stopped to get stuff for signs, we wouldn't have been there for another hour, most likely.

It's ok, though. NoScope saved the day on that count. I'm about to write a postgame thread, so I'll link to it once I've got it.

    Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Sounds like you guys had a great time. I will be watching this forum for the next time you guys set something up and will be there with you guys, prepared with signs, mask, etc.
  36. Re: Dallas, TX Feb. protest

Finally got more video up and running. Thanks, NoScope.
