How do you know they don't have a decent place to live? Do you live there?
  2. Anonymous Member

LOL! Busted clam is so busted. It's Thursday and getting along towards 2:00, so they must be in a panic, trying to "handle" all this "entheta" for their stats.
  3. Anonymous Member

    Could be a herro.
  4. Anonymous Member

If it was, he'd say so.
  5. DeathHamster Member

You think that they won't charge their staff for the dry cleaning? That would be out-exchange.

    Six days left....

See the "before" shot of Austin Fullmer ;)
  8. Anonymous Member

OMG. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. And how will he ever improve if he can't accept feedback? Classic Scilon predicament.
  9. Anonymous Member

I'd say it is definitely time to PA the local NIMBYs, if it hasn't been done already.
  10. Anonymous Member

What do you think they would do to them?
  11. Anonymous Member

    Absolutely. Go!
  12. Anonymous Member

    WIN!!! :D
  13. Herro Member

Lol dry cleaning. Keep fuckin that chicken guys.
  14. Anonymous Member

Get over it, already. The Scilons will have their drycleaning equipment in place and being a major contributor to what us Angelinos wake up to every morning.... smog.
Besides, the air quality folks aren't going to give you any consideration because you think Scientology is a cult.
  16. Anonymous Member

    And you know this because?
  17. Anonymous Member

I hear the sound of crickets chirping in the night. :D
  18. Anonymous Member

Oh well. I guess we'll just have to start wearing masks then. :p
  19. Anonymous Member

Do you mean to say you guys already have your dry cleaning equipment in place and have bought off the air quality folks to give you the permit after the fact? Hmmm. I wonder what an inspection from city hall would reveal.
  20. Anonymous Member

This.^^^^^^^ Anybody else notice Herro posting like a fiend in other threads to try to push this one down the page? I call bullshit. There's something in here the scilons don't want known.
  21. Anonymous Member

    herro is roody-poo/nigger
  22. Anonymous Member

    What does that mean?
  23. Anonymous Member

Honey, you're obviously a n00b, so let me school you. It means someone is trying to derail the thread with ad hom attacks. All the more reason we should ask city hall to come and do an inspection.
  24. Anonymous Member

LOL! I live near Big Blue. I think I'll get ready for some lulz, watching some unusual activity in the ghost town as RPFers try to move some dry cleaning equipment in a hurry.
  25. Anonymous Member

:D Take some pictures if you can.
  26. Anonymous Member

Geez. No wonder they have tarps on the fence around that place (4734 Fountain Avenue). They don't want anybody to know what's going on in there, because they're probably doing bootleg dry cleaning.
  27. Anonymous Member

    LOL.
  28. Anonymous Member

I have an idea how to get a bit of confirmation on that. If someone close by could ask the other dry cleaning person (Fernando de Manila, 4849 Fountain Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029 323-664-8886, according to the OP) if he's had a drop-off in business from the local Sea Orgers. If he has, then it's a good bet they're getting their dry cleaning done "elsewhere," and would help build a case for an inspection from city hall.
  29. Anonymous Member

Hm. If this is what's going on, this could be bigger than the so-called "chicken-shit" issue it first appeared to be. If crooked air quality folks are involved, in a place like Los Angeles, heads could roll. Aren't we getting close to an election year?
  30. Anonymous Member

Also post pix if you see any sea ogres suddenly rushing to take their dry cleaning to Fernando's place. :D

mmkay. dry cleaning. Back in the day, I worked for a financial institution that loaned on commercial properties. One of the commercial properties was a shopping center with a dry cleaning business. It happened that this shopping center was located in the watershed of a river and it was discovered that over a period of a decade or so, approximately eight gallons of dry cleaning solvent (yes, I'm still gobsmacked by the apparently tiny amount) had somehow leaked out and had been detected flowing down towards the river. As remediation, the owner of the shopping center (our borrower) had to engage environmental engineers, dig up and remove some dirt behind the building and set up some monitoring sites slightly further away to track the spread of the dry cleaning fluid, which (at least in 1999) was deemed dangerously carcinogenic.

Keep in mind, this was an operation that was not a skeevy, cheap ass cult that would prefer to do nothing.

And that's the point. There's no way to tell if Scientology will follow all the standard and usual procedures for dealing with VOCs...or if they'll just let them run into the local drainage system or whatever. Do you trust these guys to do the right thing? I wouldn't.
  32. Anonymous Member

Wow. The people at city hall and air quality management might be interested in exactly that sort of comment. I think there's still a few days left.

Considering how [sarcasm] eco friendly [/sarcasm] they handle the waste from the Freewinds, I have no doubt they'll take the same approach to their dry cleaning plant if it gets approved.

    Exactly.

    brb. pooning city hall :D
  36. Miranda Member

    Huh?
  37. Anonymous Member

Yeah. I've noticed that when you've struck a nerve in some thread, the scilon trolls try to push that thread down the page so it doesn't get any more attention. That's what was happening with this one. As soon as I pointed it out, it stopped.
  38. Miranda Member

No. But I won't argue with you about it.
  39. Anonymous Member

Not to mention a "PR flap" (gasp). :D
  40. Anonymous Member

Common sense. Which, by your question, you apparently lack.
