Good question. I don't remember seeing anything in all the reports about it being found (just that it was not anywhere in his head).

Also did not find any mention of the results of the gunshot residue test they did (presumably on Kyle's hands, or maybe just hand). Not that I am suspicious that someone else shot him (not really), but still, you'd think if they mention doing the test they would also include the results.

    No bullet.
No autopsy finding of, or other report of, gunshot residue on hand.

    I'm glad you clarified that.
Reminds me of a Woody Allen joke: "How do I keep my youthful good looks? 12 glasses of water a day.....orally."

If I imagine myself trying to kill myself, and the first bullet to the head skims off and just kind of hurts, but I try again because I'm in pain and really want to be done with everything, and that shot also does not kill me, so I'm in even more pain and seemingly farther away from death with every pulse of agony, I am not thinking 'things are finally looking up now that I'm disfigured', I'm thinking 'FUCK YOU OWEN WILSON, I will die trying to kill myself if it's the last thing I do'. Vanity, baby.

    But...

sounds like DM has a hitman and he is the worst hitman ever. DM’s mother-in-law was his first so it was understandably sloppy, but twenty years and probably some righteous blackmailing later, DM is desperate and calls upon his infamous rifleman on the condition that he does not completely fuck up again, which he does, because he is a $citard.

    Dear all,

Kyle Brennan's family has made contact and asked if we would be willing to remove the links to the CWP dox. They've said they realise that (some of) the dox are public documents, but feel that Kyle's autopsy report and graphic details of his death being made so public denies Kyle the "dignity in death" that he deserves.

Obviously, there are arguments for and against.

I have deleted the link in the OP for the moment to allow us to discuss this matter and will PM Pooks.

Oh, and if you are a member on other sites that have links up, or images, would you please crosspost this message. Thanks.

    Please discuss.

Which part of the family? It might influence the discussion.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

I guess the first question is were you able to unquestionably verify it was his family?

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

Yea, was it his mom? Bout the only person we should consider this for.

On the other hand, if the Scilons had given him dignity in life, maybe we wouldn't even have to discuss this.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

I had emailed his Mom. From that account, his brother Scott wrote back. I got his Mom's email address from the dox.

After sending the email to his Mom, I received an initial response from Ken Dandar. This is definitely the family.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

I have no problem with the request, assuming it came from the family.
The autopsy is on pages 6-12 of "PCSO CSI Supp".
I tried, but could not create a pdf without these pages. I guess I only have adobe reader or something.
Seems like this (posting with these pages redacted) would be a solution. (?)

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

In that case, I suggest to accept their request.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

If it as the request of the Mom, I agree. She is taking on Scientology but she is grieving her son and will for the rest of her life. If it gives her some peace of mind...do it.

If it was from the father...SCREW HIM.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

I was thinking along this line too, subby. I got the impression from the wording that it was more than the autopsy report that was of concern.

How about we discuss this on the basis that they would like all the file removed. Once we've got a sense of where people are at, I can ask them if there are any docs that they don't object to being left up. Good idea? Bad idea?

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

Does the whole file give researchers more info to work with to bring down the cult?

    What about the police report?

I haven't read the whole file so I am blindly shooting off my mouth.

Isn't there valid reason to question what happened here and what happened to DM's mother-in-law...and the file helps look at those points?

Just throwing out why it might be important to keep the file.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

I have (fyi) removed the download link on my youtuby, pending resolution....verification is important....and maybe getting that from Ken Dandar might be good (his email is in the pleadings).....its also wise to avoid doing anything to mess up his case....if its more than the autopsy report I would def get confirmation from Dandar as to how to proceed.....
Added: it seems as if we've pretty thorouhly analyzed this anyway.....

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

    Good questions.

Some of the police report(s) (a few pages at least) were written up following attendance on the night. They are the ones that I can imagine may be a source of some particular distress.

As for use by researchers, a couple of initial thoughts. First, we had a spurt of reading and analysis after the docs were first released, which has since died down. Second, a number of us have the files, should they be needed. Third, my hunch, could be wrong, is that if we are to be able to assist it will be regarding Scientology and Denise and Gerry Gentle, rather than the forensic side. Ken Dandar will no doubt have the forensic side covered.

I want to respect the families wishes

But i think they should know that any and all info on the web re: Scientology can result in helping their case when it goes to court

Yeah. On reflection, I can't think of anyone who will fight harder than Kyle's Mom. I'd personally be happy for her to make the judgement call on weighing up the value of publication versus the distress to the family.

I don't understand (and I accept my inability to understand everything) objection to the whole file, but I'm happy to respect it in this case and in these circumstances.

The file will still be available, so really there is no reason not to grant her request.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

My first thought when reading your post is this....what about the "others". The "others" to come. ..the "others" who aren't part of this site..the "others" who may find it useful a year from now...the "other" relatives who may have had this same problem and would find this useful if doing a google search, etc.

It is a balancing act...and well..sort of like the First Amendment issue the press face. When do you suppress the info because it causes consternation to the mother versus making it open to the public for the greater good.

Obviously, you don't want to harm the case in any way. I don't think having the info out there will do that. So it is all about the mother's right to feel dignity for her son versus the need for info that might help the public. A balancing act.

Personally, I think the information should stay up so others may find it helpful now and later as others try to find information down the road...with the exception of removing autopsy photos. You don't need to see Kyle Brennan in death if the mother doesn't want it. Even the autopsy report can provide valuable information because it calls into question what happened......

But then I am a hard hearted bitch ;-)

But I would say this to the mother...Exposing what happened to her son may prevent it from happening to someone else...and there is a certain dignity in that. Lisa Mcpherson's pictures are quite revolting...but they tell the tale in a way that a thousand words could not tell...and there is dignity in that for her.

She was a victim of the cult. So was Kyle. The definition of dignity is as follows:

"The quality or state of being worthy of esteem or respect."

    They were VICTIMS.

Nothing in that file causes them to lose their dignity - not even the autopsy report.

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

rummychick is a mind reader....everything is a balancing act....and I don't believe there's a right or wrong decision on this issue here and now....just a choice, and not an easy one....and one that's ultimately up to the mod(s) I suppose....but that's why they pay you the big bucks...:)

Re: Clearwater PD files on Kyle Brennan's death

As long as you're sure that this is actually his mother making the request, I think that you should remove it. There's really no need to host the info here or link to it here. Delusions of efficacy aside there really isn't a whole lot here that people could do to help that requires having the info hosted. I think the best way to handle it would be to give 24 hour notice that you will be removing it so that those that really want to have a copy can download it and save it. The ethical thing to do in this situation is to respect the wishes of the family.
