"It means to you what it means to you" is fine. That was not my question. Yes, I understand the mechanics of it. What are you trying to accomplish by creating it and positing it here?
  2. Orson Member

Sorry for the double post, but wanted to make it clear I don't see that at all.

Pretty obvious to me, the point is that scilons celebrate hollow and meaningless victories. The idea that stopping sparrow either temporaly or permanently is a big "win" is silly at best. Maybe I over think things though.

oh - so its not a celebration countdown for when sparrow will be free to protest again like it seems, but a count-up celebrating the number of days the cult is winning???

    /facepalm

"I'm a heterosexual man keep that wink to yourself."

fuck i laugh out loud not just lol when i read or hear that

    "keep that wink to yourself"

and of course the tone of voice and inflections convey much of the message

Regardless of whether or not AnonSparrow is shown to be an attempted stalker his publicly available body of work clearly indicates he is also a Scientology protester. The freedom to protest is clearly of substantial value to him as demonstrated by the time, energy and money he has invested in it. The denial of that basic right for such an extended period is, to me, one of the more extraordinary developments of the unfolding legal process. While I believe the U.S. judicial system is one of the best existing today, I am troubled by the ease with which blind accusations are converted into judicially binding penalties.

Beautiful petition is beautiful...now they will have to spend resources to answer it...when there really isn't any answer. Seriously, this is awesomeness and win. Keep it up.

Thanks. Perhaps a countdown to when he will protest again, once we get a firm date, would be less confusing to users here and more inspiring to those in support of Sparrow. Just a thought.

Or even, some sort of "returning soon" shoop. Or "Sparrow Imminent". Don't know, just rattling off ideas now. Thanks for your direct answer. I think I get your point now.

I hope Sparrow sues for court costs, damages etc. Better yet, he should bring up the whole Fair Gaming thing and all the evidence from the exes as to how Scientology tries to crush its critics.

I'm still waiting for the judge to finalize the agreement proffered by Moxon. She is extremely busy (as she mentioned several times in the cases that came before my status hearing on May 13th) but I would have hoped to hear by now.

As soon as she gives the green light I'll be back out there! (I'll be the one across the street.)

I keep refreshing the DC Courts website page but nothing happens. *sigh*

  15. Has anyone tried picketing with blown up copies of that Time cover issue: "Thriving Cult of Greed" article? A giant copy of the cover would draw attention and people would probably want to read a few of the pages from the article. The text pages could either be blown up and posted on signs or photocopies of the article in full could be provided for people to read on site (and even take home if the protesters are particularly fond of using paper up).

Since the article is from Times I'm sure people would give it more weight and step back for a second. The ronbots would go nuts about it too. I'm sure it would drive the osa up the wall. lol

Hey, a shaded spot sounds good in this heatwave!
    counting the days, indeed

I hope the Washington, DC scientology staff haven't heard about what happens to scientologists who perjure themselves and pervert the course of justice, like Jan Eastgate, recently arrested.
Because that kind of entheta just might make them a little stressed out, and then ... oh, you know.

Well said. However I would note two important things. First, much of that duration away from the org was an agreement that sparrow voluntarily made. Secondly, free speech rights are not absolute. The courts have to balance Sparrow's right to free speech against Bellotte's right to be safe and secure. So when they receive the stalking charge and complaint, the courts have to decide whether Sparrow's behavior crossed the line from the exercise of free speech to a criminal infringement upon the rights of Bellotte. And while this is being sorted out yes the courts are going to try and get Sparrow to stop engaging in protesting because the risk of unfairly compelling Sparrow into a period of silence is less severe than the risk of Sparrow causing harm to Bellotte. It's easy for critics who know Sparrow and who know the history of the CoS to recognize that this was likely a load of bullshit, but the courts cannot take that at face value. Does it suck? Yeah. But sometimes what is ultimately in the best interests of justice will produce unfortunate and unavoidable unintended consequences.

However, having said that, if there is evidence that these claims were manufactured to keep Sparrow from protesting, than anyone knowingly involved with making up these claims should be severely punished for taking advantage of the legal system in such a perverse manner.

I wonder if death threats against Sparrow were introduced into evidence for the last or upcoming trial. That would show an attempt to stop him from free speech.

I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think that would be relevant to either case. Sparrow is the defendant and last time I checked "but they did it too!" isn't really recognized as a valid defense within the US criminal justice system. However, if Sparrow or the State were to take action against one or more people at the DC org for trying to intimidate Sparrow into silence, death threats would obviously be extremely relevant.

The point was they will go to any extent to keep him quiet...including filing false stalking charges AND threatening his life.
  22. Herro Member

Oh. Yeah, I can see that.
  23. Diablo Member

    this isn't herro...we agreed.

Just thought I'd highlight this old video again as Sparrow may have to protest outside thier front door atm.

Just want to emphasize here that "but they did it too" would never be Sparrow's defense anyway, since he has in fact NOT engaged in death threats or stalking.

Death threats can be indicatory of the degree to which Sparrow's presence near the Org bothered the church, which in turn can help prove that his entire case was based on made up allegations.

Shouldn't be too hard for him. Judging by his videos, he knows plenty of ladies and is on first name basis with them.

I doubt Sparrow is interested in banging Sea Org hags.
  31. Anonymous Member

I don't know....angry sex might be fun. And those hags are alredy used to him filming them. Kinky!

If he can show a history of hostility towards him and false statements he can introduce it to show that there was a motive to make up lies about him. He can put up any defense he wants but he needs to be able to prove it.

    WHAT?
They have a Narconon in Kazakhstan? Scientology really is trying to take over the world.

Herro, just wanted to give you props. This is an excellent post. Both in how you presented your position and the information itself. Breaking down group think while not coming off as a troll at the same time. Thank you. More like this.
