City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

[Moderator's note: Please note that the City of San Jacinto does not have direct authority over this road, as it is outside city limits, but its opposition to the road closure could put more pressure on Riverside County supervisor Jeff Stone to not do as Scientology instructs him.]

[Mod update: The resolution expressing that the city doesn't want the road closed was approved 5-0. Here's a news report: Council doesn't support closing Gilman Springs Road]

I suggest if anyone is going that they tender this document for the record:

Riverside County Sheriff's Department Police Reports regarding Marc Headley's Escape - Fullscreen

The road needs to remain open to make the journey from Gold Base to somewhere that the public can offer protection as short as possible for anyone trying to escape.

This week in California, a lot of people are trying to understand why Jaycee Dugard didn't escape from her captors earlier, when she had many opportunities to do so, was working in their publishing business (coincidentally) and had contact with the public. Whether it's Stockholm Syndrome or learned helplessness, the fact is that people held captive don't necessarily escape at the first opportunity. But when they do decide to escape, the hurdles they face should be kept to a minimum.

    This interests me.....

Anyone have any info on how it will proceed?

    From the agenda:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, OPPOSING THE CLOSURE OF GILMAN HOT SPRINGS ROAD

Which makes it sound like the City Council is opposed to this. Why is it on the agenda? I think listening to the arguments from the scilons will be interesting

Am I reading it correctly, they are adopting a resolution to oppose closing the road?

Wonder if they post vids of their meetings?

Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

Whereas, Catherine Fraser has promised to the San Jacinto City Council that she did not plan to raise the issue in the near future, the Council have been exposed to enough media & public concern, and alot of history dealing with the cult in the past, they know the score, and they know that neither Catherine Fraser nor Muriel Dufresne have any credibility when it comes to honesty.

I have personally met & spoken to Dale Stubblefied several times in the last year (he recently became Mayor.. was a regular councilman for years) and other members of the council, as have other anons, regarding what really goes on in their backyards.

I assure you... these guys...are not clueless to the antics & the bullshit long perpetrated by Scientology, and I think they want to formally put into the record their opposition to any future moves, covert or overtly, by the cult to close down the highway. And though they don't say it publicly, there's no love lost with the cult.

    Doubtful.
I can't even see where to download the recorded minutes of past meetings. All I can see on the site is an archive of meeting agendas.

Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

Guys you are reading ESMB alarmist post that of course assumes 100% the opposite of reality.

This is not the county supes meeting, but the "SAN JACINTO CITY COUNCIL AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO"

And they are voting to adopt a resolution:
"OPPOSING THE CLOSURE OF GILMAN HOT SPRINGS ROAD"

So, this is the city passing a meaningless resolution that says they oppose closing the road. I'm sure this is 90% in response to residents complain about what they read in the paper.

It could be a pre-emptive act to send a message to Riverside County Supes to not fuck with their traffic... Or maybe the city council got wind of possible real act to close the road.

At any rate, it is probably guaranteed to pass with or without attendance. It is just saying, let's keep this major road open. Duh.
  11. Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

Yeah, I get that, lothar. That's why there's no sense of urgency in this thread, I think. But, it's still an opportunity to negate CoS untruths, if any are to be made tonight, and to expose one or two truths about Gold Base that provide added reason to oppose the closure. And if that led to any comment in the press, that could be a further win.

    That's all.

Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

It would be a good idea to notify local press that the city is meeting to pass some resolution regarding closing Gilman Hot Springs... (sure it is misleading weasel words)

If anyone speaks there, they should really say --

"Why is the city passing a resolution to NOT close a major highway?? Of course they shouldn't close it.. Are you going to vote to NOT turn off the water treatment plant? Does this Scientology compound really have such influence over infrastructure built with tax payer dollars (that they contribute almost nothing to locally)"
  13. Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

Sounds just like a Jim Jones tactic, doesnt it?

Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

The main reason the nonAnons would oppose the closure is how much it will fuck up their comute to and from work/home. Most people won't give a fuck about the cult compound.

Besides, how the hell can they even concider closing the road. Didn't they claim it was due to safety and b/c increased traffic? If it's used that much the smrt thing would be to fix some sidewalks.

If I lived there I'd file that as a suggestion instead.

    ^^^ this ^^^

If anyone goes, and the scilons use their "we're only thinking of the public's safety", be prepared to counter with use of the Gold Tone, sprinkler tech, and lack of sidewalks.

Mention that the scilons can get to the other side by use of the tunnels.

    ^^^ YES!

Don't even talk about who will bring the dox: everyone going just bring them and be prepared to speak about them. Assume everyone will fail but you and DO IT.

We have a police record demonstrating how important this road is in allowing free movement for those who wish to escape from unlawful detention. This road is an integral piece of infrastructure.

All this stuff goes on record and will be relevant to our interests as time goes on.

Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

WTF.. the issue was NEVER about closing the road. The resolution was a token gesture to make it clear the city is against any future plans that Riverside might hatch.

Of course the council is going to pass their own resolution to NOT close a road.

It would be like passing a resolution to NOT demolish a bridge.

And it was 5-0 FOR the resolution. It is semantics, but there was never a for for/against closure. It's not like someone has actually proposed any plans to close Gilman Hotsprings (yet).

Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

The road in question isn't in San Jacinto city limits. Everything across the river is unincorporated Riverside. However, if you check Riverside County Land Information System

It appears the area east of 79 is listed as "San Jacinto sphere of influence" which I think is pretty meaningless. It is outside town boundary. I think it falls under Riverside County Planning Department

This came out of levee improvements
So yes, they tried the city, but they can still get this pushed through the county (doubtful with a Stone election year)

    FRIKKEN' MOST EXCELLENT NEWZ!

    Really it is!

On the whole aspect, the first thing I wondered about was what the hell residents down the road from Gold thought about this proposed closure, liek getting to and from work, emergencies, all the fun stuff.
Scilons are bawwww about safety? Good fucking grief! The biggest safety issue is regarding the poor suckers roped into the cult of sickness and grift. Last thing I read it mentioned 'crossing the road'..... DUH! are they so retarded that driving a car from point A>B is liek a challenging thing? My Dog! If this is the case then none of those people should be on the road at all, liek, use the forking tunnels ya dimbulbs!
(oh, loved the spokesho bawing 'Golf-carts, but they're not a vehicle', wtf are they feeding these poor suckers anyhow?
If the Wee Dwarf (that'd be you David Miscavige you sick and twisted con artist) was really worried about it he'd have spent a couple of bucks and made the fucking tunnels bigger.

As it stands, they silly cvnts want to close the road, well guess what dummies, better make the new road first before you baw baw baw, paved, lighted, etc.etc..

Just when you thought they couldn't be moar duh.

Liek Co$-suckers have been paying any fucking taxes enough anyhow to deserve consideration for shit like this, in my nick they'd've been laughed outta the council as idiots................oh wait..... :D

So Davey, ya sad sack of parasitic cow-plooge, get yer frikken slaves ta make yer tunnels bigger instead of beating them or tossing them in the cess-pool, hell, with all the money you've squirreled ya could have buit a real bridge over the road using a small portion of your ill-gotten gains.

They are so bloody arrogant, this most 'ethical peoples o the planet', it makes me want to hurl.

    *barfffffffff*

Kk, evening derail/blather done, I go nao.

Re: City council votes on closure of Gold Base Road Sept 3

Still, by passing this resolution, token gesture or not, the city of San Jacinto has placed their opposition to the suggested closure of a highway that the citizens of that city make regular use of into the public record. Those who are responsible for making such a decision would be foolish not to take the stated position of neighboring cities into account.

And, it's yet one more epic Staturday fail for the cult.

It appears the plan is to vacate the road with the county, which is overseen by Stone (county transportation chair also??).

If Anons were pro-active, they would make a lulzy campaign video showing Stone talking about Scientology and how he can be bought be special interests EVEN AGAINST an entire city council (mayor & a whole community), to close an entire road at behest of a UFO cult. Fake campaign videos are awesome and it might make Stone think twice about the impact this would have in a state senate race.

Oh joy. Same with some of the Riverside County supervisors' meetings being packed with people who were there to hear about other issues, and get up close and personal experience of CoS stooge Stone and get to view evidence and video about how horrible the CoS is.
