The widow of radio icon Casey Kasem is being sued by the law firm that represented her in the fight to keep him on life support.

Haney & Young LLP filed a breach-of-contract suit against Jean Kasem Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming she owes $50,500 in legal bills.

The firm claims it entered a contract on June 5 with Kasem, who they allege ignored subsequent bills.

City News Service reports Kasem has agreed to arbitration.

The widow of radio icon Casey Kasem has been dumped by a second set of attorneys, the MailOnline can reveal.

According to documents filed with the Superior Court in Pierce County, Washington, Jean Kasem was let go by Seattle based law firm Ryan, Swanson and Cleveland.

The firm was representing Jean in a legal battle over her dead husband’s remains after Casey’s daughter Kerri blocked moves by Jean to have her father cremated.

This comes after another legal group last week dumped Jean and is suing the former actress for not paying their fees.

Casey Kasem is rotting in Norway because of his own flesh and blood -- his daughter -- so claims Casey's widow, who has gone to court so she can put Casey in his place for good.

TMZ first reported, Casey's remains have been stagnating in Oslo for 3 months, and he's been dead for 5. Kerri filed legal docs recently asking for an order allowing her to bring the body of her father back to the U.S. for an autopsy -- something the LAPD wants for its elder abuse probe targeting Jean.

Now Jean has fired back saying Kerri is the obstructionist that is preventing a proper burial.

Problem is, Jean's argument makes no sense. She's fighting Kerri on the one hand, saying Kerri's U.S. lawsuit is BS because our courts can't force Norway to do anything, yet on the other hand she seems to be saying Kerri's lawsuit is preventing Casey's burial. She can't have it both ways.

Kerri thinks Jean is full of it and the reason she's dragging her feet is so the body decays to the point the Coroner won't be able to pin the blame on her for the infection that led to his death.

Kerri also claims that LAPD wants an autopsy. Oh really? If they were serious about it, they would have gotten a hold order right after the death. Jean Kasem could legally have had the body cremated in the month after his death, or now.

Casey Kasem’s daughter Kerri has lost her latest legal attempt to have her father’s body returned to the U.S.

The 36-year-old went to court Thursday to have Kasem removed from an Oslo, Norway mortuary where the radio legend’s wife Jean moved him after his passing.

“Today in court our wonderful attorney, Martha Patterson, tried to get my Dad’s body back to the states for burial. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen today” Kerri posted to her Instagram followers.

“We knew it was a long shot but we had to try! My Dad’s last wishes to be buried at Forest Lawn will be met, it’s just going to take a bit longer.”

82-year-old Kasem died in June but he still has not been laid to rest. Some have speculated that Jean moved him abroad to let his body decay, making it more difficult to officially determine a cause of death.

Kerri is not giving up the battle to return her dad to Los Angeles.

“Good things are happening and we are confident justice will be served.“

The late, legendary DJ Casey Kasem's daughter Kerri Kasem and family members staged a press conference at Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles Friday to urge the Los Angeles Police Department to arrest Mr. Kasem's widow Jean Kasem.

Jean Kasem removed Mr. Kasem, along with his surgically implanted feeding tube, from a Santa Monica hospital on May 7 and took him to the Seattle area, where he died June 15, 2014. Then she took his body to Montreal and Oslo, where it sat in a freezer for months until he was buried in an unmarked grave shortly before Christmas. "If this isn't a case of elder abuse, I don't know what is," said Kerri Kasem attorney Martha Patterson. "It's equivalent to taking a baby out of an incubator."

"[Jean Kasem] took Casey on a five-day odyssey," private investigator Logan Clarke told THR. "They ran out of food, bought a six-pack of Ensure at a drugstore, poured it into the feeding machine, and jammed it -- and they're saying this woman didn't kill him? The nurse in the car took pictures of his colostomy bag full of blood. The cops have all the evidence. Belle Chen at the DA office told me she'd love to have a crack at this case. LAPD should be ashamed."

"Detectives are still actively investigating the elder abuse case," LAPD spokesperson Jane Kim told THR. "They want to be as thorough as possible before a case is presented to the DA's office."

Jean Kasem and Chen did not return THR's requests for comment. Jean Kasem said in June that Mr. Kasem's death is the fault of Kerri Kasem, who took him off life support (because his 2007 health directive said to do so if life support "would result in a mere biological existence, devoid of cognitive function, with no reasonable hope for normal functioning"). "They all have blood on their hands," said Jean Kasem of Kerri Kasem's camp.

Kerri Kasem's camp tells a very different story.

"Jean Kasem deserves to go to jail," Kerri Kasem supporter Jason Patric told THR after the press conference, which was attended by about 45 people. "And if she doesn't go to jail she'll be in a hell she's created for the rest of her life. The police department has to apprehend her. Then the legislature has to make sure this doesn't happen again."
