They're digging in (fortifying) the area .. Moving weapons from inside of vehicles .. For easy access elsewhere, in case the vehicles are fired upon.

Meet The New Leader Of The Oregon Standoff | TPM

With the Oregon standoff's leaders either dead or in custody, a Georgia man has emerged overnight as the new leader of the occupation of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge.

If federal law enforcement had hoped taking out the standoff's leaders while they were away from the refuge would decapitate the movement, the emergence of Jason Patrick as the new leader may not be welcome news. According to the Anti-Defamation League's Mark Pitcavage, Patrick – a sympathizer with the Three Percenter movement – has a history of right-wing extremism.

The Three Percenter movement was born in 2008 and references a questionable stat that just three percent of Americans were active in the Revolutionary War. They aspire to be the modern-day equivalent.

No, Generators back up and running ... They are now doing some live firing practice with silencers attached.....

    Helicopters now buzzing the area
  19. A.O.T.F Member

They have finished building their set fixed positions. Looks as though they have a lot of combined military experience. They're definitely in this for the long haul. It could get really fucking messy.
  20. DeathHamster Member

If only the police had access to military-grade armored vehicles! Or non-violent sonic cannons or something...
  21. Random guy Member

It depends, how long do you think they'll want to stay with the power off and no re-enforcement?

The coppers have nothing to loose by waiting, except money. Luckily, this one is on uncle Sam.
  22. A.O.T.F Member

I wonder if those Motorola walkie talkies they're using are military spec encrypted?

    If only...
  25. A.O.T.F Member

You do remember Waco, right? They (FBI) tried to starve them out. That didn't work either. That was on Uncle Sam too. And look at how they majestically fucked that one up. Stupid fucking gung ho types who just wanted to shoot shit! Jesus! I honestly don't know who's fucking worse. The FBI fuckwits, or the Militia.

The FBI haven't exactly garnered themselves a glowing reputation either. What with their underhanded sneaky fucking ways. Who in their right mind would trust those motherfuckers? SRSLY!
  26. Random guy Member

The FBI managed to actually stand back until they had a chance to arrest the whole leadership in one go, so they clearly have learned something from Waco.

There's another difference: Waco was in spring in Texas. This is winter, in Oregon. And there's no children involved.
  27. A.O.T.F Member

There are women and children at the compound refuge, RG .. You can see it all here. The group of people in this video were on their way to try and get them out.

Through attorney, Ammon Bundy tells remaining occupiers to stand down | KATU

"I'm asking the federal government to allow the people at the refuge to go home without being prosecuted," Bundy said through his attorney Mike Arnold, who stood outside court to read Bundy's statement. "To those remaining at the refuge, I love you. Let us take this fight from here. Please stand down. Please stand down. Go home and hug your families. This fight is ours for now in the courts. Please go home."

Three more refuge occupiers arrested at FBI checkpoints | KTVT

Three of eight people stopped at FBI checkpoints leaving the occupied Malheur National Wildlife Refuge surrendered and were arrested Wednesday while the other five were released, the FBI announced Wednesday night. That brings the total arrest tally to 11 in the nearly month-long occupation.

Early Wednesday morning, the FBI and Oregon State Police established a series of checkpoints at major roads in and out of the refuge, officials said, adding: "In the hours prior to the checkpoints, several vehicles are known to have left the area."

Since the checkpoints were put in place, eight people have left, and three were arrested.

Around 3:30 p.m., the FBI made probable cause arrests of Duane Leo Ehmer, 45, of Irrigon, Oregon, and Dylan Wade Anderson, 34, of Provo, Utah. (Ehmer was known from photos and video of him riding his horse, Hellboy, across the refuge in the early days of the occupation.)

Around 7:40 p.m., agents made a probable cause arrest of Jason S. Patrick, 43, of Bonaire, Georgia.

All were in contact with the FBI, and each chose to turn himself in to agents at a checkpoint outside the refuge. They were arrested without incident.

Each man faces one federal felony count of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation, or threats, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 372. Those are the same charges facing the eight people arrested Wednesday.

"The FBI and our partners continue to work around the clock to empty the refuge of the armed occupiers in the safest way possible," the statement concluded.
