But wait, there’s more. Of course there’s more.

Event organizers were quick to capitalize on the outrage; as we at The Cryptosphere discovered during Sabu Week, hate clicks are at least as valuable as love clicks. Surely the world is not short of people who wouldn’t mind paying $300 to be within tomato-pitching distance of the most infamous man in hacktivism.
Organizer of Suits and Spooks Jeffrey Carr, riding the crest of the notoriety wave, issued an invitation to Sabu-haters in Anonymous: they could buy a ticket (Half price early bird special!) to see the Man Himself, and maybe even ask questions from the audience.

I'll be speaking at the @SuitsandSpooks event on 06/20 at 3PM-EST. If you're in town go check it out. They have some heavy hitters talking.

Just be aware that there will be many FEDS there. WITH CAMERAS. If one is thinking of attending the proposed protest, make sure that you all have the obligatory safety mechanisms set in place. If one has a signal blocking cell phone case. USE IT! ..... NEVER remove your mask. And most importantly, look after one another.

Sounds like they’re looking for publicity. IMO the best way to protest is not to go.

Yeah it sounds like he wouldn't be in cream pie range.

Tough call. You want to make it so unpleasant that others will not hire him to speak, but it will be
a honey pot for the feds. For now the only publicity they are getting is within the community, not
so much the media. I'll be curious to see how this plays out.

Calling on all New York Anons to Heckle Hector

Fuck Sabu the snitch, get out and protest him and support Jeremy Hammond!
On June 20, 2015, the tech conference "Suits and Spooks" will be holding a discussion with none other than infamous snitch Sabu as their guest speaker. We want everyone to come out in solidarity with not only Jeremy, but the other members of LulzSec who were persecuted because of Sabu's betrayal.

Bring signs, noisemakers, and banners - we will hold a gathering outside of SOHO House to remind the attendees of those who are still suffering while Sabu profits from his cowardly actions.

Sabu's panel is at 3 PM. We will meet outside the hotel at around 2 PM.

79 Crosby St, New York, NY 10012

No room for snitches and informants! We do not forget Jeremy Hammond!

It would make things really difficult for the feds if we could get 500 Anons there. A few thousand would send a really strong message. Hoping for the latter.

Break a cop car window = $500k bail that you can't afford. Kill 9 people = Get a sweet Kevlar vest, police escort and $1 million bail paid.

Suits, Spooks and Sexual Predators; What Sabu Really Got Up To With The FBI

Thousands of articles have been written about notorious FBI snitch ‘Sabu’. Universally it is accepted that his deceptions led to the downfall of the hacker group Lulzsec, that he was the protagonist in a host of resulting arrests and a primary reason Jeremy Hammond is now serving a decade in prison after accepting a non-cooperating plea deal to one count under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).
As revealed by Hammond himself, Sabu was much more than a witness. He was an instigator. A recruiter. Mastermind. And, according to the official story, a turncoat.

According to Sabu’s sentencing document, he was a prize asset that worked long nights in pursuit of Anonymous members. Went above and beyond the call of duty in his perseverance.
His long and late hours are something I can personally attest to. More, I can tell you that the activities he undertook in his deceptions went way beyond the bounds of the traditional mandates of law enforcement.

I’ve often wondered if Sabu’s sentencing judge knows what he and his FBI handlers really got up to. I can only assume that the FBI failed to mention it in their letter of recommendation of leniency. Certainly nowhere in the judge’s sentencing notes does it mention that Sabu is more than just a liar. More than a vile betrayer of trust. Like many other independently documented cases involving undercover operatives in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and elsewhere, Sabu is not only a snitch. He is a sexual predator.

#Anonymous vs #Sabu: Protest and Tweetstorm Coming to Suits and Spooks NYC

    By raincoaster on June 19, 2015 • ( 0 )

    banksy-rat-nyc-no-such-thing-as-good-publicity.jpg

We all know kittens love rats! This Saturday at 3pm we will all find out just how much, when Hector Xavier Monsegur aka Sabu, the most hated man in the world of hacktivism, takes the stage at the Suits and Spooks conference for his talk on Anonymous Operations from the inside. By special invitation, he will be joined by Rustle League members VizFoSho and Shm00p, but not by their colleague AsshurtMcFags.

Every. Single. Item. in that paragraph is the centre of its own supernova of controversy.
First of all, Sabu’s continued existence outside of the prison system is an irritant to Anonymous and, more broadly, to the entire world of hacktivism.

As lawyer Jay Leiderman noted in The Sabu Effect, his interview with the Cryptosphere (no relation to the hapless dead marketing Twitter account), Sabu’s betrayals of his Lulzsec and AntiSec colleagues did to hacktivism roughly what Watergate did to faith in the American political system. The point was reiterated, complete with chatlogs, in Gabriella Coleman’s book Hacker, Hoaxer, Whistleblower, Spy: The Many Faces of Anonymous ir?t=raincoast-20&l=ur2&o=1.gif , Chapter 11 of which (“The Sabutage”) details the discovery of Sabu’s collaboration with the FBI, and its attendant fallout throughout the collective and their allies.

Although it was originally used in a completely different context - I do believe the words below sum this entire situation up beautifully.
