Durr, some (alleged) islamic scholars supposedly signed a note saying TWTH isn't a religious document and seems like okay stuff. Which is true. It's a bunch of uncontroversial platitudes.

They're always pulling this crap for propaganda purposes, show some un-initiated 'authority figure' some totally uncontroversial thing and ask them to approve of it, and then play that as some kind of blanket approval of Scientology.

Which raises the question: Why the fuck are you playing Scientology's game? Why is this being called this an 'approval of Scientology' when it isn't? - which is the whole reason they got them to sign off on it. Nobody would approve of Scientology if they knew the full story.
