BlownForGood's site attacked?

I'm pretty sure BlownForGood had an active website up a while ago (www.blownforgood.com).

The email addy he's giving out for exes to contact him (re the legal action) is certainly at the site (lordxenu@blownforgood.com). So I was surprised to see that the site is coming back with a 403 Forbidden server error(?)

Now I fail at internets, so can't really say what's up, it's possible that for whatever reason he's decided to make the content inaccessible: I'm not getting anything from Coral CDN:

or the Google cache:

cache:http://www.blownforgood.com/ - Google Search

so this may be the case. That said, with the significance of the lawsuit he's just launched, I thought it was worth posting about, in case it's a mistake on his part and he's not aware, or more importantly should the site (and email(?)) have been compromised. [Moar ammunition to help document the fairgaming/harrassment being subjected to, but REALLY IMPORTANT IF HIS EMAIL HAS ALSO BEEN COMPROMISED: ex's looking to be involved in the case are contacting him through this address]

Either way, pretty sure someone with more skillz than me, can identify what's up...

It's only been up since September. Nothing makes the wayback machine for 6 months.

Hopefully just a malformed container issue.

It's been 403 Forbidden since at least January 1st. (Perhaps longer, but that's the last time Tentacle checked the site.) Same IP address (72.167.131.113) since at least 9/11/2008.

Wayback may eventually have it. There's at least a six month delay before their scans show up in the results.

given the profile of this suit, I'd think it would be a REALLY GOOD IDEA to not have the mail server and web server be on the same box/same network.

If you had to pick one or the other, I'd keep mail up and down the web site, while looking for an alternate host for the web content.
Or they might be experiencing SODD, and just trying anything to mitigate it until they can find a new host.

Wow! thanks for the alert on the BFG site. I am checking into this. Email is good. No data on why the site took a crap. What is weird is that my other 10 sites all are fine and only this one went down? Hmmmmm.

The site was designed by an SP and built by another SP. I have yet to find an SP hosting company, but I am sure that will solve it.

I really appreciate all you guys and gals do to inform people of what is going on.

To tell you the truth, I have been very busy with my business and have not had a lot of extra time to deal with the site, and other stuff happening. I did squeeze in a few minutes here and there to get a small case going against a former employer, but other than that I have been working a lot.

I will try and post here and there to keep people up to date and maybe even tell some of the stuff that led up to this...

good luck on your lawsuit, it seems to be a well-thought out argument that has a reasonable chance of winning.


i hope you post any fair game you or your lawyer are forced to deal with. I can't help but wonder if COS targets from the past would have had an easier time if there had been a forum like this where any and all sleazy attacks would have been immediately known by thousands world-wide, just a thought...
