Just having a moment of doubt here...I reserved a copy (got an email confirming it from the BFG Book Team" saying "BFG Book Reserved!"). But that sounds different from pre-ordering. Is it?

    Excellent...

Are you going to make sure that there is a copy of your book in all libraries?

What about us Broke cuz my kidz took all the moneezfags?

I think you are doing it right. My e-mail says:

    Bracing for epic.

If I had money, you'd be getting some.

    ...money, that is.

For the ultra-paranoid: what is the best way to purchase the book anonymously? Shipping and sales records are probably accessible to someone, and a desperate stock boy could try stealing the data for fair-gaming people.

Remember when Hank Hill was stuck on a porn mailing list... all part of "The Beast" that tracks innocent citizens....

I would not recommend this unless the individual library had a system of allowing patrons to check out the book only with photo I.D. Otherwise, the book will have a very short shelf life.

I know. One of my earlier hats was stealing library books critical of Scientology & destroying them.

Okay so before we get into all the tinfoil shit. There is this:

    3955075660_ce689ed441_b.jpg

After 15 years working in Scilonville, I have chronic TFS. There, I said it. Let's move on.

Okay, so based on that, orders that come in for the book are airtight. I am the one shipping the damn books. There is not some big company doing the processing and sending all these out. As for other sites that orders will be placed through, that is mostly done through the computers and there is not some person somewhere processing orders at other companies, those orders are being processed in the computer and being forwarded to BFG INC.

I have found no cure for TFS, but for those that have it, I will at least try and tell you that from a fellow TFS survivor, I understand your concern and I have and will do as much as possible to make sure that nobody gets namefagged from buying the book. Buying the book direct from blownforgood.com will be the most secure way to purchase it.

As far as the libraries go, I have had several people suggest how to do this and if you want to get an extra copy and donate it to your local library, they will take it. It has all of the qualifying items to be accepted as an official library book and is correctly cataloged etc.

If you signed up for the pre-order/registration on the blownforgood.com website, you will be sent an email BEFORE the book goes on sale and told where to go to get it. You will be able to get the book before it goes on sale to everyone else. There is also a discount for all those that do it this way and buy it BEFORE it goes on sale November 5th.

    Random photo to end post.

Because if she did Tommy Cruise wouldn't ever come jump on her couch again.

Oprah Winfrey is a media attention whore with little talent and too much influence on her audience.

Convince her the attention generated by talking to all these cult victims outweighs anything a has-been like Cruise can bring in.

    BFG,
    Congtrats and thanks. Seriously.

Second, are you able to do a book signing tour? Maybe just regionally? I'm suggesting it because a dozen costumed nutjobs trolling the mall to promote your book can be had in pretty much every major city on earth. They work cheap too.

When the shipping cost internationally goes down to a price that isnt more than half the cost of the book it self, I`ll buy it.

    re: BLOWNFORGOOD the Book

The US-to-other-countries shipping options disappeared a while ago. Now the US Post Office only offers "expedited shipping" options, which have always been costly. So if you try to mail something larger than a letter, the minimal cost is often $35.00 USD. If you want to check yourself, go to www.usps.com.

I don't know how BFG is shipping out internationally (since I'm in the USA) but I offer this info to those outside the USA. I myself have almost quit shipping outside the USA since few items are valuable enough to rate the high shipping costs.

    Please don't guess.
Shipping to UK is $14.99 for this book. Trufax.

    re: BLOWNFORGOOD the Book

$17.99 to norway, and I checked using the paypal thing, it said shipping and handling was that. And thats just too much.

    re: BLOWNFORGOOD the Book

Bundle here, ship to a trusted person abroad, then that person ships out to end buyers? Or would that end up being ill*g*l somehow?

    re: BLOWNFORGOOD the Book

Oh come on it's still not more expensive than buying a book in the bookstore here in Norway. And it's signed man, signed! A collector's item. At least we don't have to pay import taxes on books.

    I ordered one.

I suppose that the book will become available on Amazon and in other book stores, and then the shipping costs should be cheaper then.

Shipping has become more expensive lately. I sent a package last week to England and had to pay almost as much for shipping as the thing was worth - several hundred NOK.

I love the comments hidden away in BFG's website's source code. For example:

    <div id="ie_notice">
    Hohoho!<br/>
It appears that you are using Internet Explorer 6 or 7...<br/>
both of which show crappy css support and also have some security issues <br/>
Thankfully there are a number of good alternatives to Internet Explorer which you can use for your daily surfing tasks, emailing or for any other purpose<br/>
FireFox for example , is a great web browser which is faster and more secure than Internet Explorer 6 or 7...<br/>
you can download FireFox for free at :<br/><a href="http://www.mozilla.com" title="Download Fire Fox">www.Mozilla.org</a>

With the recent attention Scientology is getting, only one question remains:

Are you a bad enough dude to plug your book on the Daily Show?

    Please don't shoot the messenger.

Priority MailĀ® International Flat-Rate Envelope to UK is $12.30 for just the postage cost (not counting packaging costs).
  36. re: BLOWNFORGOOD the Book

Well, the closest thing I can find to any official way to suggest guests for the show is the Guest Suggestions section on their website's forum. Anyone down to become a member and write an extremely riveting and persuasive suggestion? Or just become a member and then just agree with someone if they write a riveting and persuasive suggestion?

  38. re: BLOWNFORGOOD the Book

The only info I've found on who's in charge of guest booking on the Daily Show is from a year-old post by a mod on their message boards. It says it's a woman named Hillary Kun, but there is no contact info for her anywhere. Comedy Central's list of press contacts is the best I can find. BFG, it's a major long shot, but if you're interested then this is the best starting point I have found so far.

Edit: I made a thread about trying to promote the book by taking advantage of Scientology's recent media attention. If anyone other than me thinks it's a good idea to be pursuing this idea, the thread's here.
