"Beat the Heat" costumes for July......

Since it's going to be bloody hot. I'm just thinking of alternatives to a jacket and tie (which looks great, BTW).

I just thought up this idea. I'm ordering a black tee (long or short sleeves) and using grey, black, and white fabric paint to simulate a suit. I'm leaving the back of it blank for a possible Anon message. A white tee would also look good with a black tie painted on it.

My shooping skillz suck, but I used a pic I downloaded and shooped on top of it.

    Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Girls can be Mrs. Smith. (Guys can be Brad Pitt, too!)

If you're not familiar with the technique, I recommend screen printing for your project. That way, should you choose to, you can make numerous perfect copies or your shirts with little effort. It can be a tad pricey to start out with, but once you get all the stuff together, its worth it.

    You'll need:
    A printing screen
Screen printing ink (Make sure its made for fabric)
    A squeegee
Contact Paper (easiest way. Makes your screen reusable. Check this video tutorial for what to do: Contact Paper Screen Print, ETSN, Janome Contest, Thread Heads | Thread Heads)

You can get all this stuff at most arts and crafts stores. May have to get online otherwise.
