re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy stupid host says my ip is already d/l a file from them - i never been there in my life b4 OP can you put it somewhere sensible?
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy I'm too lazy to download and listen to this but I anxiously await feedback from those more manly than me.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy downloading, will tell you what tape it is in a couple minutes.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy 58 minutes 38 seconds, rather low quality audio but its him
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy I changed my mind after listening to it. That's L Ron Hubbard.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy Its really worth downloading. Its hubtard planning a high security op Hubtard says that they have set up a forward staging area but do not have a permanent base I can only assume that this is a part of operation normandy
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy Talks to his security guy about setting up an apartment in Daytona beach for him and Mary Sue, plus one or two other apartments nearby for the other people. Says, "there's St.Petersburg but I don't wanna go there".
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy He's concerned about being hit with subpoenas and the IRS.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy I'll say it again: I wish like hell he'd chosen Daytona. He never would have made it there.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy You're missing out. It's creepy. Ideal for holloween. The way he barks at his female messenger is hilarous.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy What did he type on the typewriter for authorization for the flunky to get money? Was it "##,,##" ?
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy He did choose Daytona to start with. I was one of the first non ship staff members (from Paris Org) to arrive for training at the Neptune Motel on Daytona Beach. Hubbard was NOT at that Motel but was in Florida too. Nice thing was, we had 11am to 12 pm every day as "beach time" so it would not look so creepy with a motel full of people that never used the beach they were on, LOL. We stayed there for around 6 weeks or so then all headed over to the Jack Tar Hotel in Clearwater, which then got renamed the Fort Harrison Hotel when we "arrived" as "United Churches of Florida" which was a total lie, of course. That cover got blown really fast by the local Mayor. Hubbard went to Dunedin at "King Arthur's Court" Motel and had his HQ secretly there. I saw him once drive by the Fort Harrison Hotel in his gold colored Cadillac.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy "A room for Mary Sue and a room for myself"? Guess Hubbard didn't sleep with his wife....

re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy I knew he'd tried Daytona, but then settled on Clearwater, so I'll re-word it. I wish he'd stayed in Daytona. The cult wouldn't have survived there.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy He kept referring to a "TC 55". I thought it some obscure scilon sooper seekrit order but later on it turns out it is the Sony TC 55 cassette recorder (popular with the private dicks of the time). Sony Cassette-Corder TC-55
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy I didn't get that one part either...is "M" Kima Douglas, or the gal from the James Bond movies? What's the code name for at the Holiday Inn? I can see how the guy is confused. This is hysterical!
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy This is a training audio tape for the Sea Organization. It's part of the action bureau tapes of the late 1970s mission staff were required to listen to. This is what's called a "Briefing and Firing" on a mission to Florida. The person he is talking to (receiving the briefing is Pat Broeker).
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy That's not what I asked--in the context of the tape. Is "Kima" simply Kima Douglas, or is she code name "M"? The GO guy was confused, and I am not sure Hubbard himself understood what he said. And, "Kima Douglas doesn't even know about it...." as Ron said. This is hilarious! No wonder his cult is full of fail.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy The "GO Person" being talked at is Pat Broeker.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy ^^^^ THIS added comment Can anyone verify that this is Pat Broeker?
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy This is a tape that came from one of the sundry court cases, that just kind of vanished into obscurity. The tape was recorded so the flunky wouldn't foul up the covert mission. He could listen to it later, so's not to get a motel at first choice. But, what about those aliens put ashore in the "staging area"?
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy couple of points/questions - 1)- do we need a transcript done 2)- is anybody currently transcribing 3)- if not, I'll start doing it
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy It would be nice to have a transcript! Please?
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy The legendary "TC 55" Three on board, but the messenger couldn't find the third. Hubbard must have designed the TC 55. In any event he is an expert on it, and everything else. TC-55
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy anyone with a clue about project fall asleep ? google brings up nothing
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy Umm, I'm having much trouble downloading the file (keeps coming up with "Your download was not found or has expired. Please try again.") Did someone mind re-uploading somewhere else? It would be very much appreciated.
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy I had loads of trouble too. But someone put it up here: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy Ditto yes for a transcription!~ caeks an' internets! 50mgb audio file DL wouldn't make it in one piece with my crap connection but I'm curious as hell about it *bows to scribe*
re: AUDIO: LRH briefs Gerry Armstrong - Project Normandy Hubbard wasn't into threesomes and wanted a room for himself and the (rather jail bait) David Miscavige who was a CM (Commodore's Messenger) at the time.
