People may die of drug addiction all the time, but not at the hands of untrained medical staff and family members paying $30,000 for QUACK treatments at a centre following Scientology's tech. A small little fact they choose not to tell people. And if it was your child, family member or friend, I think you would feel quite differently.

And although there is truth to what you say, as far as nothing gets done until it stinks....
after the first death, someone should have been asking questions, not to mention the butt load of personal testimonies and ex's stories that are out there, PLUS past employees accounts of shenanigans. But nobody cared to listen.

One snowflake does not an avalanche make, and to the media in the Canadian area (weird name for a town, but whatever), the first reports looked like a solitary snowflake. This has been over a 3 year period, and we can't forget about how gun shy media were, rightly, over Scientology back when the first death occurred. I agree that it would have been better had this happened sooner, but that was not a realistic or reasonable expectation.

Thank you to Mimi Parrow and Ashley, as well as "Mrs. X" for ALL helping get Ashley free from Narconon, Michigan. This was a wonderful success of people just communicating - something Scientology SELLS but CANNOT deliver (except within their own Scio-Truman Show). Well, We SPs Can - we did, and as a result, one more is FREE!

"Something's terribly wrong there" says father of woman who died at Narconon Arrowhead

    By Jeanne LeFlore - July 21, 2012

On Friday morning, Stacy Dawn Murphy, 20, was found dead at Narconon Arrowhead in Candian and her father said he wants answers.

Robert "Murphy" Murphy of Owasso said he needs to know her death won't go unnoticed.

"I want to know her death wasn't in vain, that changes will be made," Murphy said Saturday.

He said Narconon officials told him that she was found dead in the "DeTox" room, He said she was alone and hadn't been checked on for at least 2 and half hours.

"That's too long. If they though she was overdosed, why didn't they have someone with her the whole time?"

He said it wasn't until after she was checked in to the facility about 6 weeks ago that he found out about the recent deaths.

"We sent her there to get better, not to die," he said.

    Something doesn't add up.
The "DeTox room" obviously isn't the initial area where addicts dry out. Sounds like Purif.

Can Scientologist Tom Cruise recruit cult comedian Russell Brand?

    By Katie Nicholl

Tom Cruise is hoping to introduce comic Russell Brand to Scientology.

Newly separated Cruise is keen to recruit his Rock Of Ages co-star to be a spokesman for Scientology rehab project Narconon.

‘Tom thinks Russell’s battle with alcohol and drug addiction is a way to reach out to the vulnerable,’ says an LA spy.

Cruise also introduced Brand to Hollywood studio boss Sumner Redstone, who asked Russell to compere an event to help addicts.

I can honestly say that I have never seen an echidna penis before. So how did it happen that I stumble across two in one day? The obvious answer is that "God did it", nevermind the fact that the second penis observation came from a video I watched about transitional forms and how they make creationists look retarded.

Fun Fact: Two of the heads shut down. And each time they ejaculate, semen is secreted from alternate sides.

    Echidna porn starts around 1:40.

A patient being sent back to WD is NOT uncommon. Many patients suffer from more
than one ailment, not just addiction. Others use drugs again that come into Narconon often.

The WD Unit is the beginning of the indoctrination - - they will not let a patient out until
they cooperate with the TR and Light Objective Drills. If they refuse, some are kicked out.

The WD Unit is one of MOST dangerous places for patients. Period!

  35. It's well beyond gross negligence that the Narconon drug 'treatment' facility would not only mistreat this poor girl who had apparently overdosed but completely ignored her.

Narconon personnel didn't even call an ambulance and properly monitor her until it arrived.

Considering their history of horrible deaths, it's criminal, imho, this outrage and the entire bogus operation including the number 1 beneficiary of this brutal scam, David Miscavige.

    Rest in Peace, StacyMurphy

The reason I ask is because I occasionally run a Google search for anything that has mentioned Narconon in the past hour, and the following cult press release from the PRWEB press release distribution service just turned up at

Oklahoma Drug Rehab Announces the Best Way to Push Back Against New Drug Trend

Canadian, OK (PRWEB) July 21, 2012

When it comes to drug abuse in Oklahoma, most people have heard plenty about drinking and driving and homemade methamphetamine. While these problems are still sending people to drug rehabilitation centers around the state, the newest addition to the roster of drug problems is prescription drug abuse.

While some people may feel that prescription drug abuse is safer than using street drugs, they would be wrong. Prescription drug overdoses have been involved in many high profile deaths, including Heath Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith and the popular artist Thomas Kinkade.

Across the US, the distribution of prescription painkillers has reached astronomical levels. Each year, according to the Associated Press, there are 42 tons of pure hydrocodone (the main painkilling ingredient in Vicodin, Lortab and many others) and 69 tons of pure oxycodone (found in OxyContin and Percocet, among others) distributed to Americans.

How much of these drugs go to abuse rather than therapeutic use is not known. The rate of prescription painkiller abuse in Oklahoma was the highest in the country in 2010. The state also ranked in the top ten for overdose deaths. Every day of the year, an average of two Oklahomans died from overdoses of these drugs.

On January 1, 2012, Oklahoma pharmacies started being required to report all narcotics that are given out to customers. The State of Oklahoma demands that this report must be sent to state agencies within five minutes of the drugs being handed to the customer. This is a step in the right direction, but when a prescription is available to the patient because of overprescribing by the doctor, a prescription monitoring program may not be much help. It will also not help a person who buys drugs off the black market or who gets pills from someone else with a prescription.

Law enforcement and reports to state agencies will never be able to eliminate substance abuse and addiction. Much of the battle will be fought on a one-on-one basis, by helping a person lose the craving for these drugs through rehabilitation, or by preventing drug abuse from starting in the first place.

Both of these activities are in full force at the Narconon Arrowhead drug and alcohol rehabilitation and prevention center near McAlester, Oklahoma. Ever since the Narconon program came to Oklahoma in the early 1990s, those who had become addicted have learned how to achieve productive, enjoyable lives. It doesnt take hundreds of meetings or the use of substitute medications that are themselves addictive. It takes rolling up ones sleeves and showing those who may have lost everything to addiction how to rebuild that life from the ground up. It also takes extensive drug education, like the classes delivered to hundreds of thousands of Oklahoma schoolchildren over the past few years, by Narconon Arrowhead staff.

To ensure that it services Oklahomans with the best possible service, Narconon Arrowhead has been continually certified by the international Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services (CARF) and it has met or exceeded the state licensing requirements since 1992.

Woman "held against her will" at Narconon Arrowhead

    By Jeanne LeFlore - July 21, 2012

A young woman says she was held against her will at Narconon Arrowhead and had to be rescued by Pittsburg County Sheriffs officers late Thursday night.

Narconon Arrowhead is a non-profit drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Canadian with ties to the church of Scientology, according to Gary Smith director of the facility.

About 10:30 p.m. Thursday two Pittsburg County Sheriff’s officers were dispatched at Narconon Arrowhead to escort Destanie Ramsey,19, of Holdenville, out of the facility after her mother said she was told she could not pick her up, according to Richard Bedford Assistant Pittsburg County Sheriff.

“We asked her if she wanted to leave and she said yes,” Bedford said.

Ramsey said she wanted out because of the recent death of her roommate at the facility, Stacy Dawn Murphy.

Murphy, 20, was found dead at the facility on Thursday morning, according to police report.

The case is under investigation by the Pittsburg County Sheriffs department and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations.
