Forget the religion. It's a secular rehab. And iirc, over the counter vitamins aren't the same as administering toxic doses, it falls under medical in either Canada or France.

Narconon is a secular program being sold to the public. Different laws apply. I don't care if they purif themselves into puddles of grease inside Scientology, but selling it to unsuspecting people outside the Scientology bubble is dangerous fraud. And yes, if the quack is a quack and takes your money for a bogus treatment you bet your ass laws have been broken.

Look at quack cancer cures. (And the number of quacks who get jailed or move to Mexico.)

Welcome! Making things happen will take many people helping us out emailing and calling important people in the school system. The more we have the quicker we will take down Narconon.

btw I pm'd you. Check your Conversations.

    Catton completes documentary, "Curing Addiction"

By MJ Brickey Staff Writer The McAlester News-Capital Tue Oct 11, 2011, 09:54 AM CDT

McALESTER — Writer, Director and Producer Lucas Catton, of McAlester, recently finished his documentary film “Curing Addiction.”

The film addresses the subject of alternative rehabilitation for those with substance abuse problems.

It also explores the idea that alternative rehabilitation may work for those whom traditional rehabilitation has not.

Catton said that he knows that Southeatern Oklahoma has seen it’s share of drug problems, as the rest of the country has.

Catton hopes this documentary helps people here, but everywhere.

According to Catton, he successfully completed a long-term residential rehabilitation program in 1999. He began working and training in drug education and rehabilitation.

Catton said he started out in the field by giving drug prevention presentations to large schools with students in the thousands in Boston, Mass. Soon, Catton started teaching throughout New England. It was there he found his ability to connect with and to entertain audiences.

In 2000, Catton worked in Oklahoma for Narconon, one of the nations largest drug education and rehabilitation centers.

Catton started out as the center’s director of Drug Education and within two years was promoted into an executive position.

Catton was elected to the executive board of the Oklahoma Substance Abuse Alliance in 2003, where he worked directly on public policy and advocacy issues with local, state and U.S. leaders.

Catton worked with Narconon until February of 2006

I have worked in the addiction treatment field for over 9 years. I was an Executive at Narconon Arrowhead for 5 years and then created my own field group to send people to Narconon programs and to train others to do the same. My purpose was to help people get into successful drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs that are drug free and to get other's started who are on the same purpose line and helping anyone that wanted to have their own web-site(s).

I now work for Narconon Arrowhead again as the Deputy Senior Director for Expansion.

    November 19th, 2011

    Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter to the "McAlester News-Capital" regarding a recent article "Local Narconon leader speaks out on conflict over school presentation".

My name is Colin Henderson and I am the "disgruntled former client" as Gary Smith of Narconon so eloquently put. I am disgruntled because Narconon Arrowhead was not telling me the truth when I was seeking help for my drug addiction. When I asked if Scientology was being taught or practiced I was told No. Narconon lied to me and continues to lie to thousands of people for the sake of money.

I would like to thank CEO Gary Smith of Narconon of Oklahoma Inc. from the bottom of my heart for this statement "Smith said Narconon is thankful for its affiliation with the Church of Scientology". If I would have been told I would not have gone to Narconon Arrowhead in July of 2007 and they wouldn't have made any money off of my Family and I.

The main reason for my exit of the Narconon program after only 2 weeks was the simple fact that I could have died in this program. As for another statement in the article 'A Narconon Drug Education school curriculum', given to the News-Capital by Smith, it states all drugs are deemed poisonous. "One very important point to understand is nearly all drugs are toxic. In other words, most drugs are basically poisonous... "

This explains why Narconon Arrowhead refused to give me my blood pressure medication until I threatened legal action, it's a known fact in Scientology that all drugs are bad (poisons), even the ones your Doctor prescribes you.

As for Gary Smith's quote "what he called a "cyber-terrorist" group, Anonymous", this a term coined by the Church of Scientology in its propaganda campaign in response to the 2008 protests against the church, which continue to this day. Very few who claim to be of Anonymous. I am thankful for my affiliation with Anonymous. Anonymous has no leaders or followers only individuals that wish to Protect our Freedoms and to End all Oppression. I am Anonymous, You are Anonymous, We are all Anonymous, We are One. No one person speaks for Anonymous, We all do. Ideas can change the world. Very few who claim to be of Anonymous are "cyber terrorists" and certainly I am not one. I am just a average American trying to alert people to the dangers of a program that I have experienced. Anonymous helps in exposing Narconon.. well in my book that is a good thing!

I was a client of Narconon Arrowhead in July of 2007 and seen much of this with my own eyes. How is it that this place has been allowed to operate with these issues occurring? The truth is, you are being deceived on a grand scale when you are told that Narconon is not Scientology.

Personally, I am a born again Christian however my problem with Narconon is not because of the religion of Scientology behind Narconon. It is because of the deception that the Church of Scientology and Narconon is using it to further its growth and wealth. I firmly believe that I was lead to Narconon Arrowhead and this is why I am writing this letter. It's not for me that I do this, it is for you.

    Respectfully,
    Colin Henderson

The purpose of a Registrar and FSM is to make money and help others make even more money - money - money - money - money!

The more money, means more bodies in the shop and higher stats each week.

Excuse my language, I don't usually swear, but these FUCKING fake web sites are what is causing us the most problems in fighting them. These sites are the engine that generates the money. I interviewed two victims in Toronto this last weekend and I asked why their now deceased family member was sent to NN TR. The answer was, "We found Narconon when we did a Google search for a rehab center in Ontario - - then we talked to a slick Registrar who made us feel so good about sending our loved one into their care." Yes, Scott Burgess, the Registrar, is a slick piece of work indeed. My office was next to his.

These Fake Referal web sites are so deceiving and misrepresent the truth. Am I going to do something about these sites, their owners, and the FSM's in Canada? Without getting too vulgar - - I suggest K-Y Jell:)

Does anyone think these fake referal sites should be reported to IC3?
The IC3 was established as a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center(NW3C) to serve as a means to receive Internet related criminal complaints and to further research, develop, and refer the criminal complaints to federal, state, local, or international law enforcement and/or regulatory agencies for any investigation they deem to be appropriate. The IC3 was intended, and continues to emphasize, serving the broader law enforcement community to include federal, as well as state, local, and international agencies, which are combating Internet crime and, in many cases, participating in Cyber Crime Task Forces.

I had a conversation today with ODMHSAS http://ok.gov/odmhsas/ . I ask them what the progress was regarding NN Arrowhead cert. They told me that ODMHSAS has done a walk through and found many things that NN arrowhead must address before the cert. is renewed. I was instructed with a wisper of a voice from ODMHSAS that they have found many inconsistencies at NN Arrowhead. ODMHSAS needs as many complaints as possible to the ODMHSAS Consumer Advocacy Division http://ok.gov/odmhsas/Additional_Information/Consumer_Rights/index.html

    not an acceptable answer Jacky!
The FBI or whoever has to look into who is profitting from NN besides COS
FOUR deaths in the last year is more than enough to shut a place down!
    shut them down now!!
    This is ridiculous!

  34. Sekee Member

It’s not an acceptable answer. Probably the right one though.
  35. RightOn Member

regardless. If there were 4 deaths on a ride at a amusement partk or 4 deaths in the last year anywhere, money or not, the ride, the place or whatever would be shut down until further investigation.
Are they playing "wait and see" if another dies?
    Something is very wrong here

    EDITED:
And I know a LOT of idiotic people sadly think... "well, they're drug addicts after all". And many think that they are expendable or the "dregs of society". Especially Scientology ironically enough! Who feel they these people are degraded beings!

They need to be shut down now and the public has to push the senators, health officals , and whover MOAR to do so NOW!
They are crazy if they don't!
I mean if I had a child and they were in there, and I heard these reports and I was unable to get them out right away, amd something tragic happened or they were just hospitilized from these bogus quack rehab treatments, I would sue the freakin' State for not taking action sooner and not shutting them down.
Is this what OK is asking for?
    • Agree Agree x 3
  36. Sekee Member

    I agree!

One death is too many. As far as I can see the only people who are blaming the victims are the scilons. That’s just attack the attacker tech. It makes them look like callous bastards who are unwilling to take responsibility for their own actions.
    • Agree Agree x 1
  37. RightOn Member

    well of course..
but what is going to happen now, is that people may be able to go after the State or other authorities for not acting sooner. I am not a lawyer, but I think if I was a parent, and authorities dragged their heels on shutting it down, (which they are already guilty of) I would sue anyone who allowed it to stay open.

    edited:
and this can go statewide? Say something happened in another NN.
Is this info going to be shared with other states? Is OK going to reccomend to other states to shut down those centers too? If I was a parent and my kid was in a NN in another state, and saw this on the news or I read about it, I would question why the NN my kid was in was also allowed to stay open.
  38. Sekee Member

Maybe they should sue the Oklahoma government. They knew that Narconon was dangerous way back when they ordered the closure of Narconon Chilocco in 1992.

I am hoping that this and the Desmond RICO case will collapse the whole scam.
    • Agree Agree x 2
  39. RightOn Member

thing is.... they have to shut down NOW
Not only is COS going to be liable, but now that the cat is out of the bag on these deaths...
The government will now be liable that they allowed it to stay open after the fact.
    IMO
Stacy Murphy died when again? A month ago? WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR?

  40. I fully agree that narconon everywhere should be shut down.

What I intended to imply - especially when it comes to the USA - is that the cult has bought and paid for the American Government.

There is scads of circumstantial evidence to more than suggest that numerous people have been bought. They didn't sell out - they were bought out.

Yes, just circumstantial evidence, but still, I just can't find another reason for the travesty.

Look at CARF, and all the other "accreditation" institutions. It all horrifies me.
