re scans of curriculum: a previously mentioned there are over 200 pages double sided. That is going to take time, and some of us have these things called jobs, kids, etc. If you want to rent us a high speed scanner here in SoCal, we'll happily accept it. Until then STFU.

Most offices have duplexing scanners (Xerox office machines, etc)... Just an estimate. And is it possible to obtain the Ethics Officer Hatting manual for the school? If the hatting manual exists, then that's a good sign of bullshit coming from the school. If we can't get it, then more than likely they will still be employing the use of KR's (Gestapo techniques for indoctrination).

I was the director of public contact for a class V org and it was basically my job to out and get new people into the org. As a part of my training I had to do drills on how to handle people who were antagonistic to scientology since I was bound to run into them. One of the ways we were taught to handle people who were critical of dianetics was to ask "Have you ever read it?" This was supposed to handle the third party information they had. Anytime anyone says this in a scientology discussion it raises a HUGE red flag and sets off alarm bells for me. I would tend to think that person was either a current or ex-scilon.

I think the school protests should continue for a bit longer. For the parent's sake. Some of them may have been too nervous to take a good serious look at the signs you had up yesterday. Clue to those who don't know. Ethics in scientology means something VERY different in practice than it does to the rest of the world.

I can't believe we are still arguing about whether or not Will Smith is a Scientologist. This is about his "school"- which has strong and clear ties to Scientology regardless of being a "religious" school or not (partly because 99% of Scientology is NOT religion, the other 1% is strongly cultish [like how I throw numbers out there at random, created from nothing? Scientology and Economists have nothing on me] ).

It's obviously been approved by CoS. You can't use the tech without paying unless you are given the green light. You can't squirrel the tech unless you want to be declared. If it was anybody else, Smith would be an SP and his wife PTS until she were to disconnect. Obviously, all men are equal in Scientology but some are more equal than others- they can do it.

An ethics officer is a member of Scientology the same way a nun is a member of the church. They are roles specifically designed to enforce and perpetuate the ideals and/or agenda of Scientology. Take for example, going for confession. If you created a school and said that everyone must have confessionals and go to their priest, but then say "No Christianity or religion"- then that would be stupid. Because if you whittle out ALL the religion and ALL the religious implications, you would simply call it "going to the guidance counselor."

There's only two reasons you would keep the word "ethics officer" and "ethics program." One being the obvious, it has Scientology related material behind it. The second is good PR for Scientology and trying to show off the name to give it legitimacy.

You can't divorce Study tech from Scientology- it is, at its core, used to train Scientologists. They tell me CCHR has nothing to do with Scientology as well, and I buy that as much as Donald Trump's hair.

Like chuckbeaty said before, Study tech is a punishment driven tool that is based off of submission just as much, if no more, as it is based off learning. It's not about study tech being a horrible learning tool. It's about the baggage that comes with it. It's the proverbial foot in the door, it stuffs kid's heads with a bastardization of the English language that can ONLY be applied to Scientology. It makes it hard to communicate with other kids, leading to social ostracism and difficulty of learning once they graduate unless you go to Scientology schools. The lingo here on this forum is difficult to understand for other people, but it extra to our vocabulary. There, it replaces it. Then, if their drug learning program is based of Narconon- then the only place they will turn to if they have a problem is Scientology because they are the only ones batshit enough to believe it.

Truth be told, talking to Will Smith was win for the sake of it being a win. There is no way he is running that school, there is a man behind the curtain. Will Smith may be as intelligent as people give him credit for, but running schools is a highly intensive job, it requires a lot more than a diploma in something or other. It requires years of studying on that specific subject. Touring a few countries and having people talk to you doesn't cut it, administrators of schools are specialized in this. He's no more fit to run a school than I am.

Personally, I'm more interested in the Director of Learning. Or whoever is really in charge of what's going on. They don't even have to be in the position of top guy. Remember Graham's (I think it was him) speech? They have to be in a position of influence and proximity to the decision making.

I don't know if I buy the whole thing is an elaborate cover up on somebody's part. But I am suspicious enough and I rather question that accept. *shrug*

PS. Study Tech comes from the ravings a corrupt madman who failed at everything in life except getting people to follow him unquestionably. The current leader of Scientology is an eight grade drop out with the emotional development of a four year old who thinks punching people in the face is an acceptable reaction to criticism. They are just as qualified to run a school for children as they are running a drug rehab center based off of their psuedoscience bullshit.
