AnonOrange in the Examiner Riverside-area man amasses thousands of files alleging abuse by Scientologists
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner The article in the Los Angeles Examiner, not the tabloid, was written by a friend of AO's in his atheistic circles. That's one way of getting yourself media attention. AO has claimed to have amassed "thousands of files" but their hasn't been a shred of evidence to support his statement. This and the fact that his friend, AGP, lists AO as a "cult expert" on his website.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner Why don't you get yourself into an anti-$cilon article. Until then, you're just being a Bitter Betty.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner Because I'm not narcissistic and need to call on friends to write fluff pieces about myself. Alot of anons have done some awesome anti-$cilon research without needing public recognition or celebrity for it. AO has always been the opposite.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner You've got to admit, this is a good story because it is about the abuses.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner AnonOrange will soon be the model egofag of the planet! AnonOrange has the biggest Central Files of any egofag on the planet, with 340,000 files.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner Examiner.com is a site that anyone can write for. Just saying. People get rated by how many page views they generate. It is NOT a real news site. Here is an "story" about Sylvia Browne. Here is an article by a naturopath. Another story about reflexology. So, there are good stories and bad stories on this site, but please don't confuse it with a news website with an editor, etc....it is more of a free-for all.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner You know, I'm going to stick up for the Examiner a little bit. There's a writer over there, Cassandra Yorgey, who got interested in the who James Ray Sweat Lodge Murder fiasco, and wrote about it a few columns about it. All of a sudden, people with inside info were leaking it to her, and she ended up breaking all sorts of news. Just because it's free doesn't mean it's useless.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner Is he asking for volunteers to clean up his Central Files, so he can be the first Model Ideal Egofag?
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner I'm thinking accusations of OSA should be WWP's version of the Godwin Rule.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner I'm thinking I liked you better with a [STRIKE]line through your name.[/STRIKE]
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner Indeed. Each story should be examined by the credibility of its author. To that end, there are a lot of awfully good writers on the Examiner who are doing it for truth, justice, and the lulz. (Certainly not for the pay) And, it goes into Google news feed. Important.

Re: Man Amasses Thousands of Files Wait, what? It almost looks like AO has gotten something productive going on here. There is one thing in there that is weird for me, the mention of incest. Huh?
Re: Man Amasses Thousands of Files LOL, it's AO, but this is still pretty awesome. On another note, does anyone have a copy of that pic of AO in drag with the "I'm a Scientologist!" sign? I've been trying to find that everywhere.
Re: Man Amasses Thousands of Files One thing which would have bolstered the article considerably would have been to reference the Headley law suits too. It should've also mentioned that books have been published, e.g. BFG, about the accounts of abuse, human trafficking, slave labour, coerced abortions and that the publications remain legally unchallenged. Basically, more external references for the general audience so that it removes the air of "one man's kooky obsession". Also the "for more informations see.." lings at the bottom of the article partly fail.
Re: Man Amasses Thousands of Files Duplicate thread is duplicate http://forums.whyweprotest.net/15-media/anonorange-examiner-60768/?highlight=anonorange
You all do realize that this is essentially a press release and that this is basically a site where writers can write whatever they want, right? Good point about Google, but I am with the Anonymous poster you responded to. This isn't exactly a win in terms of press coverage. It's a press release that is trying to look like news.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner The first rule of advertising/media is repetition. Each and every time there's PR for us, it's a win. It's also true that no matter how many times we advertise/get a press release, we will never reach 100% of the people out there. If AO get press exposing the cult's crimes, I say more power to him.
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner reddited: Riverside-area man amasses thousands of files alleging abuse by Scientologists : scientology upvote for front page =3
Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner tl;dr of this thread Decent article, makes a good point, but AO involvement means reason to bitch

Re: AnonOrange in the Examiner That's one way to set bait. Cult operatives may be lured into a break-in attempt.
Lurk moar, faggot. Many of those leaked files were leaked here first. Did I remember to call you a faggot? Faggot! As long as it's a 'free-for-view' and accurate, I hardly care about the site's provenance. If it means more people will hear of the story of Gold Base and Rivercide County corruption, I'm in favor of it.
Re: Man Amasses Thousands of Files Right. All AO has to do nao is about 200 more of these and he'll become half as valuable as Lilly was.
