Alternative Treatment also used for Autism NewsChannel 5.com - Nashville, Tennessee - Girl's Death Raises Questions About Alternative Therapies In light of the above news story, I really need to pose this question. What if the Travoltas had secretly accepted that their son had Autism and attempted to use an alternative medicine to help him? The girl in the news story also died of a seizure. It would explain the suddenness of Jett's death. It's just another angle, but I felt that I needed to present the theory to the hive.
Re: Alternative Treatment also used for Autism I'm not sure there's much connection but this sentence in the article certainly screamed Travolta: Also, somebody posted an article connecting Scientology with chelation therapy: http://forums.whyweprotest.net/298-jett-travolta/scientogy-autism-dan-35247/
Re: Alternative Treatment also used for Autism Isn't scientology alternative enough for you? The article says, "[girl's parents] believe environmental toxins caused their children's illness - and chelation could cure them." Sounds like purification rundown, yes? So if authorities are investigating whether there's "evidence of child abuse and criminally negligent homicide" in this case, then perhaps a good angle to pursue is: Shouldn't authorities also investigate Travolta's case to see whether there's evidence of child abuse and criminally negligent homicide?
Re: Alternative Treatment also used for Autism I first thought that this could some how be related to scientology given the fact that the clinic in question is on Music Row which is literally down the street from the Nashville CC, but I googled chelation therepy and wiki says it was used during WW 1 to treat soldiers exposed to poison gas. It is also a treatment that Jenny Mcarthey supports due to her autistic son. That's why I thought that maybe the Travoltas had again began seeking a treatment for their son's autism. But admitting that they were giving that treatment to Jett would get them in trouble with the cult because of the cult's stance on autism.
Re: Alternative Treatment also used for Autism It's Moidah (murder) of the highest calibre. I call jail time for Mr Travolta
Re: Alternative Treatment also used for Autism is it just me or does OP smack of 'hey guys there are other injustices besides scientology why don't you fight those'
Re: Alternative Treatment also used for Autism Here's the connection I see. Autism is a behavioral disorder; it's only diagnosed by how a person behaves. The autistic child varies; he has good days and bad days. Therefore, as a parent it's very easy to convince yourself that a pointless treatment like chelation therapy is doing something. And the very fact that the child is getting more attention may change his behavior. There's also the bogus belief in toxins. Heavy metal poisoning is rare and not hard to diagnose. These practitioners will do chelation on anyone who's willing to pay. I'm not sure which worthless detox therapy is more dangerous, chelation or the purif. Ick to anyone who would subject a little kid to that!
Re: Alternative Treatment also used for Autism that's okay, i'm not afraid to be right all by myself =P
