I don't have much tolerance for tinfoil either, but I'll be listening... pajamas and cake for brunch never hurt anyone. I am not familiar with the format, but if it's call-in, I can do my part to get the train back on the tracks if the host gets too repetitive with the space opera bull or similar.

BFG, you deserve your place in the sun. I'm sure that you will direct the discussion to the relevant issues. You are a highly competent individual and hell, you lived and wrote it yourself.

Have a little faith in BFG. He's more than earned it, IMO.

It really doesn't matter what any of us think about this radio program. It has a huge audience and is presented in such a way that whatever the topic of the evening is, they tend to explore it with respect (even if it's a crackpot idea). With a 3 hour interview they, give the speaker (BFG) ample opportunity to speak their truth in a non-controversial forum. This has a tendency to allow the audience to listen without preconceived notions (some believe, some don't). It also allows the speaker the unique opportunity to fully explain their belief/position/opinion.

It then has the opportunity to fall into the catagory of----
I heard---
My friend heard---
My friend's friend heard---
My sister, brother, father, mother heard..........

BFG has the opportunity with this interview to reach a very unique audience that can be very helpful in informing the general public about the COS.

I am eagerly awaiting both the interview and the potential follow-up by other media sources.

Don't kid yourself, this is a very popular program that is monitored by alot of other media for potential story ideas.

No this is a VERY biased program for moonbats produced by moonbats. And that is the upside for us. An average person who may become a Scientologist would likely be interested by this type of program because it deals with non provable nonsense and theoretical physics that is far more theoretical than anything else.

No I have never heard a reputable news source reference this program or any other program where more than 50% of the callers are calling to report their encounters with ghosts, aliens, UFO's Mothman, shadow people, covert goverment agents, psychics and bigfoot.

Good luck BFG I would not have picked this program for you but there is big potential win here.

More notable is that this appearance by BFG is just the latest in an ongoing series of media outlets printing or broadcasting his story. There's more to come apparently (and it is likely these outlets have asked BFG not to name them publicly until publication or broadcast).

I don't mind the hints and updates. Media exposure is liek cocaine. Moar is never enough. Nor will it bother me that when he doesn't criticize the beliefs. This is a another step forward in fucking the cult. There's still plenty of time for the belief system to be publicly unraveled.

We know where he stands and he knows where (i think) many of us stand on the tech. He's not fucking Rathbun-like in his behavior or agenda. That kind of faggotry is abhorrent to me. I don't see that here.

It's not just tinfoil-hat nutjobs that listen to this show.

99% of the stuff IS tinfoil nutjob... but it's really entertaining. As an example of non-nutjobs listening to this show... as a commercial pilot I'd always tune in on this show at night on the ADF when I was flying in the western US.

Some here have said Marc's participation may paint him as a member of the lunatic fringe. I think there's some (minimal) risk of that -- but think of who he's reaching by being on this show: millions of people who aren't exactly known for their scientific rigor.

These people are PRECISELY the kind of folks scientology would like to suck in. The smart ones will already know scientology is BS. The flabby-minded ones might just get an inoculation.

Coast to Coast is a good show with good hosts. The audience deserves more credit than most are giving them.

The fact that some people complain about certain media coverage of the anti-scientology movement is a testament to how far it has come. I doubt anybody would have complained two years ago.

Imagine a child predator is moving into your neighborhood. This is like BFG being invited to visit every school for 3 miles around and give a lecture to the assembled student body about how and why the guy is dangerous. That anyone would complain about this is an epic fail of tactical understanding.

They deserve more credit for being creative maybe.

Because of the time difference I thought that the program started last night at midnight. I listened, they promoted homeopathic medicine, talked about how the government is behind engineering the swine flu, and discussed if the flu was being spread by "Chem-trails" behind jet planes. The callers could not stay on topic and talked about how alien visitors created the Mayan calendar, and theorized that Obama will be releasing the information about aliens to prepare us for 2012. (also remote viewing was mentioned at least twice on two different subjects, at least one of those times it was mentioned by the host.)

I listened for less than 45 min. The show doesn't start until 7min after the hour with commercials, and they read headlines from around the world before they start getting moonbatty.

They also seemed to be anti psych drugs and how people's mental problems can be caused by the areas of the country they live in.

From time to time C2C has "legit" guests such as theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku or Phil Plait, the "Bad Astronomer", both of whom discuss real science. Plus, as someone else pointed out, it's Ian Punnett hosting tonight, not George Noory. George seems to attract more of the tinfoil crowd.

I don't see why last night's "moonbatty" open lines show means that BFG's appearance tonight will somehow be fail. They probably won't open the lines until the last hour of the show, anyway, by which point BFG will have had (almost) two hours to present his case.

I didn't say it would be fail that BFG is on tonight. I was commenting on the moonbattery that was not exclusively from the callers.

The guest for the first portion of the show was a regular on the show and a "quack" that was suggesting that the region of the country can determine a persons mental illness.

She is the one that spoke against Big Pharma the echoed CCHR-ish propaganda claiming to be a Dr.in Chinese medicine. And is part of C2C's "crack staff".

Sometimes C2C is entertaining, sometimes it's unbearable. Another quack they have on is "Dr." Ann Blake-Tracy (she bought her Ph.D from a diploma mill) who thinks SSRIs are the cause of every bad thing EVER. (She's not CCHR, but her name comes up alongside CCHR propaganda from time to time.)

Anyway, C2C's raison d'être is to provide an open forum for "moonbattery." That doesn't mean there aren't really excellent guests from time to time.
