If I understand you correctly, they have stopped letting people give their minutes to someone else. It is hard to pack a punch in three minutes but you girls are doing a fine job. Redhead is learning to speak fast. I loved that smart ass comment from you in one meeting when you said Stone could have the rest of your time to respond.

Perhaps a good idea is to have some creative genius put together a WOW video teaser that punches you in the face and leaves you wanting more.....and then provide a link to the extended version.

Or...something very tantalizing (no not sexual)...and have it abruptly cut off..and have the person say

    Until Next Time.

    Think drama.

Leave Stone with an OH SHIT what is coming in our next Board meeting thought.

There are a lot of creative people around here.

You never know what is going to come out of one of those meetings. Nathan Baca's investigation was sparked by a meeting that he was attending for a different reason.

It is a big mistake to be distracted the content of the booklet. The core issue is the corrupt process that Lirra and Julie and others have been hammering away at. Don't focus on issues that can be argued. Focus on the corrupt process and Stone's central role in it.

    1. Who gave Stone the inflammatory, unattributed, unverified booklet?

    2. What led Stone to introduce the inflammatory, unattributed, unverified booklet as justification for 884 at the December 9 meeting?

    3. Why did Stone not file the inflammatory, unattributed, unverified booklet with the Clerk of the Board after he introduced it at the December 9 meeting?

    4. Why does Stone refuse to answer any of these questions?

None of these questions are new, and we all know the answers to them, but they should be asked until Stone decides to answer them.

Marion Ashley has been a big supporter of Mary Bono. Although, I heard that she is no longer a Scientologist. Is that true?

Bob Buster proposed a campaign funds ordinance in 2004. Anyone know what happened to it.

Not only that..but voluntary spending ceilings, additional disclosures, enforcement and auditing, etc.

I suspect it didn't go anywhere.

This quote is just begging for that song For the Love of Money.

    "
"Unfortunately, money is the mother's milk of politics," said Stone on the state of campaign fund raising."

I just noticed that one of the lobbyists hired by Riverside is a campaign donor of Stone. Cliff Madison

    ^ I agree with Smurf.
I think Stone has his mind made up for whatever reason be it stupidity, blackmail or payoffs. Anything scientology hands him is gold. Anything someone says about scientology is to be deflected, ignored or minimized.

Now some of the other county council representatives *might* be receptive. But the cult has plenty of time to work them over.

Something else to consider is the cult's approach of Black PR. The intent is to discredit the opponent & make the opponent spin their wheels attempting to defend themselves. And that is what I see in this thread.

We have some very legitimate reasons to protest scientology & especially Gold Base. We should highlight that more.

LIke maybe a 3 minute video of a certain Stone-breaker named Lirra saying "You got that from Sceintology didn't you? You funneled money back and forth from your campaign to your sister, didn't you? You decided to be a corrupt politician and get in bed with Scilos and made up lie after lie after lie about ord 884, didn't you?

    DIDN'T YOU?!?!?!"

    over and over again.

    This^^

We know it is propaganda bullshit and could with little effort debunk it and with assemble a more professional pamphlet extolling our virtues.

Debunking it would only serve a purpose if we can use it prove he did not exercise due diligence in authenticating evidence presented to the board and that when asked to authenticate the evidence and its origins he was unable to do either.

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Every time I've spoken to a scientologist I've always had the response "you can't believe everything you read on the internet".

So... why can't they see that in this case?

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

I suppose one way to get around the three minute limitation.. is for lirra to produce a video of the first part of her speech and someone else could play it.. then she could come in live and finish the speech with her three minutes....

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

When and why was this 3 minute thing introduced, and was it democratically voted on and passed?

I'd be very interested to know what prompted the change of a rule (passing your time to someone else to speak longer) that had presumably served the county well for a number of years.
  17. Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

another way to go around the 3 minutes limit is by being cordinated:

think a 30 minute theatrical production in 10 acts type event

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

In the interest of truth, public comment at the Riv. BOS meetings has always been 3 minutes. The Board, however, was very relaxed about the rule and allowed people to donate their minutes during this time. Untill, of course, Stone started being called on his lies.

When an item is on the Agenda, others can still donate their minutes to one speaker, with a maximum of 9 minutes.

IIRC, Larry Flynt sued Jerry Falwell for reproducing a parody that ran in the pages of Hustler. Falwell didn't make a dime on the redistribution, which took the form of a free newsletter to the Moral Majority folk or somesuch.

Here's an idea -- let's recruit Larry Flynt. He loves to screw with politicians and sanctimonious assholes. He's got money and more propoganda distribution channels than you can shake a stick at.

    LARRY FLYNT FTW!!!

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

This has already been brought up several times in the meetings, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to mention it again.

It is still unresolved, but it's clear that if Golden Era Productions as a whole is considered a residence, then the road would be inside the limit since it runs through with Golden Era Productions on both sides of the road. In the meetings, the cult lawyer said that it still would be possible to protest, but did not point out any area where it would be allowed.

It's clear that the purpose of this ordinance was to entrap human rights activists protesting at Golden Era Productions by passing an ordinance that would be as confusing and open-ended as possible, by presenting it as an ordinance against targeted residential picketing like Stone himself had taken part in, but after the ordinance got passed to mis-apply it by dragging the protesters into court, where the protesters eventually would have won the court case, but Scientology would still get their money's worth out of Stone by keeping the protesters tied up in court for months and years.

The watered down ordinance that they have gotten now, would have been used to get protesters in jail, either by using a few corrupt deputies, or by performing violent citizens arrests, threatening the sheriff's department with lawsuits if they didn't arrest people, or a combination of the above

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Next to Scientology, Jerry Falwell was like a cute little bunny. I don't think Larry Flynt has the balls to do something like that.
  25. Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Whilst I fear the board would never let Team Riverside get away with it, it's still a damn fine idea.

I'll buy a drink for anyone who's involved in pulling it off.

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Interesting how the source of the concern is the county when Tommy Davis says it, and the source was Scientology when the county says it. Did it magically appear in the air between them? It's a miracle!

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Hmm - Could it be that there's a front group in the mix that they dare not acknowledge, lest the clam's 501c3 status be jeopardized for engaging in verboten political activity?

Paging Deep Clam. Deep Clam to the white courtesy phone...

edit: Assuming that there's a "front group" involved may be a red herring. DM might just be arrogant enough in his own back yard to funnel cash to local politicians via employees DIRECTLY FROM RTC/CST COFFERS. And THAT, imo, would be GAME OVER for the tax exemptions.

And if he's doing that, it makes sense to me that he'd use the same people who are making housecalls to those politicians anyway to deliver the propoganda booklets.

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Wait - wasn't Stone one of the protesters that targeted a specific residence?

Wouldn't there have been questions about that specific instance of targeted residential picketing?

Why wasn't the board given information about "the type of people" who protested then?

Make THAT a part of the next public comment - show the people who were at the other protests, and make sure Stone is in every picture. Ask if he considers if his actions then would or would not have violated the reg.

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

This is a critical point, which has been brought up repeatedly in the past.

The best suggestion I have, is to ask the Survey Division of the Department of Transportation
for Riverside County to do a re-survey of that section (the 19600-19700 address block)
of Gilman Hot Springs Road (in what is an unincorporated area).

The reasons for making that request, would be to delineate not only a legal protest zone
(mandated by Ordinance 884) but also to investigate possible encroachment (by fences
or other unpermitted structures of Gold Base) into the legal right of way of this
section of ("secondary" status) county highway.

Their web address has contact information.

    http://www.rctlma.org/trans/index.html

Technically, anyone with an intention of protesting Gold Base at some indeterminate
date in the future, would have sufficient legal standing and reason to ask for a re-survey there.

The alternative, is to pay for this to be re-surveyed by a private engineer.
  34. Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

    private party surveys are expensive

reporting the encroachment of doublespike fences and flowerbeds onto transportation right of way seems moar better

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

You know, it occurs to me that the scifags would have been keen to show exactly where the borders are so they could prove that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, for trespass case that they had a legitimate argument against anonymous, also to justify 884.

Doesn't the fact they haven't called for it say volumes?

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Over 9000 anons, and not a single surveyor in the bunch?
  39. TomVorm Member

Re: 3/24 RivCo Supes Meeting Fireworks

Measurements of the centerline of Gilman Hot Springs Road, include measurements of a series of radiuses of circles. Circle radii calculation may require access to locations on the sides of the roads for accuracy.

Only a government official, or a California-licensed surveyor, would have legal access to portions of Gold Base (where measurements would have to be made from).

It would be cool if someone made a 3 minute video version of the lies Jeff Stone has told, so one of the "shy" local could copy it and bring it to the next meeting.
