Why wasn't the bus driver arrested for locking the people in the bus?
lol...I coulda been on that bus.
If the driver's goal was to get the people off the bus, why would he lock them in?
I smell a big lawsuit against Greyhound and the driver, if not criminal charges for unlawful detainment.
he herped instead of derped
either one, I smell twouble
Needless to say, Anons promptly doxed the fuck out of the idiot.
I'm sure he's had an interesting night and will have an interesting few days.
LOL, penis, meet hornet's nest.
LOL ...so a Catholic bus driver could kick a woman off the bus for going to Planned Parenthood?
Or a vegan bus driver could kick a guy eating a meatball sub off the bus?
I could go on, but you get the idea. It's similar to fundy pharmacists refusing to fill birth control pill prescriptions.
I would lol if that driver woke up in the middle of the desert and had to walk out. Yes I would.
I would also lol if that faggot got eated by 'yotes. Just sayin.
So, what if some newly unemployed bus driver's home was about to be foreclosed upon? I bet Occupiers would defend him even if he is an asshole. He's about to get perspective on being part of the 99%.
That's funny. But stupid.
the answer is simople. call for a boycott of greyhound.
Sounds like normal behaviour for every vegan I've ever met.
regardless what you think of those occupyfailfags.... The driver deserves a nomination for the internation troll awards ^-^
Fail. No videos of the incident.
Police have prohibited to upload video with driver's massacred face on the internet.
The policy allowing drivers to eject any passenger makes sense. They are responsable for the safety and comfort of all the passengers, they need some authority.
That said, this guy personally need to get a busload of grief over this. He abused is two-bit power for personal reasons.
They can't. A judge might try but there is no way cops can prohibit something like that.
cops can prohibit by taking the camera away, or the memory card,
or by standing there breathing over the perp, and insisting they delete everything, "or else".
Cops have powers granted them by the state and the Law,
and then they have powers granted them by tradition and the Gun.
good ones don't abuse it.
Yes, officer, see me delete the files, everything is gone now, sir.
Waits until away from scene and uses memory card recovery utility...
Given the description of events, the police do not have the authority to do so. As stated above ^^^ a judge can do it, but not an officer unless he's enforcing an existing COURT order. The placing of the driver's face (ugly or not - I guess that's a personal judgement call) on the web without his permission would be a CIVIL tort, not a criminal act. But if there's a public right of way in the bus terminal or no signage prohibiting the use of cameras in the area, anything shot there is (excuse the phrase) fair game for posting.
Caveat: IANAL, but I worked in the system...
On what grounds would the police confiscate the memory card or the camera? Given the descriptions of what occurred, there would be no grounds for such a confiscation and were it me, I'd call for the county sheriff or state police and file a theft charge against the officer who took my camera.
See my other post about deleting...
I have an app that, when apptivated, hoovers up all the video and stills from my droid and keeps it away in a cloud where the cops can't get it.
The idea of 'no grounds' sort of flies out the window when a very aggressive man with a gun and a badge is making demands of you. It takes more balls to stand that ground than many people have, which is exactly why cops act that way.
And what Barbz said, all our cameras should stream directly to the cloud.
("Hey you, get offa MY cloud")
We need an app that streams cellphone video directly to a cluster of offshore servers. Call it WikiCorder or something like that.
Basically what I was thinking, but I believe that streaming it directly is better, just in case LEO snatches your gear before the backup to the cloud completes.
You make a painfully good point. Of course in this imperfect world shit like this happens.
I suggest (safely from my armchair) that an Anon who complies defiles his GF mask.
Sadly, the fervor that led a bunch of unarmed and unqualified kids to openly confront an international crime syndicate is diluted these days.
Note to self: view more pics of people who died in Arab Spring protests.
r/ name of app.
unfortunately, the Homeland Security act has given police departments the ability to ignore due process.
Then the Homeland Security act is unconstitutional.
QIK is for droids.
Its just like the Patriot Act, only better.
"In open and shut cases of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation the law's quite clear - it's illegal for businesses to turn away gay customers or discriminate against them when providing goods or services, and this can't be overridden by personal prejudice."
... and since Occupy is totally gay ...
How do we know the occupiers were not also humongous douches?
They could have been dumped for any number of sane reasons, and just happened to be occupiers.
I've met some of those queens.... And I've wanted to slap them about the face repeatedly with a rusty chainsaw for the way they behaved.
If they were black... they'd blame that to
And that verdict was overturned upon appeal
The Homeland Security Act is worded in a way that it can be interpreted in many ways. The police departments can decide what they see as a threat to public safety. This stinks of the "fill in the blank warrants" like the writs of assistance issued to the British troops in Colonial America. When you ask the policemen to see a warrant these days, you will be laughed at. I have seen it happen to neighbors. Just watching the news sickens me. The American Dream, and the principles it was conceived on, are going the way of the dinosaur.
Greyhound bus drivers used to do the same thing to black people.
Nowadays, black people are president of the USA.
Fuck that driver, for sure, but we shall overcome.
Here are a few problems I have with the whole issue:
Letting the bus driver find out who you are and where you are headed is not exactly uber 1337. Sad that one of Anon's bastard children didn't inherent the tinfoil gene.
More importantly, we can't trust old media to hold itself to the same "dox or STFU" standard than we do. They may well have be ejected for behavioral or hygienic reasons. Of course that is not a news story.
Someone who cares please post more data.
They weren't tossed off for being Occupiers.
It was because every five minutes they'd go: "Mic check! MIC CHECK! Are we there yet? ARE WE THERE YET?"
Prove me wrong.
