Anonymous originally chose Scientology as a campaign target because of the events surrounding the now infamous Tom Cruise Scientology video. While the video itself was not enough to spark interest, the untamed aggression of the Church of Scientology to remove it did.

Since the campaign began, Anonymous has uncovered or brought into the public eye hundreds of illegal actions, fraudulent activities, and human rights violations perpetrated by the Church of Scientology.

Following allegations of vote rigging after the results of the June 2009 Iranian Presidential Elections were announced, declaring Iranian's Incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as the winner, thousands of Iranians participated in demonstrations.

Anonymous, together with the The Pirate Bay, launched an Iranian Green Party Support forum dubbed Anonymous Iran. The forum allows for information exchange between the world and Iran, despite attempts by the Iranian government to censor news about the rallies on the internet. The site provides resources and support to Iranians who are protesting.

Forum for Canadians to voice their concerns about prorogation and work towards making a better Canada.

The 2nd wave's intent is for prime Minister and MPs to recognize that there needs to be changes in Ottawa. First and foremost: prorogation. As it stands, the decision to call prorogation is at the sole discretion of the Prime Minister. While proroguing is typically done to signal the end of the parliamentary session, this most recent case has shown that the power can be abused.
